We used Davey Tree Experts to trim a wild corkscrew willow tree, trim a few other large bushes and remove a bush. The whole process was very pleasant. The arborist who came to give us an initial estimate was friendly and willing to spend as much time as we needed to answer our questions. The crew that did the work (Jacob, Mike, and Elle) were also terrific. They showed up on time, were very friendly, answered all our questions, and did a terrific job with the work and the cleanup. We couldn't be happier, and recommend them to anyone else needed these kinds of services.

Great! Arborist visited first, examined our trees/bushes, drew up list of treatments. His crew then came and followed plan exactly. Our trees are now slightly thinned, well balanced, yet still having their natural shape. Our big birch in front was in dire shape and now looks so much better, and may survive!

I was happy with the scheduling, the guy that came out, and the removal. I had one somewhat one small complaint. Part of the work they said they were going to do was to poison the stump to prevent it from coming back, but when they arrived they were out of the roundup or something like that. The tree has grown back, but it is a very manageable state now, so that is my only complaint.

We are not really very satisfied. They have work for us for a number of years, but this year they did a lousy job spraying our fruit trees. Everything was infested with worms. It has usually been good, but very disappointing this year so I would tell a friend to use them at their own risk. The workers have been fine. We keep bird feeder up in the winter time and they would always keep the bird feeders down and put them were they weren't going to get sprayed even thought they were using an organic type spray. we certainly didn't want our bird feeders sprayed.

Right now I have a job pending because they are so backed up in the fall. They have taken care of my trees for years and they are fabulous, but they are a little pricey. They send out an arborist, it is always the same guy and he is very nice. I referred my daughter to them also. She has used them three times already. I have been using them since I bought this house. Pruning is expensive and these are big trees so I only use them once a year. They are artists and don't just use an electric saw. Sometime they bill it as sculpting the tree. They do beautiful work. I would never call anyone else; I would call them first. They are actually really, really good.

They were good. We are happy with them. The Cost was a little high. We would use them again.

We were quite happy with their services. Their pricing was good, it was divided up into small jobs that we could choose which we could afford to have and which we couldn't afford to have at the time so that we could do it on a graduated basis. The quality was very good. The fellow that they sent out really knew his stuff about our trees. They came out the day after we called them. They were right on time. They were very professional and they hauled everything away right away. They didn't wait till they could finish the job, they didn't leave it overnight, they hauled it away as soon as they trimmed. So we were very happy about that.

We asked them to leave a snag. It's like 12 feet of the trunk and you leave it so it becomes a habitat for squirrels and birds and stuff. They did a really good job. The way they had to fall the tree, it was complicated. They were very good.

It turned out very well. I would recommend.

Estimate was 100% accurate. They were prompt, courteous, professional. They even were able to perform the service sooner than estimated. They cleaned up the yard better than they found it.

It went great from the phone call, setting up a time...which was very quick after my initial call, Coming to my house and consulting me on what they saw as the problem and what they could do to help. They are a really nice and professional group. They did a very good job and solved the problem. This year my pears and plums fared better then past years. The insecticidal soap spray got rid of the problem and saved my fruit trees. Because it was a nontoxic spray I could eat the fruit right from the tree and I didn't have to worry about my kitty cat getting sick or any other little animals running through my yard. I will definitely call them back!

I love Davey Trees, they do work for me every year, and they did a lot of work on my back yard. Dave is who I deal with and he is a great communicator. He will call and leave messages. They are the best. They are very punctual. The HOA hired them to take care of our landscaping. They are awesome.

I've actually worked with them for almost five years now. They are all arborists and they really know their stuff. They are professionals and it's really worth it with taking care of trees and working with professionals in terms of how you trim and care for them. They are very knowledgeable and very good.

The work proposal specified a crew working 1 day on trees in our wooded area. A 3-man crew started work at 10am and worked until 3pm, with a break for lunch. (I was told that that the supervisor would be here for the work, in addition to the crew, but he did not come.) The crew did a decent job but were not able to finish the work -- "they had to quit early to get home". That's when we learned the workers were commuting from a town 2-3 hours drive away. When I called the office to ask why the crew worked such a short day and to see if they would return to finish, I learned that Davey's pricing included the (huge) commute times, as well as actual work time. The proposal said nothing about including the cost of commute hours. This company's price was high compared to others, and we expected a full 8 hour day of work for that price, as we've always gotten from other landscaping businesses. (Nor did anyone from Davey explain that one of the crew would be an inexperienced new hire -- which hindered progress that day too.) We let the Davey office know we were very unhappy. And negotiated a lower price. But we will not do business with this company again.
