The overall experience was stress-free. My furnace was intermittently going off for long periods, and so I searched Angie's list for a repair company and chose Mountain Valley. It was easy to make a convenient appointment--the woman answering the phone even said to check to see if the filter needed replacing, as that could possibly cause the furnace to go off and I would save myself a service call. Repairman arrived on the dot, was careful to isolate the real problem in order to avoid unnecessary expense, and picked up/replaced the broken part the same day. Costs were explained in advance of the repair. Very professional, very courteous. Definitely one of the best repair experiences I have ever had. Highly recommended.

I was especially impressed that they said they would be here at 8 am, and they were! On the dot.

The owner, Eric Sorenson, performed the service and was on-time. He was very thorough, cleaned all the parts, and installed a new furnace filter. We asked him to check the heat exchanger, since this furnace model has issues with the exchangers cracking and warping, and found no issues. He was very professional, friendly, and did a great job. We will definitely call them to perform the maintenance again next year.

They were a great company to work with. They did more than what they needed to do. They were not the cheapest but the quality was great and it came with a good warrenty. I worked with the owner the entire time of this project. They just did a really nice job!

They were out of town when I called and emailed, so they didn't get back to me for a couple of weeks. They were pleasant and apologized when returning my call. They came out within a week or so and completed the work on time as promised. Didn't try to talk us into any additional work or replacing any of our equipment. We'll definitely use them again.

They did a good job, they were really good. They did the job quickly and thoroughly. I had no problems with them. I had a couple things that I needed them to come back on and they came right away.

Excellent service by friendly staff. I was very impressed by the timeliness of both the estimate and the repair. The estimate was scheduled for 8 am on a Thursday and the estimator was in the driveway at 7:55 am and walked up and rang the bell at 8 am. The repair was scheduled for the next day and the same timeliness occurred with the work crew. Compared with many contractors who only give you a 3 or 4 hour window of when they might appear, this company was a breath of fresh air for a busy customer. The work done was top drawer and the repair resulted in both more room in my shop and a better and more professional overall duct work installation compared to the previous installation. I intend to hire these folks again when I need similar services.

Mountain Valley Heating's proposal was right in the middle, neither highest nor lowest. They didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. Very professional, arrived promptly, had all the tools they needed, explained everything as they worked, didn't mind me hovering over them.

From start to finish this was an excellent experience. This was a hard job. I own a split level older home. They had to come in and retro fit the entire home with duct work some in the attic and some in the crawl space. They had to cut two concrete holes in order to plumb all the duct work. If I have a problem or question they are there to answer or correct it. The professionalism of the owner is beyond approach.

It was a real pleasure dealing with Erik as well as his crew member that worked on the furnace. I had quotes from 5-6 contractors before I talked to Erik. Erik was neither the cheapest nor the most expensive but he was very friendly, helpful & honest. He didn't try to sell me any of the "other" expensive options, in fact gave me a more unbiased opinion. There was no pressure, & I got a very well written, firm quote. I did not have to ask him for any references since he gave me a list on his own. I evaluated his bid along with the others and then decided to go with him. They arrived on time. Erik was there but he left later on. The guy (sorry I forgot his name) who actually replaced the furnace was awesome. He did the job right, left no mess, and was very friendly & patient answering all my questions. I have had the furnace running for two weeks now and have had no problems with it. I had a question and Erik called me back promptly. I would definitely recommend them.

When I called for the estimate, Ann Williams was very helpful over the phone. I was impressed that Erik Sorensen called to let me know he would be a few minutes late for the estimate appointment; when he arrived he was polite, informative and helpful. The work crew showed up on time the day of the job, did the work quickly (all in less than 4 hours), showed me the cracks in the old heat exchanger, cleaned every thing up after the job, and provided a lesson on how to use the new thermostat. They even sent me a "thank you for your business" card after the work was done. The furnace is working great. I was very impressed and would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

He cleaned up everything. Was very knowledgeable and courteous. Very thorough and was always available to follow up and answer questions. They sent me a thank you note with a $50 check for referring them to a friend. When he gave me the estimate he explained all of the prices and made recommendations. In the end we saved some money. I thought he was really good.

I found him very helpful. He was so nice. I had just moved to the area and I didn t have a phone book. He went back to his place and got me one, which I thought was really nice. I would rate them as great, really very good. I was not acquainted with the programmable thermostat and he showed me how do that too.

They did a great job. Their pricing was really good. We got a couple of quotes and theirs was near the lowest. They gave us an updated thermostat. Everything turned out really, really good. They really knew their stuff. We felt confident and comfortable. Once they did the work, we knew we made the right decision. They're also local and we like that.

THEY ARRIVED AT THE SCHEDULED TIME AND WE HAVE FOUND THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. HE PERFORMED THE SERVICE IN A VERY THOROUGH AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER AND WAS VERY HONEST REGARDING WHAT REPAIRS WERE OR WERE NOT NECESSARY.

WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL COMPANY. FROM THE START SETTING UP MY APPOINTMENT WITH ANNE WILLIAMS TO ERIK SORENSEN ARRIVING PROMPTLY, I AM VERY, VERY IMPRESSED WITH HOW THIS COMPANY REPRESENTED ITSELF. IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR AN ETHICAL AND WELL-RUN COMPANY, MOUNTAIN VALLEY HEATING IN COVINGTON, WASHINGTON IS THE ONE. A GOOD COMPANY OF THIS CALIBER IS HARD TO FIND IN THIS DAY AND AGE. THE BIGGEST COMPLIMENT I CAN GIVE IS I WILL ONLY CALL THEM FROM NOW ON IF I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY HEATING. I WISH I HAD KNOWN ABOUT THEM BEFORE I RECENTLY PURCHASED A GAS FURNACE.

THE WORK WAS DONE VERY WELL. WE WERE PLEASED WITH THE INSTALLATION AND WITH THE CREATIVE APPROACH TAKEN TO THIS RATHER FUNKY PLACE WE WERE RENOVATING. OUR INSTALLER WAS KNOWLEDGEABLE AND TIMELY. THE DISPATCH/RECEPTION PERSON WAS EQUALLY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND RESPONSIVE, AS WELL AS PLEASANT TO DEAL WITH.

THIS SERVICE WAS EXCEPTIONAL!! THE OWNER CAME AND INSTALLED EVERYTHING, HE SUGGESTED PUTTING THE HEATER IN THE CRAWL SPACE TO GIVE MORE ROOM IN GARAGE, HE CLEANED EVERYTHING UP AND CALLED TO CHECK ON HOW THINGS WERE WORKING. WE ARE USING HIM IN OUR NEW HOME FOR A/C.

WE HAD A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE, THEY WERE VERY PROMPT IN COMING TO OUR HOME AND ESPECIALLY IN BEING ABLE TO INSTALL A UNIT THE VERY NEXT DAY AFTER GIVING US THE ESTIMATE. IT WAS VERY HOT LAST SUMMER AND WE COULDN'T TAKE THE HEAT ANY LONGER, SO THEY CAME TO THE RESCUE.
