Description of Work: We ordered the 12 hours of yard clean-up package with Landscaping consultation. They redesigned and updated the look of our front yard and cleaned up both front and back yard. It went very well and was a smooth process. Very pleased with all their work!

Description of Work: I purchased a deal for $538 including a design consultation and 12 man hours of labor for the yard at my remodel in March 2015. It was frustrating to get on the schedule since they were so busy, but I was very satisfied with the work done. Two employees arrived promptly and worked efficiently to regrade and fine grade my front and back lawn areas for seeding, plant the berm area, and spread bark around the front of the house. Couldn't believe the amount of work they got done in just 6 hours. And the quality of the work was impressive, too!

They responded promptly and a detailed bid was presented to us. | |The work crew arrived as promised and they were a hard working crew and easy to communicate with. The completed project is very well done and we would do business with them again. Joe Givler was the company representative that we interface with and he was a pleasure to work with. Gonzalo was the crew leader and a hard worker who did an excellent job. They left the premises very clean after the project was done.

Description of Work: There was a ditch - a rather long one (appro 200ft) to be cleared of weeds and sod. Kyle from Bear Creek gave a good option of spending a bit more and getting the ditch and all surrounding areas cleared out too. The front yard looks 100% good. Am satisfied with the professionalism. The one hiccup I had was initial contact. I expected to get a call from Bear Creek a few days after purchase on Angie's List but did not hear from them for a whole week. I sent 2 emails and yet no response. I finally had to call them and leave a message - and got a call back another 2 days later. And there were 2 responses from different people- had to clarify that I was working with the other person. Seems like a disconnect in communications. But, job was well done!

Description of Work: The company "could not perform the work" within the time frame that I had hoped but not necessarily expected. I waited until the middle of April to try and find a landscaper. No surprise. I want to get a garden going. Turns out I can do it myself sooner than they could have. I appreciate them giving me an honest time frame rather than stringing me along. It just turned out to be further out than I cared to wait. I have no complaints.

Description of Work: I have used Bear Creek Landscaping in the past. I purchased a coupon for the labor part of my job and then paid for the plants. It was a bit hard to schedule and also a bit difficult to communicate what I wanted, but we got through it. The job included putting in several new trees and some plants into a bare back corner of my yard. It looks much better now.

Description of Work: Jim was very pleasant and professional in the initial meeting. I was disappointed that the Big Deal details were not followed. Not exactly an hour consultation and I had to follow up to get on the schedule and only was able to get a bid for a maintenance, not the additional service they actually did. Now they are billing for sales tax, saying that the Big Deal doesn't cover sales tax. I would highly recommend sticking to ONLY the Big Deal to make sure your actually getting what you paid for. Then get a written bid for anything additional and do it at a different time. They made a huge mess of the yard right before Easter because it was raining, which defeated the purpose of getting a yard clean up. Again, get a written bid for any additional services so you understand what your getting into.

Description of Work: I purchased the Angie's list daily deal for 40hrs of landscaping service from Bear Creek and couldn't be happier I did. I had several other companies come out and give me bids which were way more expensive than Bear Creek ended up being. They did a big time clean-up and general landscaping of my property including a nightmare rock-wall. They removed a bunch of sickly looking yuccas, built a couple of small retaining walls and pruned everything to look nice and healthy again. They had to remove maybe a yard of rubber mulch that I mistakenly used a couple years ago (don't do it if you are considering it!) and replaced it with a nice thick layer of bark throughout. | |These guys did a great job and everything looks as good as ever. I'm hoping that I can maintain from this starting point, but I'm sure eventually I will be calling them back for occasional maintenance as I have limited time to work in the yard these days with a new baby and another coming.

Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal - 12 hours of labor and 1 hour consultation for $538. They did great work, our yard needed a lot of help and it looked wonderful afterwards. There were a couple areas that had been discussed during the consultation that weren't completed. I called the owner and he quickly apologized and had his crew back out there within a couple days to complete the work at no additional charge to me. I definitely will be using them again in the future.

Description of Work: I was going to sign a 1 yr contract with this company, but wanted to try them out for 1 month before doing so. I am so glad that I did that. First they came late and then said that they can only do part of the things, because we have not signed a contract yet. Then the lead guy who was the account manager left and his crew starated working. I paid the guys the amount upfron since the account manger was leaving. I asked the guy if he was going to rim the hedges and he said he was not told to do so. I told him so am I only paying you for mowing the lawn. He calls the lead guy and said that he will trim the hedge - only the front one and not the back, becasuse that will take lot of time. I asked him who was going to rake and remove the weeds. He said that there is no need of raking. I asked if the would clear the mess that they have created. He said they will blow it away. While I was inside the house, the guys left without cleaning up the mess. When I called the supervisor he said that he had told them to pack up and leave, since they were above time. Also, when I called that person's boss, he said that I was overreacting and there was breakdown of communication. I told him he can come and take a look at the mess. He just hung up.; Never hire this company.

 + -1 moreUnfortunately, while this service provider came out to review the project we had (spring yard clean-up) we have never received an estimate. While we were told it would be a day or two to get an estimate, it's been over a week and nothing. Not the way to win new customers.
Description of Work: We contacted Bear Creak to give us an estimate on spring yard clean up. We've got a medium sized yard and wanted all the garden beds cleaned up as it's just too much for us to do by ourselves anymore. Len was quick to call and set up and appointment and was prompt in making the appointment. Unfortunately, that's the last we've heard from him.

 + -1 moreJoe Givler was the landscaper we worked with. Overall we were more impressed with him than any other contracter we have ever worked with. To say the least he was intelligent, professional, responded quickly, competatively priced, stayed within budget and completed the work in a timely fashion. But these are the qualities we would expect. What was not expected was the degree of craftmanship and integrity that Joe took beyond this. They truely set the bar in their field. We were first very impressed with the time and patience he took with my wife and I in the planning stages. Our goals were not well-defined (we just knew we wanted a solid return on our investment since we are selling our house in the next few weeks), neither of us are very creative and didn?t have many ideas of our own. Despite this we genuinely felt he understood our goals and was honest about what would work and wouldn?t work. I don?t think we?ve ever worked with a contractor who we trusted more. Second, we were very impressed with how well it turned out ? the result was far better than we had imagined. But the real icing on the cake came when upon final inspection, he identified something that wasn?t done perfectly (something we hadn't even noticed and didn't really bother us) and fixed it.
