it went great. I gave bad info on the broken light switch so the replacement switch wasn't the correct model, but AmyWorks came back with the correct model and got it all working perfectly, all with a smile and a can -do attitude!

They were really responsive to my original request and were able to fulfill my request within a day's time. Diana showed up right on time and was very professional. She knew just what to do to handle the plaster walls and was able to advise me on some other questions I had for future projects. I will definitely call upon their services again!

She recommended a Crown Plumbing and did not charge for the visit.

I was looking for an outfit to do various jobs for my BF. AmyWorks responded very quickly and were very professional. Unfortunately my BF couldn't bring himself to pull the trigger on starting work. But that's not Amy's fault! I will definitely contact them again when I'm ready to have some work done.

This entire transaction was top-notch. We are new to the neighborhood and I liked the idea of hiring someone who is more local. We moved into our house a few months ago and are slowly getting everything situated the way we like--one of those things being replacing the horrible kitchen faucet that it came with. I've done faucets before, but this setup was more advanced than I was comfortable with. I used the contact form on their website to initiate the appointment and within a few hours received an e-mail from Shelia asking for a few more details and everything was confirmed with a few more replies. Grace showed up right on time this morning ready to work. She was very personable and friendly, I really enjoyed our conversation throughout the entire appointment, there were no awkward silences to be found. She was kind enough to tell me what she was doing and explain some tips/tricks for future similar projects. She cleaned up after herself and offered to recycle the packaging and old hardware. The new faucet is now installed perfectly and I love having it. From start to finish I am completely impressed with all levels of service provided by AmyWorks. I will definitely be contacting these ladies again in the future for other projects we have planned. At our old house we had a faucet installed by another company (found on Angie's List) who did a great job, but the cost was about double for the same work. The value with AmyWorks is great.

Mail theft is a huge problem in our neighborhood, so we invested in a secure lockbox. That said, all the pieces and parts were daunting to a mechanical moron like myself, so I called Amyworks. They have done dozens of projects big and small around our house: built our front stairs, replaced rotten deck boards, vacuumed our dryer line (essential annual service), fixed lights, patched drywall, etc. In this case, they assembled the mailbox and stand, dug a hole, poured cement and planted it in and leveled it. If I would have done it, it would have been a wobbly eyesore anyone could have plucked out of the mud. In their hands, it looks like a million bucks. Whether you need them to blow out an entire to-do list or just swing in and nail a single task, they are the ones to call. Other handymen make you feel like an idiot for being unable to do basic mechanical fix-it stuff, and they charge a lot because they know you're desperate. Amyworks has a friendly "happy to do this for you' attitude so I can keep doing what I'm good at, and they can do the stuff they are great at -- which is everything around the house.

Diana showed up on time at 9 am as scheduled and was friendly and personable. She got right to work on fixing, measuring, and repairing. In the end, not all of our items were able to be fixed (i.e. the hot water is as hot as it gets), but she provided excellent and quick advice and input on these things. Overall, I was really happy with her and wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future!

AmyWorks came in with the best price for this small job. Shelia, who I think was the receptionist, was very attentive. She was quick to respond to questions and helpful in scheduling the appointment. I was able to do this all by email which was very convenient for me. Grace was the handywoman that was sent out for our job. She was kind enough to call to say that she was running 15 minutes late for our appointment . It was a short wait and definitely worth it. She was friendly, cheery and knowledgeable and was easily able to mount a bathroom grab bar in a difficult area. Grace was also very detail oriented and even went to the extra effort to patch very small nail holes that were in the wall. The holes were behind the grab bar and probably would never have be noticed. It was a fabulous experience and I would definitely use them again or recommend them to friends.

This should have been easy, but it turned out not to be. The plumbing is old and there was some rust. Susan Barnes worked very hard to solve the problem in what was a very confine space. She was cool tempered and professional. If I had done the job, there would have been thrown wrenches and a lot of nasty language long before the job was complete. She did a great job and I would use Amysworks again.

AmyWorks, Inc., has people available that are qualified verses other places that don't. Their work is great, I mean fine. I can interact with them through e-mail so I don't have to play phone-tag.

Amy and her assistant came in on time and they were both very nice. They were professional, fast and clean. I was very satisfied with their service and the price and would not hesitate to recommend them.

I had an emergency in my house as the hot water heater had rusted through the bottom and leaked over the protective plastic "dish" at the bottom all over the laundry room and kitchen floors.On the same day, my dishwasher sprung a leak!!My one toilet had been leaking (controlled by turning the water valve on and off)-so I decided to get a new toilet and have Amy Works fix it (as everything we'd tried didn't work).Well, let me tel you-this company (I have a hard time calling them a company b/c they are just a few laid back (yet extremely professional) competent women).One of the gals met me at the hardware store to pick up the pre-selected and pre-paid appliances which was perfect!Then Amy was to meet us at my house (she was about 30-40 minutes late-but it didn't matter as she had the quicker job and I was paying them by their actual work time-so I wasn't bothered by it at all).Clearly one of the gals was in a more apprentiship mode; and it was really refreshing to see her ask so many questions (many "what if" questions for the future) and to see how patient Amy was in answering and spending time with her. I really admired their work ethic and work model.I'd hire them again in a heartbeat, as well as recommend them to anyone who needs services they offer.

I made an appointment a couple weeks ahead. They showed up right on time, fixed the windows quickly, explained everything that they were doing, and did it all really fast. What else would you want from a handy(wo)man? I look forward to hiring Amy & staff again and taking her workshops.

I purchased 2 hours of service through an Angie's List discount offer. I was seeking services at the same time this small firm experienced a staff tragedy.. They worked very hard to get services to me in the midst of their sadness and their need to reorganize all the services they were committed to. I like that this is a women's handyperson company. I will definitely use them again. The only thing I wasn't told is that there is a 1 hour minimum (which I could easily have guessed) but I think it's important to make time and cost issues clear at the beginning.

:Very professional and pleasant workers. The work was done quickly and cost as much as they said it would. I was pleased with the nice tile job and the clever idea for the kitchen ceiling.(Wainscotting : faster and easier than painting). Everything was explained carefully beforehand. The work was actually done very quietly.

I purchased the 88. for two hours of handywoman services deal. I had only good experiences with this company including ease of communication and scheduling, promptness, responsiveness, quality work and professionalism. I will definitely use this company again in the future. Amy listened to my input and was patient with all of my questions. I will definitely call this company again for future jobs!

they took about 5 hours the first day they came out and they had to come out another day and they were not on time either day... they did adjust the price to be fare since it was taking so long, which was very nice... but the faucet is still not connected to the sink it moves around when you move from sink side to side and the valves are still leaking..

She was very knowledgeable about how to install the ceiling fans. She crafted a brace above the ceiling to support them.The price was reasonable and I would recommend the company to others.I will also be giving them a call for future handy work.

.Susan, one of Amy's carpenters did an excellent job with the arbor. The wisteria had broken the previous support and had fallen over a raised vegetable bed. Susan was able to deal with that mess and translate my wishes into an attractive and secure platform for the wisteria again. This one is not going to collapse! At a later date, she came back and finished the deck for me. neither project was terrible complex but both were performed well and I was pleased with the results.
