Movers showed up a few minutes early! They had to move a full storage bin from one storage facility to another. They loaded the truck exactly as I wanted it to be, what would be in the front of the new facility and what would be along the back wall. I requested that they put boxes along the walls so there would be a center aisle. They did it just as I requested! They brought everything but the truck; blankets, pallets, wrappings etc. It was a very easy move and all because these men were so professional and were happy that I had loading the truck all planned out! What's more, they did this move in the pouring rain with not one complaint!! What could have been a horror was turned into a wonderful experience!! Please pay no attention to Home Build Year. I had to choose something, but there was no home involved

Another smooth move with Aaron Glide. The staff arrived promptly and the move went as smooth as silk. They showed care and flexibility in that the remodel was not as far along as I was lead to believe so it was not as straight forward of a move as we anticipated. That being said, the guys did a terrific job moving the boxes and furniture around the fresh paint and all the other things that were going on during the move. Great job!

Aaron Glide is simply the best service for moving in the Greater Seattle area. They showed up on time and had no problem finding the correct building in this complex. They knew in advance that our mother was nervous (93 years old and doesn't like change) so they were very careful to be respectful of this and kindhearted. They were accommodating in every way possible and extremely careful with my mother's personal items. They moved all the jewelry, small kitchen wares and other loose items off to a free counterspace in order to move the large furniture items to the next apartment. They brought all their own tools and moving supplies as a part of the cost. Once they started, they were moving quite fast in getting things into the hallway and then came and got me to determine where to place items in the new place. I ended up changing my mind a few times, but they didn't seem to mind a bit and quickly moved the piece or pieces of furniture for me to the next location, even if it was just a few inches here or there!!! They were SO nice the entire time and didn't make me uncomfortable in any way about changing my mind. Very accommodating and kindhearted, as they knew this was a difficult move for our mother. Nice guys! They moved the entire apartment plus changes and a lot of the small items, plants, lamps, etc. that we thought we were going to move ourselves - they did it all for us and in only 2 hours! Description of Work: I was trying to get a quote and service info to move my mother from her condo into a senior community. Most of my questions were answered by the office manger but I needed had questions that the owner needed to answer before I could schedule a date. I called back on several occasions over 4 days never reaching him and was finally told to call in the mornings as he ran errands in the afternoons. I reach him this morning and he has to leave for an appointment...I ask for a time I can reach later and he goes into how he and the manager are interchangeable then hands the phone to her.. Bottom Line POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I had to think long and hard about this review - at the end of the day, the crew sent did EXACTLY what we wanted them to do, pretty difficult circumstances. This review would have been Straight A's and COMPLETELY superlative but for ONE issue. The best way to describe it is to review the WHOLE deal. We're moving from a 2200 Sq Ft house in Sammamish to an 1100 Sq Ft house in Prosser (about 180 miles/3 hours away). We have been in the house for over 25 years, and are a family of "pack rats". In addition to the house, we had a 10x12 storage locker, packed to the rafters with our parent's (all deceased) household goods and possessions. The move was further complicated by the fact that due to my job, we have effectively been "moved out" of the old house for almost a year, and have had very little opportunity to "purge" or even clean the old house. The week we did the move was VERY carefully planned (which went awry, see below). The 40' container we used arrived on Monday. On Tuesday, several friends came over and we unloaded the storage locker into the container First issue - the storage locker move took twice as long as we expected, and there was SIGNIFICANTLY more "stuff" in the locker than we remembered. Wednesday was SUPPOSED to be our day to PACK the house, with the help of some friends. Second issue - our friends backed out, AND, we needed to spend Wednesday "purging" the stuff from the storage locker. The container lift/move was scheduled for Friday and could NOT be postponed. So - Thursday morning when the crew showed up, things were a complete disaster. We were nowhere near as packed as we wanted to be and there was still "junk" and "stuff to be purged" everywhere. Third issue - I should have called Chris (the owner) Wednesday and "reset expectations". As they inspected and discussed what to do, the crew understandably got pretty upset. One of them commented that we were one of the most disorganized clients he'd seen in 8 years. After some discussion, the crew agreed to give us their "best effort" Here's the "BIG ISSUE" - once the crew had agreed to go ahead, I was informed that they would need CASH payment, despite the fact that I had several previous discussions with Chris, and confirmed in each one of them that a personal check would be acceptable payment. I explained to the crew that our banking relationships had already been transferred to our new home and that generating that much (we had budgeted $2,000, including a cash tip) cash would be difficult, if not impossible. This issue, along with the all of the previous stress, reduced my wife to tears. The "excuse" the crew and Chris gave us was that they didn't know that we were doing a "one way" move of such a distance and were worried about the check clearing. It was only after a lengthy and somewhat contentious (at least I viewed it that way) phone conversation that Chris agreed to take our check. So - the crew went to work and did an AMAZING job of putting "10 pounds of 'stuff' in a 5 pound sack". They were COMPLETELY professional and courteous. They worked NON STOP from about 10 AM to 3 PM; and, as I said earlier, got everything we wanted moved packed into the container. Everything was carefully packed, wrapped, padded and loaded, and I can report that the container arrived at our new location with NO damage whatsoever. Here's the rub, and why this isn't a 100% glowing review - because both my wife and I were so upset about the issues with the check; we were pretty much "out of touch" for the first few hours of the move. As a result, several things (filing cabinets, the cover for the back the "hatch" in my wife's car, some tools) that we had wanted packed LAST (so as to be accessible - we're gradually moving into our new place, which is not completely finished yet) were "buried" in the front on the container. Again - the OVERALL experience was positive, and we would DEFINITELY use and recommend Chris and his crew - the ONLY caveat I would have would be to be REALLY explicit about method of payment and/or make sure you have a "cash backup".
Description of Work: Loaded a 40' container for a move - packed pictures and other breakables; made the best of a difficult situation (see detailed review) due to our lack of prep. Did an OUTSTANDING job of packing and loading the container.

