I had 3 Angie's List contractors come out for estimates. Mountain Valley was the last to come out, but the first and fastest to give us a firm estimate. We chose them because of Erik's (owner) "can do" attitude, his experience with redesigning systems that were already in place, and their price was exceptionally more affordable. We couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome. Our basement ductwork and furnace set-up was really haphazard and had some real design issues. We wanted to eventually finish off the basement and Erik offered some creative ideas that worked out very well. His workmen were very skilled, amenable, and did an excellent job. They answered any questions I had and gave me some great advice on how to get the most from our system. They were here for 2 days. Both days Erik was out to check on the work and talk with me. It was evident to me through these conversations that this was an ethical company that took good care of both their employees and customers. We will have them out for our yearly maintenance and any other needed heater work from now on. I would highly recommend this company to anyone that needed any kind of heating and air conditioning service.

I called for an estimate and they were out at my house within 3 hours. They wrote a quote and came back to do the full job the following day. I was quite pleased with how quickly they responded. The driver did call ahead of time and let me know he was running a late. He showed up at his newly scheduled time. The work was done faster than quoted. I did have a problem with a gas smell in the house after the person left. The next morning I tried contacting the business and they did not have a calling service or an emergency contact. I went back to Angies List to find another provider to come out on a Saturday and look at the repairs. I remembered that the tech called the day before to tell me he was running late. I called him directly and he was at my home within the hour and fixed the small problem right away. Overall I was pleased with the responsive service and good price

Jim arrived on time, assessed the problem and made the fix. He took his shoes off before entering the house (which really impressed my wife). He took a picture of the flue connection after the fix and gave me a copy of the picture so that I could see what he had done. This made it unnecessary for me to go into the attic again, which I appreciated. I thought the charge for the repair was reasonable.

Technician arrived exactly on time and was very professional and knowledgeable. He did a full review of my heating system and adjusted gas pressure setting to prevent overheating and avoid future damage to heat exchanger. Upon my request, he was able to order replacement (wall) registers for my 48 year old home. I had been unable to find correct sizes at local home improvement and hardware stores. The original wall registers had become unsightly due to being painted repeatedly over the years.

Our experience has been very good. We like working with the company. They are very courteous, trustworthy and stand behind their work.

MV was friendly and professional from start to finish. They showed up on time for the quote. They answered our questions, and pointed out some items that could be addressed during installation to improve efficiency ( which was done at no additional cost). They arrived on time on the day of installation and performed the installation neatly and professionally.

between Erik amd Anne co-owers at Mountain Valley i could not be more pleased. Betweem those two, i was given the royal treatment from the initial visit from Erik to the help from Anne in the office. I was very-very cold with only wall base heaters which caused me to wear 3 to 4 layers of clothing during the day in this fix it home that i purchased. i saw this unit advertised and went directly to angies list to find the right company for this. i interviewed 3 copanies--choosing Mountain Valley because of Erik ability to completely explain the total process. And -- Seattle Light was giving a $1500.00 rebate on this purchasing the Mitsubishi unit. Erik looked over my home and chose this unit which will no only warm the first floor but is directly in line with my staircase for the upstairs. To make a long story short I am now nicre and warm--no more layers--no more stocking caps at nite. Anne even sent me a thank you card and said they would be here to help if needed. I am 77 yrs young and am so pleased that i was taken care of with so much honesty on this purchase.

Mountain Valley has been a pleasure to work with. We had them do a routine furnace maintenance call on a furnace they'd installed over a year prior. Knowledgeable, professional, reliable.

I had lined up four company's to come out for estimates. These were all recommendations from PSE off their website. I explained what I needed (small house - tight budget) and they proceeded to write $3000 + estimates. I was getting very frustrated and a friend told me about Angies List. I signed up and pick the closes and highest rated company, Mountain Valley Heating & Air INC. Eric came out for the appraisal, on time and very professional. The appraisal was very reasonable and we set up a date for install. On the day of the install Jim shows up on time and has all the stuff to do the work. He was very professional and knew what he was doing. It was amazing to watch. About 6 hours later the job was done. The area was clean and all the old stuff removed. the furnace was up and running. I am very pleased with the results ... I will recommend Angies List and Mountain Valley Heating to friends and neighbors ...

