Overall they were easy to work with and what I was told would happen is exactly what did happen. The team of men worked well together and it made for a smooth move overall.The man responsible for putting the items in the truck, Lonnie, was a magician. He got everything it there, packed it tight and I didn't experience any damange to items. Would definitely recommend them.

Chris was great in helping us get all the details arranged. Our movers, Lonnie and Rick, were also great. They were friendly, efficient and nice to work with. They were on time and prepared with moving pads and ropes to secure things in the truck. They were also happy to accommodate our request to drop several furniture pieces off at our house on the way to the storage unit. We're considering hiring them again in the near future to help us once more.

The experiance was great. They where on time and moved everything out, wraped it all secured all items and did it all under two hours. WOW! Very professional.

After communications problems with another company we engaged Aaron Glide, best move we ever made! They communicated well to make sure we knew what was expected of us and what we could expect of them. They were most punctual at each stage. Lonnie, Rich and Miles were hard workers, friendly and easy to talk with throughout the move. They worked non-stop until everything was loaded and unloaded, a very long day. They were very careful not to mar the house we had sold. They really know how to pack the truck to maximize use of space and minimize shift and chaffing which could cause damage. Having now fully unpacked, we can verify that not one single item was marred, scratched or broken. Everything came through the move very well. I would recommend them to anyone considering a local move or needing a special moving service.

Lonnie and John were our muscle guys on this move. We used Glide in 1997 and we're pretty sure Lonnie was on that move too! They are very hard working, carefully managed our furniture out of our small rental house onto the truck. They got everything into our new house without incident--no wall or furniture dings anywhere, no scratches on our newly refinished hardwoods--making sure they put furniture exactly where we wanted it. They even took a washer and dryer out of the laundry room and put our own in there. We have front loaders (easy to damage) so they were very careful with them and they are working great post move. We couldn't have asked for more cooperative or strong guys!! We sincerely hope to never move again, but if we had to, we would definitely call Glide again and will/have recommended them to friends!!! They were great over the phone, very detailed in explaining what I needed to do, which was arrange for a rental truck. Easy enough. The movers called me the next day and were ready to go at the time I expected. It was a crew of 2 men, who were effecient and friendly. They were careful with everytyhing, nothing was broken or missing. They loaded, drove, and unloaded all in about 2 hours. Saved me a days worth of work, cranky friends, and a bunch of hassle. Money well spent.

The movers were fantastic. They were efficient, professional, honest and careful. My stuff arrived to my new home in great condition (even the piano). Sometimes you find out more about a company when something goes wrong (because occassionally something goes wrong for everyone) than when everything goes right. There was a miscommunication between the dispatcher and the movers and as a result they arrived an hour and 15 minutes late. What was truly surprising was that the dispatcher blamed himself and the movers blamed themselves for being late. Absolutely no finger pointiing from this group of people, only acknowledging full responsibility. They worked extra hard to make up the difference and even gave me a discount for the delay. The manager (Chris) was very cooperative. I felt that he listened to me, was completely honest with me, and respected me as a customer. I would recommend this moving company to anyone. From the moment I spoke with Chris on the phone to the time the movers drove away after the work was done I was delighted. Chris provided an excellent estimate for costs and time, and also provided lots of good tips to get ready for the move itself. The movers were strong, fast, professional. The 'self-moving' concept was just right for us - we provided the truck, they provided the man power and it worked very well. This company exceeded our expectations and I would (and will) recommend them to anyone.

Chris, the owner, gave me an estimate over the phone as to how long the job would take, and he was absolutely right. He called a week before to confirm, and then again on the day of the move to let me know the truck was on its way. There were three men who worked quickly, carefully, and efficiently to get everything on the truck and worked the same way getting everything into my house. They made sure everything was in the proper room and very nicely re-arranged things when I changed my mind. I would highly recommend them and would use them again.

I spoke with Elaine on the 28th of November to discuss a move planned for December 10th and to be given a quote. She was very helpful and explained exactly how their service worked. We knew what to expect. The quote seemed very fair, so we scheduled their services. On Wednesday, December 7th, Chris Genis, the owner, called to confirm the move and the time that the crew would arrive. On the morning of the 10th, Lonnie and John arrived right on time. I went over the details with them and they went towork. They loaded the truck quickly, carefully and efficiently. We arrived at the new apartment just over an hour after they had begun. The move in went just as smoothly and quickly. They were easy to work with and very focused on their task. They cleaned out the truck, and were ready to leave. From beginning to end it took them about 2 1/2 hours. With out question I would use them again. They take pride in what they do, and they do it very well.

