Mr. Sabin and an assistant performed our work. They arrived at scheduled time. The job was to remove 4 existing ceiling light fixtures and replace with 4 new fixtures, which we provided. No problems were encountered in replacing 3 of the 4 fixtures. However, when they removed the dining room fixture, they found the transformer was hanging too low and the weight of the new fixture would pull it down through the ceiling (my interpretation of the problem, which I believe was compounded by the fact that the hole in the ceiling was cut too large when the original fixture was installed by a different contractor over 20 years ago). Anyway, A&A came up with a fix (using a ceiling fan box) that ensures our fixture is firmly and safely installed. After completing the work, all debris was swept and cleaned up. Mr. Sabin stayed afterwards to provide advice (solutions!) and quotes on several other small electrical projects we are planning.

Alex was timely, fast, and good at his work. We have had the light and outlet for over a year now and have had no problems. I would recommend him!

I cannot recommend Alex with AA Electric more to hire for electrical services. We had received one other quote for the job and although Alex's price was higher than the other quote, we knew we would get prompt responses and quality work from him. His estimate was itemized, so we knew exactly what we were paying and when we added items to our list of wants, he was diligent to document them so we both knew what work was to be completed. The project took about three weeks. It was originally estimated to last two but as he worked, we thought of new things for him to do (like move our clothes dryer and update all switches to white from beige), which extended the time of the job. Alex never hesitated to call to clarify where we wanted updated switches or if he had to drill an unanticipated hole to be sure we were comfortable with it first. His work was clean, each day you wouldn't even know someone was in your house drilling and running wires. Although power was shut off in different rooms as he worked, he always left at night with the kitchen running, which was appreciated. When we found that one of our porch light switches wasn't turning on and off properly, he quickly troubleshot his work. He completed this job with one to two assistances, as well. Alex also had great suggestions on how to implement changes with the least number of holes drilled and conduit used. Alex was also very accommodating in arranging to be present while inspectors came through to obtain permits. He took care of everything so that we would not have to take time off of work. Alex was collaborative, honest, prompt and professional--we will definitely call him for any future needs.

Alex showed up on time, kept me informed about progress on the job, and finished it almost a day early. He pointed out a safety hazard he'd noticed which had nothing to do with the job and told me how to fix it. I'm very pleased.

this was an excellent experience. The two men who arrived were prompt, professional, pleasant, and mindfull of what we needed. They made good suggestions for placement of the outdoor outlet.

I called A&A electric and left a message, and Alex called me back the same day. We scheduled for him to come by the house within a 2-hour window, the next week. He arrived at the beginning of that window, and we showed him the work that needed to be done. He examined the location and condition of the panel, service wires, etc. He wrote us up an estimate on the spot. Alex's estimate was 50% more expensive than two other estimates, even with the Angie's List coupon. We decided to go with the (much) less expensive option; we'll see how it goes.

we found this company on angies's list when we had some outlets that were not working and felt warm to the touch. he came out that day and gave an estimate. work was scheduled for later in the week. very prompt and professional.

I had a friend at work who needed some electrical work done at his house. We were talking about Angie's List and he replied that he showed interest in Angie's List, but was cautious about paying the monthly fees. I offered to look at eletricians on Angie's List with him and he agreed. He was able to find a eletrician within his neighborhood with positive ratings and comments. One comment was that another member had contacted this company and had someone out to their residence within 30 minutes of the phone call. My friend went home after work and contacted Alex by telephone and he inquired into what the problem was. Alex was at his residence within 20 minutes of hanging up the phone. Once on site, Alex determined what the problem was and made the repairs within 45 minutes. Given the amount of repairs, my friend felt that the cost for the services performed was very fair. Alex then spent additional time (at no cost) making recommendations on future repair and upgrades at my friend's request. As a result, my friend is now a believer and member of Angie's List! Thank you Angie for the service that you provide!

Alex was timely, diligent, to the point, very professional, and easy to work with. He also alerted us that the type of breaker box (Zinsco) in our house had caused lots of problems over the years for houses built in the 60's and 70's, and gave us a bid for replacement of the breaker box.

The service that Alex and his partner provided was excellent. He was punctual, thorough, expert and highly professional. They were fabulous. I have a very complicated house with 65 art lighting fixtures, and some of the transformers had melted down and caused a fire in my kitchen. They were able to fix it and then upgrade the panel to provide the very latest fire protection and surge protection breakers. They show up on time. They are very conscientious. They clean up after themselves. If they run into challenges, they figure out a way to get around it. They do excellent service. They are $15 an hour cheaper than most other electricians. They are only $75 an hour instead of $90. They will work with you to get whatever you want done.

Came on date arranged and performed work with one assistant. Alex had to finish work late in day because assistant had to leave.

Alex was very professional and pleasant to deal w/. He was on time for both the estimate and work. When a few unexpected minor problems came up (a faulty switch and a problem w/the kitchen ceiling fixture I purchased) he quickly and at no charge to me remedied them. They were very prompt. They fixed it very quickly and I still had about an hour of time left on the job so they checked all the outlets in my house and lights. Were very friendly and wanted to perform the service, but I think I didn't have enough work for them to do.

Alex came the same day at the time he said he would. When he came, embarrassingly for us, the dishwasher was working again and we couldn't replicate the problem. Alex gave us advice about what could have caused the problem and what to do if it recurs. He also inspected the breaker box for any potential problems. He didn't charge us anything even though it had taken some of his time. Incidentally, we previously hired Alex in 2008 and he did a substantial job for us then. I can't remember if I put a review on Angie's List on that occasion, but the work was excellent on all counts.

Alex arrived on time and performed miscellaneous work in a prompt and professional manner. The initial work was arranged through a coupon deal but I was impressed enough that I called him back for some more major work (new service panel, rewiring, fixture installation) and have continued to use/recommend him since.
