Very impressed with Alex. He was efficient and knowledgeable. The house had been vacant for 2 years and needed some electrical fixes. He did not try to sell me things I did not need. When putting in the grounded outlet he made a recommendation to move it and explained why and it was a great suggestion. While assessing the house's electrical system, he noticed the blades on the garbage disposal were frozen and with my approval had it fixed in seconds. We had had another Angie's List recommended company over to do a bid on the work, but Alex's thoughtful explanations were much more informative and helpful for a homeowner. I'll definitely use A & A for future work and recommend them to others.

Alex was prompt and professional. He kept the area clean and was efficient in fixing the light. He was in and out in 30 minutes. If I had a last minute job, I would call Alex, he was the only one that could perform same day service.

My attic fan was not working. he crawled up there, reconnected it, tested it and made sure it was working, checked an outside outlet outlet for me and repaired it. He did a good job and his rates were reasonable. I would definitely recommend him and use him again.

Alexander made a repair last week, provided some information and the related pricing for further work that needed to be approved by the condominium HOA Board, then returned to do the work and billed me the next day. He's very responsive, communicative, thorough and punctual. I have had him troubleshoot issues and make appropriate repairs at three of the condo properties on/near Queen Anne in Seattle that I work with and have been extremely pleased with his abilities and professionalism. A&A is now my go-to electrical contractor!

A&A is great! Alex showed up at the beginning of the job to make sure the electricians were on track with what we needed. The three different jobs were completed in a timely fashion and they did excellent work and were very personable and professional. We were very pleased and would definitely use them again!

They responded to my questions in a timely manner, I appreciated that. He gave me an itemized bid that was very good. I was able to compare the bids, and by doing this I was able to save several hundred dollars by going with him. I was also thinking about updating the knobbing and tube electric work, so I decided to pass on this, as he was honest that he couldnt meet or beat the bid.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was fine. They were good. They were very efficient. They were clear and everything was as expected. I did spend additional.

Alex is now our go-to guy for any electrical work. This was the second time we had him come out, and I've also scheduled him for a third job. My wife said the kitchen outlet sparked, made a crackling noise and had a small flame when she plugged in the hot-water kettle. This is an old house and so we were a little concerned about that, to say the least. Alex replaced the corroded outlet and also another one in the laundry room. We really appreciate the fact that he's not afraid of small jobs. He's prompt, professional, and does good work.

I had two other bids besides the one Alex gave me. He was more thorough in his bid visit than the others, asking questions and looking at the inside electrical panel as well as the outside main panel. He was able to find me a whole empty circuit breaker for my electrical car hook up because he was so thorough; this saved me a lot of money. He was also able to trouble shoot an electrical problem I had and get things up and running in less than an hour. He did very neat work and what really impressed me about him is he cleaned up his mess; left my place swept and the trash picked up. I liked also the fact that he had the business sense to leave me with a magnetic business card that I could put on the side of my refrigerator so I can conveniently get a hold of him. We initially used A&A Electric under an Angie's List big deal and were very pleased with the services they provided. When they were working at our house under the big deal, they replaced 4 light fixtures and then we asked their advice on some other projects we were contemplating. These items are the result of those discussions. The installation of a multiple-plug outlet was an amazingly simple fix that we had not considered (we thought we'd have to add and wire several new outlets). We had a very old-style bathroom fan with heat lights and A&A suggested replacing it with an updated version of the same type or going with a newer style and verified that the newer model would fit by climbing into our tight attic access. We went with the newer model, which not only required work in the attic, but also required cutting into our bathroom ceiling. No mess, no fuss. At the same time, A&A replaced a very loud and very annoying transformer that has buzzed off and on for over 20 years. All in all, we are very pleased.

No response after two days. Doesn't seem to bode well. Moving down the list to another electrician.

Alex arrived in time and diagnosed the problem without delay. He repaired the broken connections and replaced outlet receptacles. He was friendly and soft spoken and taught me about what he was doing as he worked. He worked quickly and carefully and I'm convinced finished the work before others might have. In the future, when the need arises, I will call him before considering anyone else. He was a pleasure and resolved the problem. Great work.

Alex is a true professional. He arrives on time, communicates clearly, works quickly, and charges very reasonable rates. I've hired him for a couple of "rehab" jobs on a 1970s condo. On the first trip, he replaced all the outlets and switches in our unit, and installed a number of new ceiling fixtures. On the second trip, he replaced all of the circuit breakers. The first one cost about $1,000, and the second one cost about $330, both of which are exceptionally reasonable in my book. I've been very satisfied with the quality, speed, and price of his work on both occasions. I'm also very impressed by the extent of his technical knowledge and his willingness to discuss the details of what he's doing with me. I know that I can trust him to tell me what needs to be fixed and what isn't worth doing. I would hire him again in an instant.

Very professional and competent

Alex was able to get out and do the work very quickly--within a few days. He arrived with his helper on time. He was focused and efficient. The lights work. I'm happy!

Alex who is the owner is a good electrician. When you call he gets right back to you, arrives on time, gets right to work and quietly takes care of problem. He is a nice guy and very diligent. I have used him twice and both times he was great. He did work on my home and my rental property.

Alex was great to work with. He called me back the next day and I sent him photos and took measurements. He said our new floor heater should last for 20 years! Yay!! Would call him again if needed.

Explained that the reason for the dimmer burning out is because the light bulb we had was a dimmable version, which was the reason for the failed dimmer. Very efficient. Finished in about 1/2 hour. Charged for the full hour ($150) plus parts. Very nice and professional. We can't commit that we'd use the company again only due to price.

Alex arrived right on time and was very professional. He appeared to have a good understanding of the issues with our house and work required. We surveyed the house and all the locations which would need updating. Alex unscrewed a number of outlets and light switches to get an idea of the specific issues and required work. He was very helpful in telling us what would be required to fix the old wiring. Alex indicated that we still had a lot of old Knob and Tube wiring that would be costly to update. Unfortunately, he would not give us a cost estimate as he said he could only do that if we purchased a full house inspection from him at $199. Regardless, I was able to get a rough estimate of the work and time even though he wouldn't commit to it unless we did the full house inspection. He said it would take about 2 weeks to do the work at around $6000. I thanked him and said I would be in touch. As I typically do, I contacted several other elec companies (all top-rated here on Angie's List). The next guy who came by took a close look at the issues as well. I had told him that the prior guy (Alex) indicated that we had a lot of knob and tube. This other electrician indicated that was NOT the case and that we just had old ungrounded romex wiring. In fact, he opened up the service panel to prove that no knob and tube existed. In addition, this guy gave me a firm estimate and said that the full-house inspection was something Alex was trying to sell but was not needed to give an solid estimate. I know Alex has a lot of great reviews here and I'm sure he does quality work. But folks should really get multiple opinions and cost estimates. The electrician I ended up going with (who did a great job) came in at less than half the cost of Alex's rough estimate. In addition, it took them only 2 days compared to the 2 weeks Alex said.

He was very good. His price was good and seemed to be very thourough and consciencous. He was more than fair with the pricing for the amount of work that he put into it. He was nice to have around for the project.