From the instant Mountain Valley came to my home for an initial review of the project and to provide a quote, I was extremely impressed with Eric the owner. He was very knowledgable, honest, good nature and very pleasant to interact with. No question and or comment I had could stump or iritate Eric. he was very open, explaining the different models of the furnace brand offered, options, functions etc. Having done my own research on his furnace brand offered (highly rated - American Standard) prior to his arrival, efficiency, cost, etc. Eric's responses matched my research. His prices offered were extremely competitive as his operating overhead is very low and hence those savings passed on in the form of great prices. In fact, during that initial meeting with Eric (whom his company was found on Angies List and the first called due to myriad of positive reviews, I decided right there and then to look no further for other suppliers or prices - Eric and his demenor and personality sold the deal while sitting at the kitchen table. Within a week of shaking hands on the deal the installation occurred which was an experience just as pleasant as the quoting experience. Chris the main installer whom was as personable as Eric showed up promptly at the designated start time. Initial time was taken to thoroughly protect the floors and carpets and then the demolition of the old furnace and water heater began which was quick and thorough. The installation was more time consuming which is to be expected when replacing a 44 year furnace and having to convert from electricity for the water heater to gas. When installation was complete - the utility area was totally cleaned up. Chris then went through the do's and don't's for both systems. Set up the new digital thermostate, checked air flow, etc. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience from start to finish.

They were very thorough and accommodating. They did everything that I asked them to do. It was a good experience to work with them.

I had a great experience with Mountain Valley. I have been in need of getting rid of a gas line that extended from my furnace to the outside patio. The gas line used to be used for a hot tub which no longer exists. I contacted three furnace companies to inquire about this job. One company was going to charge me $99.00 just to come out and give me a bid to remove the gas line. One company wouldn't do the job. And, then, the last company that I contacted, Mountain Valley, did exactly what I was hoping for. They asked me about the job that was needed, and they gave me a fair price on the phone. From that, I was already very happy with this company. Even more impressive though, is that they came out and did the job on the same day, just 5 hours later. They had already had a worker in the area that would be finishing up his current assignment, and they sent him over to my place when he was finished. The worker came to my house and started on the job. He shut the gas off and started removing the gas line, section by section, until he reached the furnace where he cut the line and capped it off. Then, he started the pilot lights that were not already started after turning the gas back on. From initial contact to finish, this company was great to work with and was reasonable priced. I will use their services again in the future.

It went very well, other than the service man could not make the date on time as he was held up at another jobsite. We made arrangements to meet the following day and he was on time. He completed the work and was knowledgeable, friendly and efficient.

The owner and installer were very friendly. They explained everything very well. Prompt and on time. They finished job very fast. One issue with some rewiring, but came out and fixed it right away.

We would absolutely recommend them. We would rate them highly and would use them again in the future.

100% would recommend these guys. Furnace was intermitantly failing throughout the summer. We had another company come out and look who ended up misdiagnosing the root problem. Called mountain valley and they had someone out that day. Within 10 min the tech accurately diagnosed the problem as a faulty gas valve and informed me of my options. He did not have the part I needed in his truck so drove to meet his boss to get it, then drove back to make the repair that evening! Rest of furnace function was checked to ensure there were not other symptoms of failure which would suggest i needed a new furnace in near future. Once everything checked out the New parts were installed within an hour. Best part, price was completely fair at $500. Tech was professional and knowlegable, cant thank these guys enough, will definitely use them when my furnace does go out. 5 and 2 year olds can now remove "heater" from their Christmas list.

I have used this company in the past to service the heat pump system on my old home and have been very happy with their team of service professionals. On this project I had them come out and give me a quote to replace my gas furnace with a heat pump system on the house I just moved into. Their quote was the best price and the owner Eric was the one that gave me the estimate. I felt more comfortable with this company because people that install these systems are the ones that give you the estimate not just some sales person who really may not know what they are doing. When I was ready to hire them to install the new system they were able to fit me in the next day and had the system all in and functioning quickly. They are very professional and know what they are doing. I will always use this company for all my heating and air conditioning needs.

They showed up on time, gave detailed description of the work to be performed, and were very professional. All of the work space was clean at the end. I would definitely consider them for future HVAC needs.

I wanted information about the cost and effectiveness of installing a ductless heat pump as the primary heating in my house. I interviewed 4 contractors and Mountain Valley was the best. They were informed, almost on time, very professional and excellent in their work. They even filled out the paperwork for the rebates that were available from Puget Sound Energy and the state of Washington. And then they reminded me about submitting these rebates in a timely manner. This was way above and beyond my expectations. The heat pump operates as they said it would. I now have a warm house. My electric bills have never been lower, even when I was keeping my house at 62 degrees. This was a great experience, and I will use Mountain Valley Heating again.