The 3 guys showed up at U-Haul when they said they would be there, then proceeded to our home by Fauntleroy Ferry Dock. They emptied the house in two trips and it was all I could do to keep up with them, directing what was to go and what was to stay. They were done by early afternoon (this was a 4 bedroom house) and they swiftly reloaded the van with gas and returned it to the U-Haul place. They listened, they were courteous, they took directions and were fun to work with.

This is my first experience with 'Self-Movers' and it was fantastic. The crew of 3 showed up on time and worked efficiently and tirelessly expertly loading and packing up the truck. The were very self directed which was nice as I still had a few boxes left to pack up. On arriving at the new house, they drove the truck over, parked it, and unloaded everything, including a huge and heavy project table that had to be lifted up and over the second floor balcony to fit inside the house! They finished 20 minutes before the minimum time (4 hours) after reassembling the beds. Great service, great price, and I would highly recommend them.

Professionalism at its best. We were not nearly as fully packed as expected, the 4-person crew did a great job of filling about 3 dozen more boxes with our stuff. The move went very well, with only a couple of minor wall dings in our new house despite some large/heavy items that required very deft movements on stairs, etc. We definitely saved hundreds over a standard moving company (although not quite as much as I had expected).
Description of Work: Did lots of packing, plus loaded a 24-ft truck with furniture, boxes, etc. and some heavy garden items, then unloaded at our new home. Also unloaded contents of two 5'x8' storage containers from front of new home.

From the beginning to end, their services could not have been better. Christopher told us exactly what was needed to prepare and pack for this move. Lonnie, Daniel, and Justin arrived early, came prepared and began on time. They were courteous, professional and worked very hard the entire time it took to load the truck. Christopher, of Aaron Glide Movers, set up our date, gave us good advice on the truck and packing, called a couple data ahead to confirm, and called back the evening of our move to thank us for our business. He was always responsive and very easy to deal with. Lonnie, Keenan, and Dan picked up the truck and showed up promptly (earlier than I thought they'd be, actually). They were super friendly and courteous, worked hard all day, were extremely careful to protect everything, took apart the difficult stuff - and reassembled it correctly at the new house - and after everything was moved, they offered to move things around if I wasn't satisfied with the placement. They were all great! I highly recommend these guys!!

They did the job quickly (5.25 hrs) and packed the truck very tightly with our belongings. Considering the truck was going from WA to IN, there was very little damage in transit, which is a testament to the quality of packing. Overall, they did a great job, and I had a positive experience.

My two man crew was running a bit behiind. Received a call from Chirs informiing of same. Crew showed up within 5 minutes of Chirs's estimated time of arrival.. Immediialey began to work. Carrying furniture and packed boxes from the second floor to a small outslide landing and a 90 degree turn down stiars to walkway. Very steep, very crowded. They emptied the townhouse in less than two hours. Incredible. THEN we went to my storage unit and loaded all the boxes we had room for on the truck. Again the guys moved with speed and accuracy. The truck was FULL. Driving the rental truck from Kent to north Tacoma, tnere was no shift fo the load in the truck. Everything arrived as it had been loaded. I had packed the boxes and almost expected some breakage. Not the way this team loaded the truck. Simply amazing. The offlolad at the new house was anticlimatic. One level, wide doors, hardwood floors.Furniture was reassembled, and positioned. Boxes to the appropriate rooms. Seemingly effortlessly. Today it seems to be very rare to receive value for the price paid. Chris and his crew absolutely amaze. The quality and quantity fo work performed for their very good price. I think even Nordstrom could take lessons from Chris and crew on dellvering excellent service and value. HIRE THESE GUYS! Make your move effortless.

I thought I had bought a house, but I was out-bid and the sale fell through. So I called Aaron Glide to move the date and he got all snarky with me (believe me, I wanted to move... but it just didn't happen) for changing the date and said he would never work with me in the future.... And I was giving him 6 weeks notice! That's absurd! I can understand if I didn't call him until the day before the move was supposed to happen and cancel, but I was giving him 6 weeks of notice! He is so smarmy and smug... a truly horrible experience. And after chiding me like a child, he hung up n me.... So unprofessional...and I am SO glad I did not hire them. The other thing that really bothered me was that I had to go and rent a truck myself. What moving company does not own a truck? I was willing to look past that... And here is the other reason he deserves an F rating in every single category: He said to me that if I promised to give him a straight A Angie's List report, he would give me 5% off. Isn't that cheating? DO NOT HIRE THIS PERSON!!!!!!