John and Lonnie from Aaron Glide moved my furniture and major sized articles for me from one apartment to another about 1 mile away. I picked up a 14 foot Uhaul truck and met them at my old apartment. They were very punctual (arrived exactly at the designated time), quite personable and professional in every way (my most difficult item was a fully assembled treadmill which they were able to take through some tight spaces without having to disassemble). The job went very smoothly, only one trip necessary, and took about 4 hours to complete including their travel time. I would use them again if I ever need to move. Whenever I hear of someone needing moving services I will not hesitate to give them the number for Aaron Glide which I now keep in my phone.

They dispatched a three man crew to the storage unit in Redmond. They arrived ahead of schedule and went right to work, loading everything into the truck efficiently. It took them about two hours to empty the unit and finish packing the truck. Then they followed me to the condo and loaded up all the things we had prepared for moving into the truck. We weren't particularly organized, so we were still packing the condo when they arrived, so we kept filling boxes and they just kept loading them up. At the house, they took a quick tour then went right to work unloading everything. We started the day at 9AM and were done by 3PM. I was really expecting it to take well past 5PM to be done. They provided everything needed to move save the truck: pads, rope, tape, dollys, hand trucks, etc. They had friendly, cooperative, and professional attitudes the whole time, even towards the end of the day when they seemed to be getting worn out. Unlike the folks who moved our stuff out to Washington, nothing was a problem. Have to take an elevator at the storage unit? No problem. Have to use stairs at the condo? No problem. Things needed to be disassembled and reassembled? No problem. Not even done packing? No problem. No sighing, eyerolling, or complaining. They just got the job done. I was seriously expecting an ordeal in moving, what with three geographically disparate locations involved. Aaron Glide made the whole thing very easy.

Everything went good. Our furniture was in storage for and then in transit to another state. Most things came out without a scratch, but the movers failed to use the mattress covers I provided so we had some dirty mattresses when we opened the POD.

Excellent, efficient, impressive - came prepared to get to work, got to work and got after it. They brought all the equipment necessary to aid the move: hand trucks, rope, stretch wrap, moving blankets, four-way dolly. We have several very heavy pieces of furniture, Chris, the owner, sent out three movers, they conferred - thought carefully over how to move the pieces, and each piece went carefully into storage wonderfully. Wow. Appreciated the care they took with items as well. Completed the job within the time estimated with time to spare. Definitely will hire again. Thanks, Lonny, David and John!!!

I coordinated with Chris Genis, the owner, to move all of our furniture back into our house after we had our home remodeled. Since we had new oak hardwood floors, paint, and trim/doors installed, my wife and I wanted to ensure the move in caused no damage. Chris is very clear and upfront about business arrangements, which I found refreshing. He is very courteous, and returned the inquiry message I left immediately. Chris confirmed his mover's availability for the date we needed, and informed me what the baseline rate per hour was. We did a quick estimate over the phone, and made the appointment. Chris followed up twice by phone to confirm details, and get directions to our house. Based on his business-like approach, I had great confidence that his folks would show up on time, on the right date. My confidence was rewarded. Exactly on time, Lonnie and Dave arrived with all needed equipment. I briefed them on what was to be moved, showed them the rooms, and they went to work. They were exceptionally careful, and as a result there were no dings or scratches added anywhere! They worked quickly and efficiently, completing the entire mission in about an hour. The bill was less than the estimate, and accurately reflected the hourly rate Chris had quoted, which included travel time for his crew. Most importantly, I didn't have to impose upon my friends again, and my Spousal Unit was delighted with the results! I would definitely hire AARON GLIDE again, should I find the need to move. I have already recommended their services to several colleagues who are planning a move later this summer. UPDATE: Chris had promised me a $50 rebate if I posted a review on this website. As the company had indeed performed well, I posted the above review. I did in fact receive the coupon rebate (My Spousal Unit had deposited it without informing me!). Chris followed up with me to reinforce the reason for posting a review (good, bad, or neutral) in order to receive the rebate was to verify that I was a registered Angie's List user. Makes sense to me.

