In fact they are going to come out and do some more work for me in December. Their price is comparable to everyone else. They call if they cannot make it.

They are good. The best thing is they are consistent. I have been using them for years. I am on a regular schedule with them. The visit per spaying is approximately a hundred dollars and the pruning depends upon the task. So if they remove a tree, it is different if they trim up shrubs. They are reasonable compared to others.

We hired them for monthly service. They sprayed some insects in our trees. They were very professional and they have good communication skills.

They're always good. They're a little pricey. Sometimes you get what you paid for but they're expensive. I would use them again in the future.

They were excellent. Pricing and quality was excellent.

Davey Tree has provided us with services reliably for over 10 years -- tree removals, shrub and tree pruning every 2 - 3 years, and regular aerification and lawn treatments. Their crews are thoughtful and courteous, and do excellent work for a fair price. When we've had others bid on similar services, they weren't the cheapest but we are happy to pay what's fair for the level of service we expect and they deliver! The only hiccups have been with their front office people. Twice since we began our annual contract of services, they forgot to get us on their schedule for regular services. A quick call and reminder fixed that.

We were notified beforehand about a pre-set visit in the early spring to kill off an insect eating away at multiply Rhodies. They arrived on the day set, sprayed the plants, then left. All very professional. Rhodies are in great shape now! prior to this we had a serious problem with 2 Japanese magnolias, and called Davey Tree to look at the trees and give us advice, which was to pull bark away and feed them. We contracted for them to do this- which they did, and now the trees are healthy, and produced many blossoms in mid spring.

The estimator showed up on time, was extremely knowledgeable, and provided the estimate and related communications/documentation in a timely manner. When it came time for treatment, the application expert was on time, and efficient. He also noticed a moth infestation that the estimator had missed, and offered to treat it for free on the first application since he had the repellant mixed from a previous job. Overall, excellent service.

Davey was very professional, from end to end. Excellent and courteous appointment arrangements, on time for estimate (again very professional and informative), and the work was scheduled and performed, exactly as promised. I will continue to use Davey for future issues.

The crew and equipment showed up on time and were prepared for the job. After the lift truck and chipper were positioned in the street and the flagging crew was on station as required by city ROW permit, one crew member ascended in a bucket lift to cut the tops and sides of the hedge that were inaccessible by ladder and the other worked from the ground where it was feasible to do so safely. The worked steadily without a break from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM when job was done and all the debris chipped. They cleaned up the area afterwards. All in all a very professional job.

After much delay, my husband and I agreed to finally have a number of trees on the property removed due to hazards and extensive size for their location. We had used Davey Tree in the past and had been impressed. An itemized quote was provided and was subsequently modified when the work was expanded. The crew was professional and knocked on the door when they arrived (unlike another tree service which I observed a few weeks later). Since the work took more than one day, the crew did a great job cleaning up carefully at the end of the first day as well as the second (in contrast to the other tree service which used a blower to clear the path and blowing sawdust up onto the house, deck, and garage). Although some of the work was in awkward places, no damage was done to surrounding structures nor plantings (unlike the other tree service which somehow broke the seckel pear tree in half and didn't mention it at all). True, the price tag was a bit steep, but we figured it was well worth it to pay for the expertise and safety of Davey Tree Service to carefully remove the trees.

I was satisfied with the company's service, coming out three times in 2010 to treat a tree for an insect infestation. The person who came out to assess the tree was nice, as was the person who came to spray the tree. What I am unhappy about it is my difficulty getting the company to stop trying to come out to continue to spray. In May 2010, I agreed to having them come out three times over the May-August 2010 period to spray the tree. We never discussed having them come out in 2011, and I assumed that the insect problem was taken care of, but that if it continued in spring 2011, I would call them then. However, I started getting phone calls in spring 2011, with messages left on my home voicemail, saying that someone would be out the next day to spray my tree. By the time I get home in the evening, their office is closed. I have left messages repeatedly on their answering machine in the evening after I have gotten their messages on my voicemail, talked with one of their sprayers in person, and even sent them a written notice saying that I want to wait and see if there is any evidence of insects before I call to arrange a repeat spray and that I want them to come only if I call to request this, yet I continue to get messages on my voicemail saying someone will be out the next day. I find this very aggravating.

Everything looked great when it was finished and the tree which had been overgrown for years looked much healthier.

I had used other tree services and got an estimate from another company. Davey Tree returned my phone call right away and came within a couple of days for the estimate. Their price was reasonable and they showed up when they said they would. They cleaned up after themselves and I would probably call them again.

I have used them in the past and they are a very good company. I spent about $3000. They did some pruning. They are very knowledgeable and they do a fine job. They are really good about cleaning up after themselves. I will use this company in the future.

they were responsive punctual (though they had to delay to get the exact right weather conditions) and explained what the spray contained and the dangers of its use. These companies always want to get you on a "regular spray program" but they honored my desire to wait and see...only doing spray when absolutely necessary. there is trade off in harm to bees and water sources vs dead landscape so one should only what is needed to get the plants /trees strong enough to defend themselves

Davey's specialist came on time in Jan. Went through my yard. Suggested treatment plans. Not pushy but very knowledgeable. I ordered treatment for my shrubs. Plants are doing great this year, with a lot of flowers blooming. Last year wasn't good.

I've used Davey for many, many years. They are the only tree service that I'll use. While Davey is a bit more expensive than some others, I have never regretted using Davey. They are on time, professional, do a great job shaping my trees, and leave the place spotless when done. Bravo!

The person came in and manually cleaned out the place as the truck could not enter the backyard. He was very diligent and did an amazing job. Their price was a little high but seems to be worth it.

For the job the did the price was fine. I have a number of trees and thought it was fine. The estimate given on tree pruning and trimming was a little high. The experience was positive. I did not talk to anyone in person, only on the phone but they were prompt. They responded in a few days. I was surprised they responded so promptly. The conduct their business though I cannot tell if they did a good job or not. I guess we will see next Spring.

The estimator arrived right on time. We discussed the project. He was concerned by the size of the tree and the tight space within which they had to work. His manager came out to look at the job as well. They estimated that it would take a week to remove the tree (it took the selected contractor one day). Unfortunately, they were just way off the mark on this project.

They come when they say they are going to come. They do a good clean up job and they do the work to my specifications. They do what I ask them to and also they are very friendly which counts for a lot with me.