The guys arrived at the scheduled time, basically, we had to wait a few minutes for some of them, but we were late with the truck, so that was ok. There seemed to be a little confusion about what they were expected to do, but that was quickly resolved. They worked quickly, (almost too quickly, because I couldn't be everywhere at once, and there were things taken to the truck that should not have, but that's not their fault). I had about 70% of my stuff packed, I thought, and didn't think it would take that much to get the rest done, but I just have too much stuff!!! They were courteous, helpful and efficient. My only issue was that I had some peg board that I had tacked up initially with 3m command strips to hold it in place (because I was working alone) then screwed in, and I had not gotten it down yet on moving day. So, rather than taking the time to pull the command strips before pulling the peg-board off the wall, Lance just pried it off the wall with his hands. It came off fairly easily for him, but it brought chunks of paint off, too. I was able to get the holes spackled, but ran out of time and couldn't paint the spots to diminish the appearance of the damage, which cost me. I know he was just trying to be helpful, but I wish he had either left that part to me, or been more careful.

The job was flawless! John and Justin arrived on time. They had all the necessary tools. They worked not stop and finished loading the entire truck in under 4 hours. Unbelievable how they managed to pack the truck. When we arrived in Bend, Oregon, I also hired two people from the local mover and as they were unloading they wanted to know who loaded the truck. I told them Glide in Seattle and they said "they did a wonder job loading the truck, everything was packed very well". I would agree with the two un-loaders. Everything came off the truck unblemished. Nothing broken, nothing scratched!!! We were very pleased with Glides' work and would highly recommend them in the Seattle area.

When I contacted Chris Genis, the owner of Aaron Glide Self Mover Service, he asked specifics about my move, including what sorts of items were going to be in the PODS unit, and listened to what I had going on in my move. He very accurately determined that I would need two men for three hours. I had confidence in Chris from the start. Clearly he knows his stuff, and he was absolutely correct about how many movers I would need for the job. Chris checked in with me prior to the move and was accommodating when I had to reschedule my move because of an issue with the PODS delivery. Aaron Glide fit me into their schedule pretty quickly - within 3 days of my original date. Lonnie and Justin arrived on time, ready to work. They introduced themselves, wore Aaron Glide mover t-shirts, were polite, fast, careful, very hard working and accommodating men. I was downsizing after 12 years in my house, and the 16 foot PODS unit was crammed full of boxes, containers, loose items, and solid wood furniture - a 1,500 sq. foot houseful of goods. I was very impressed with Lonnie and Justin. They worked well together - they clearly had a plan and carried it out in a well orchestrated manner. They worked hard and quickly, completing the project right as scheduled. They remained polite and respectful throughout the move and even offered to sweep out the pods unit for me. I would highly recommend Aaron Glide Self Mover Service in a heartbeat and will use them when and if I can contemplate another move.

The crew of two young men showed up on time and were extremely professional during the move. They did not scratch anything! Neither the house or the goods being moved were damaged in any way. First, they got an idea of the scope of the job, then performed it flawlessly, managing to get everything into the truck like a three-dimensional jig saw puzzle. And everything was protected from each other and the truck too. Just beautifully done, and it was done efficiently... had we tried it ourselves it would have been a six hour job, they did it better in just one and a half hours. i would highly recommend these movers, save your back and get it done right and quickly. PS the owner mentioned tipping the men when we signed up, and we did, gratefully.

Great service from start to finish! Chris spent a great deal of time with me on the phone helping me figure out the best options for my cross-country move; he was cordial, funny and professional and really gave me an education about different types and sizes of trucks to consider, what types of fuel, fuel costs, what supplies I would need and in general tons of essential information on how to manage this very complicated move. I took three full pages of notes! They did everything they said they would do and more. They called to confirm a couple days ahead of time, called again the morning of the move to give me an update on the estimated arrival time; showed up on time; worked fast and efficiently, were tidy and professional in every way. They did an awesome job packing the truck and other than the lids to a couple of cheap plastic containers cracking we had no breakage whatsoever, no scratches or dents either. They handled my things with care and they completed the job within the estimated time frame. I was really impressed and pleased and am planning to use their services again for the second part of my cross-country move.

My fiance and I are combining households and needed to move her items from her one-bedroom condo. She contacted Aaron Glide based on Angie's List reviews and the $50 off coupon provided. This company doesn't maintain trucks so we had to rent from the local U-Haul - but they managed for that as well. The movers arrived exactly when the promised and did the job quickly and efficiently. There wasn't a huge amount to move so the whole process went very fast. The movers were friendly and courteous and were very careful with our belongings and household surfaces. I would definitely use this company again in the future and highly recommend their services.