Overall, it went very well. We picked up the truck on Friday night so that we would be ready at 9. The movers, John and Eric had a little problem finding our place (but our place is somewhat difficult to find, so it is understandable). They arrived around 9:15. After brief instructions on our overall plan, they promptly went to work. We were surprised how efficiently they loaded the truck. John drove the truck to our house which is about an hour away. Once at the house, they moved some furniture from the house to the storage room above the garage. Then unloaded the furniture and boxes we took from the condo. Then, they loaded the truck with the items we wanted to take to the condo. They unloded the furniture and also moved some furniture at the condo. John and Eric were very pleasant, courteous, and worked well together. We were very pleased about the whole experience. Hope we don't have to move again any time soon, but we will definitely use their service again.

I am very pleased with the service I paid for. Moving is always difficult, and decisions are being made at the last minute. Usually, movers are asking dozens of questions, which causes more confusion than solutions. These movers were very knowledgeable, and if there were decisions requiring my judgment, they were able to develop a system of setting items aside and allowing us to be the best judge, when we could find the time. Nothing like having every single thought in your head being disrupted by question after question -- this time, I could think things through and things worked out better than ever before. The more senior mover took time, in the beginning, instructing the other on the logic of how things were packed into the truck. I could tell, right then, that this service was different. I heard him say, "This is the way we do things...". I like that the movers in the company have a sense of pride in their workmanship, and in the company they represent.

Hopefully we'll never have to move again, but they made far better use of the small spaces in the storage containers than I ever could; each one was packed like a Tetris puzzle. They also brought (and I bought from them) packaging materials to protect sensitive items like bookcases, glass, and other breakables, and then proceeded to wrap the items that needed it in the right way. We didn't have anything break, nor did we sustain even minor damage to our items. They did a great job and we would definitely hire them again.

I did not hire, but I contacted this provider via Angie's List for a moving quote. He got back to me to let me know that he was too busy to provide the work at the time. After that brief email exchange, I received extensive spam from his email address over the course of the next 8 weeks - roughly 5+ spam messages per week - until I figured out how to set up a rule to delete those messages on receipt. However, every mail I received included other recipients in the "to" line, which exposed my email address to random strangers and other possible spammers, and I am just waiting for that to go viral and compromise my email address. After the first spam mail, I sent a note to the address politely telling the owner that his email account appeared to have been taken over by spammers; he might have a worm on his machine; he might have a compromised email account - I didn't know, but would he please look into it. He wrote back and said he didn't know what I was talking about. I forwarded a copy of the spam message. Time passed. More spam, I sent additional copies of the messages. No response. Exasperated, I filed a complaint on Angie's List. Yesterday I got a combative letter from the owner indignantly requesting that I change my complaint & "F" grade since it was unwarranted and it was hurting his business. The letter stated he had no recollection of our email exchange (i.e. he ignored my attempts to resolve the problem directly); that the "F" grade prompted him to have his system examined (not a biz focus on customer service but a biz focus on the negative marketing impact); that the computer techs told him his AOL account had indeed been compromised by Russian spammers; (i.e. - pretty much what I told him from the beginning but he chose to ignore); and that I was being unreasonable to blame him, the innocent bystander victim of Russian hackers (i.e. not owning up to his negligence in basic standards in system/account maintenance). So, no - I didn't hire the guy and can't speak about his on-the-job performance. Draw your own conclusions about this guy's professionalism and focus on customer service. If this guy is unable to acknowledge his own human error, negligence, etc. and use a bit of humility in conflict resolution in my situation, what happens if something goes wrong on the job?

The Move went well They called letting me know when they left their facility, they arrived on time, and worked efficiently There were a few struggles as we had some heavy, and/or awkward items that required going upstairs. They definately earned their pay on this one. We had a 2 man crew, and it might have been better to have a 3 man crew -- but it was a tough call. We were not moving an entire household of items (all the small stuff and boxes etc we did ourselves over the period of a month) but having a extra hand for some of the heavier or more awkard items might have been a help. Not their fault -- like I said, tough call.
