A main sewer back up is never a pleasant experience, however I was very pleased with the quick response to our problem. They got the line opened quickly, and then discussed several solutions. We decided to fix the problem once and for all, utilizing the NU FLOW Pipe Reline product that Bob Oates recommended. Shane, Kyle, and Aaron did a very professional job of installing the product. It is expensive, but the cost is way less than digging up the old line and replacing it with new pipe ( not to mention the landscaping that would have been destroyed in the process ) . I highly recommend this Company and the NU FLOW product.

Bob Oates plumber showed up on time and took care of our leaky faucet. Price was exactly what was purchased online (except tax) and they did not try to up-sale us. Overall good experience.

The service we got from Bob Oates staff was awesome! The technician was really helpful over the phone in explaining pricing and getting someone out right away (late evening, emergency service). The actual plumber, Shane, went above and beyond for us. Our side sewer spit back the clogged water all over him and he just cleaned off, changed his shirt, and kept on working til the job was done. True professional! Punctual, efficient, and made sure we didn't get billed for anything he didn't actually do. Can't thank the guy enough. Will definitely contact Bob Oates again in the future.

I usually can fix this type of problem but unable to this time. Saw this AL special for $99. Promptly arrived first thing AM. Was able to remove hair, etc using 25' electrical auger (snake) and correct problem. Done in 20 min.

Jeremy arrived on time and completed the job in less than 30 mins. He was very knowledgeable and was happy to answer our questions on what kind of filters we can buy to reduce the amount of hair/soap that goes into the drain. He did a thorough and professional job, and cleaned up after his work was done. I will definitely hire Jeremy and Bob Oates Sewer company again.

They were trying to clear sewer line and they were actually unsuccessful. It wasn't their fault because the link of the hose could only go so far and it was beyond that point. They did the best that they could but we weren't able to get the line cleared. It was okay. They didn't do anything wrong. The gentleman that we had was very nice and very helpful. He did the best he could but it wasn't good enough. They were pretty reasonable. The service was good. They were out there very quickly. I would choose them again.

It went totally different from what the message says. First, the technician said he needed to charge me $200 to locate the leakage. Since it was cold and I was reluctant to send him back, I agreed. He started took out blocks of upper garage frame, then he started breaking the walls of cabinets under the vanity in the master bathroom which is over the garage. He came back in a week to fix the problem. Then he had to break some more cabinets under the vanity to further locate the leakage. This means, he shouldn't have charged me $200 initially to locate the leakage because he didn't locate the leakage in the first place. Secondly, his estimate of $1800 was based on his wrong diagnosis in the first place. I called the office the day before he was coming over to fix, and asked the lady if we needed any second opinion on the diagnosis as he had to break the cabinet upstairs when the wet spot is in the garage and I didn't quite have confidence in what he was doing. The lady said, their technicians are very competent. He came back and broke some more cabinet bits and pieces upstairs, and ended up replacing the pipe in the garage. He told me I owe him the amount that was estimated initially. When I confronted him that his estimate was based on a false and wrong diagnosis which was much more complex than what he just did, he gave me $300 discount. I still had to pay $1600 some dollars and initial $200 for the wrong location of the leakage, and most of all, I have thousands of dollars worth of damage with my cabinets upstairs. That night after he left, we noticed the hot water re-circulation pump was not working, and we had to let the hot water run for 3 minutes to get the warm water. When I called them up next morning, the same lady said, she had no clue on the plumbing and she would have the technician in contact. When the technician called that afternoon, he said what he did had nothing to do with the hot water circulation pump. He said, he could send someone over to my house, but I declined his offer knowing how they are. I had to order the pump online and was going to have someone install it. Two days later when I got the pump, the circulation pump went back working normal again. In other words, he may not have done something intentionally to interrupt the circulation pump from working, but whatever he did triggered the pump to stop working tor 2 days. Now I'm stuck with the pump I don't need, with damage on the cabinets upstairs and bitter feeling that I got ripped off. Technician himself couldn't help it. I'm sure he did what he had to do. But the company should have send someone with more experience, perhaps general manager, to assess the situation before leaving all that damage behind. After all the damage, he ended up fixing it in the garage and took him just about 10 minutes. In other words, I paid him $1800 some dollars to locate the leakage by breaking and destroying the cabinets upstairs. I hope there will be no more innocent consumers like myself get damaged by some company like this.

Perfectly. The front office responded to our email within hours. The technician arrived exactly within his 1-hour ETA. He was pleasant, professional, personable, and super-efficient. He quoted the job before he started, and completed his work swiftly. We are putting Bob Oates on our "go to" list for household repairs and maintenance.

I really like him. I left a message and called me back right away after hours. We talked about the problem and he said would call back in the morning with the pricing. He called me back when he said he would and gave me a good estimate.

They ended up coming out twice, because the first time the lead and the scissors weren't long enough. It went fine after that. Aaron was the one that came out to do the work. He cleared the drain for me and let me know that I'll need to have a bigger job done later, because the roots that were in the drain will eventually grow back. He walked me through what I need to do to eliminate the problem altogether. He showed me the video that they took from inside the drain, too. I'm glad they were able to come out and get it fixed, even if it's a stop-gap.

This is a very old house, and I thought it went very well. Casey, was very professional in explaining the problems, roots, and was conscience of not making too much of a mess i n our basement, and actually made very little mess. I was pleased with his work and would definitely hire them again.

The workers had to work around tree roots, but handled the challenge professionally.

Toilets with poop overflowing can't really go great but the plumber for Oates did it absolutely as well as it could be done. And I got a video of the offending roots that are seeking water in my drain system. I've paid a lot more for a lot less.

All phases were completed in good order with different crews tackling each element with positive results. The crews were all courteous, professional and explained various work elements as they progressed. Having worked for the City of Seattle managing contractors and sewer replacements, I was impressed with the Bob Oates team, their attention to detail and completion of the task at hand. Aaron was quite helpful and always in communication with us to let us know the status as the work taking place. Of course, like all complicated projects there was a glitch - namely the concrete sidewalk restoration. Aaron stepped up and after an initial less than perfect sidewalk restoration, he called in another contractor to demolish and redo the sidewalk paving. My compliments to Oates for recognizing the problem and immediately fixing it. I have waited a couple of months to write this review as I wanted to assure that everything functioned properly in the Seattle rains (downspout connections etc.). Everything appears in order and we are pleased with the results. We would recommend hiring them again and ask for Aaron as the project manager.

the first "pipe cleaner" was a nice guy, but FAR too aggressive. He Popped the Secured cap/cover off the secondary pipe, then ran water through it (down the wall, down the outside the window below, and into the ceiling below. The second one did the very same thing (AFTER I told him what happened in detail). Then the plumber decided that they should open up the walls in 3 locations with a saw and found the problem right after the second flooding. When we called the owner of the Co. he said he would get back to my husband (TWICE) and never did.

Excellent Isaac did a fabulous job was knowledgeable about plumbing. Was very satisified with the work that he did.

They did a great job but I was charged an extra fee due to the type of drain I had cleaned.

They sent someone over immediately to take care of the issue. Not only did he take care of the upstairs toilet but checked the pipes under our kitchen sink and made sure that the downstairs toilet was working fine. He then made suggestions about toilet replacements and we haven't had any issues since.
