Jack of All Trades

I worked with Scott Lusher. He was very professional and thorough in his workmanship. I truly enjoyed working with him.

I called for a quote and it took 4 days to receive a call back. When I got the call he asked me if I had other bids & when I said yes I was told that he had plenty work so just use one of the other people I had talked to!!!

He went and get materials for me. They are easy to work with, very professional and they did a very nice job. They did a very professional job. The guy's name was Scott and he was very easy to get along with.

We worked with Jack's partner Scott and had a great experience. We needed someone to finish a Master Bedroom / Bathroom remodel that a family member had started for us. Scott was pleasant to work with and flexible with the constantly changing scope of which parts we needed him to do. He completed the project quickly and did a great job. We have more projects planned on our house and would definitely like to use him again for them.

All jobs( maybe 10 so far and counting ) have gone just fine.

Jack was awesome! We were trying to finish our kitchen before our baby arrived and I was totally exhausted with DIY. Jack and his helper came and magically finished off our kitchen! They even put a base stain on our base moldings on their way out. I will definitely be calling again this spring!

came when called to look for leak. Repaired the leak at that time. Returned after the Christmas holidays and replaced sheetrock that was damaged studs damaged by water checked carpeting and padding, mud all seams sprayed mildew and mold resistant material. Excellent job

There was nothing to do, they did not call or show up for the walk through. On the phone he was busy at another project and I can understand he is working but when the owner says

He came to my home and didn't find a leak. He didn't charge me for the trip, which was great!

We were very satisfied, it was excellent service. He was booked up through next month, but accommodated us anyway. He was punctual and efficient. I will use him again.

I found Jack on Angies list years ago and have been using him ever since for work that needs to be done at my home. This time around he did work in my crawl space - repaired/replaced duct work, and he rebuilt a porch step for me, put up some drywall in my bathroom, screwed down vent covers, and a variety of other projects. He's always great about tackling my list, regardless of what I put on it. I highly recommend Jack, he professional, personable and his attention to detail is much appreciated!

Strongly do not recommend this person. I have contacted this provider twice for a full day's handyman work. Each time (a month apart) he sent me an email with the exact same wording - he is busy for the next eight to ten weeks, but I should contact him if I have any questions. He should not advertise on Angie's List if too busy or have specific requirements for the "handyman" services provided.

It went well. Very nice man, and easy to work with. The jobs he did were completed, and a great job. :)

I have called several handymen in the area and did not receive even a callback. I appreciated have a person answer the phone and give me realistic time that he would be available to come out and work for me. He even suggested that I try to call around to some more people since I was hoping to get the work done sooner than he was available and to call him back if I wasn't successful. I realize that good handymen are quite busy and I appreciated that he took the time to answer the phone and give me reasonable feedback.

I contacted Jack for help with my siding. Jack responded very quickly with a polite and professional note that he was booked up, but that he would be happy to help me when he had some time. I was on a tight, 2-week timeline, so it didn't work out, but Jack gave me his phone number and invited me to call if I had any questions. Hopefully this review will help offset the F grade a member gave Jack on July 21st. Luckily, such reviews reflect poorly on the member, more so than the provider, highlighting the member's rude, unprofessional, and "amateurish" behavior.

I've employed Jack several times during the past four years for all kinds of things, from installing doors, painting, electrical and plumbing work to general yard clean up and assembling things I've ordered on line. He always comes through, does a great job, leaves things cleaner than when he arrived and is an absolute pleasure to work with. On this occasion I had ordered kits for feral cat houses, since I seem to have acquired a few regular visitors. Jack agreed to spend part of a Sunday helping me with this chore and found extra time to clean up an overgrown slope in the back garden. He arrived on time and before I knew it had those cat houses all put together, in place where I wanted them to be, straw inside, all taken care of. And the packaging cleaned up and in the truck to take to the dump. Then he tackled the slope, cutting back nasty blackberry vines and cutting back the hop vine from the other plants so it wouldn't choke them, but leaving it to grow up the chain link fence per the original landscaper's "vision." (Don't ever plant hop vines if you don't want them to take over everything!) It was a warm day and he worked extra hard. I convinced him to sit in the shade, drink an iced tea and have a snack before he had to move on to his next job for that Sunday, taking all the brush and packaging with him, leaving my yard without a trace of the work that had been done that morning. The man works extremely hard, juggling many customers, phone calls, and business tasks, mostly by himself. He is honest, conscientious, and has a huge heart. As a senior with limited disabilities, I truly appreciate all his caring ways. He has more work than he can handle and I feel blessed that he's been able to help me when I've needed him. In the grand scheme of things, those are the things the truly count.

Tried to call for a quote. Jack fails to identify himself when answering the phone then tells me not to bother because he's too busy. Rude, unprofessional and amateurish. Why would I want to hire this guy?

Jack's work was prompt, on schedule, and high quality. Jack stuck to his pricing on his estimate, and gave credit for unused supplies that he returned to the hardware store. Pricing was sensible as to labor, and I feel that he obtained good prices on supplies. He was a gentleman in all respects. I recommend him without reservation, and I expect to hire him again.

Not only is Jack a really nice person, but he is truly a "Jack of All Trades". He is punctual, meticulous, fast, knowledgeable, diligent, and very tidy. When he first came to my house to discuss my projects, he took notes, asked appropriate questions, and offered cost-savings suggestions. The problem I had in the laundry room was to repair and correct the shoddy work that had been done by someone else I had hired last year to renovate that room. Had I found Jack first, I would have an A+ laundry room now. But, Jack nonetheless managed to upgrade that room from a D- to at least a B+/A- in spite of my budget constraints. Jack works very methodically and has to be reminded to take a lunch break because he gets so involved in what he's doing that he doesn't want to stop. I felt as though he treated my property with the same respect and consideration as he would treat his own. His caulking lines are barely visible and you can't even see his brush strokes. Also, he knows how to make a clean line where the wall paint meets the ceiling paint. And, there are no blotches or overlaps at any of the joints between the walls and trim either. My kitchen looks great too! He took great care to cover all surfaces and furniture and to remove and reinstall the window dressing. Each day, he cleaned up after himself and put everything in its place. If it wasn't for the fresh paint, I wouldn't have known he had been in my home. In summary, I am very, very happy with the outcome of these two projects and look forward to having Jack tackle other projects for me in the future.

He was so good. He was extraordinary. He is very busy because he is so reasonable and he does an excellent job. He was just terrific. He pays attention to detail. He charges by the hour. He was a thorough professional. This guy, he's got skills.

The job was done to perfection. My house was built in the 50's and the close he built was in a room that used to be the garage. There is not one square corner or level floor in that room. He also had to build around plumbing and out from footings. The end result was unbelievable, this closet and pantry are square and look fabulous. The bi folds are hung straighter than I have ever seen bi fold. Jack spent time on all the little details and it shows. He worked with me and had to come back and forth as other things needed to be done before he could finish. He was gracious and always on time. I will definitely use his services again.

Bathroom remodeling - We got 3 estimates before starting work. Jack had the best estimate and the quality and timeliness of his work was outstanding. We are extremely pleased with the bathroom remodeling. The $2100 was for the bathroom remodeling. Install deck handrails. Jack did the design, materials and labor. Again the work was outstanding. Addition to deck: The design and labor was all Jack's work. I should have written a review for this work last year. The work was outstanding I also got 3 estimates and Jack had the lowest estimate. We feel we have the nicest deck in our neighborhood. We strongly recommend that you consider Jack of Trades for any home project.

Best service I have had in a long time. Company was a joy to work with.
