Description of Work: We used Scotts last year and decided to go with them again this year. Our grass is pretty bad and we thought we should try for at least another year to see if they could get it to look better. We had an issue last year with one of the treatments but that was resolved to our satisfaction. Hopefully the grass will start looking better. We are trying to be patient. They don't spend much time here bu they do come on the date they promise.

Description of Work: TruGreen came to our home and provided an estimate for services (which seemed high), then they lowered it a bit but said it was "only if you sign up today". I'm not impressed with the "hard-sell" tactics and the services offered seemed overpriced.

Description of Work: They have done the one treatment so far. The dandelions are almost gone. I am waiting to see how it will look at the end of all the six treatments. My neighbors are also been getting lawn treatments from them and their yard looks great.

Description of Work: Actual person who showed up to treat lawn and tree/shrubs was very polite. BUT, when I had questions/concerns about areas of my lawn or trees, I spent 2 months and spoke to 6 different people at the main call center. Couldn't get anyone out to fix problem regardless that each time I was told I was scheduled for a service. Every time I called I was told a different story including that I wasn't paying my bill which wound up being an internal Trugreen issue/error with their system.

Description of Work: Ruined my lawn. Many calls and complaints, my lawn never looked so horrible. |They had plenty of excuses. After I cancelled the service they called to schedule service, I had to remind them I cancelled them last year. No very professional.

Description of Work: I have a seasonal plan with them, but I select what I want done rather than accept their package deal which is way to expensive. If you do not call to say they are to expensive, you won't know that this option exists. I set the services that I want and they charge me on my credit card as each service is completed. As far as the service people and the success of their treatment, they are excellent. My yard is lush and green as are the shrubs. I would highly recommend them as long as you are aware of the payment and service options.

 + -1 moreIt went well for the first few treatments. While they were doing treatments I started planting new shrubs/plants in your yard. A few days after they did a treatment to kill weeds I found that several of my new shrubs had been sprayed also. Three of the plants that were sprayed were killed. I called and let them know and cancel my service. They offered to replace the shrubs but I decided it wasn't worth keeping their service if I had to worry about that happening again.
Description of Work: Called on TruGreen after seeing how quite a few in my neighborhood were using them. Asked for a plan for grass since our yard has several bare spots.

 + -1 moreThere are pluses and minuses to using them. I mean, the down side of it is that they sometimes do call and say they are coming the next day and if we don t get the message, we may not really need the service. I mean they let you know, but if you don t get that message you better look out. We have followed up and they have improved on that score with us, but in the past, there were a few times where stuff got done that we weren't expecting.
Description of Work: Trugreen Chemlawn fertilizes our less than one acre lawn about once every other month and we have a contract with them annually.

They always come when they are supposed to and they send out nice people to do the work. We just like the Chem-Lawn company so much. We are totally pleased with them and their services.
Description of Work: This company comes out once a month to feed and treat our lawn. We have an annual contract with them to care for our 1/4 of an acre lawn.

They definitely help our lawn to look great and I think they're a good business so I would be hard-pressed not to continue to use their services. Their prices are pretty reasonable too from what I can tell.

MISSED/DELAYED NUMEROUS APPOINTMENTS THROUGHOUT THE SPRING AND SUMMER (AND I DON'T MEAN 1 OR 2 APPOINTMENTS), WHICH HAD BEEN AUTOMATICALLY SCHEDULED BY TRUGREEN. THIS FURTHER EXACERBATED THE CRABGRASS PROBLEM. FALSE PROMISES OF 2 FREE SERVICES (SEEDING AND RAKING OUR LAWN IN SEPTEMBER), WHICH NEVER OCCURRED. THE LAST STRAW WAS RECEIVING A LETTER FROM THE MANAGER WHO STATES, "WE ARE SORRY TO HAVE LOST THE BUSINESS OF A VALUED CUSTOMER LIKE YOU. WE WOULD LIKE TO BETTER UNDERSTAND WHY YOU HAVE DECIDED TO DISCONTINUE YOUR SERVICE". HE CONTINUES IN THE LETTER, "YOU WILL HAVE MY PERSONAL COMMITMENT THAT ANY FUTURE QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS YOU MAY HAVE WILL RECEIVE MY HIGHEST PRIORITY". I CALLED HIM TO DISCUSS THE LETTER; I'M STILL WAITING FOR A RETURN CALL! IF HE WAS SO CONCERNED IN THE FIRST PLACE, WHY DIDN'T HE GET ON THE PHONE WHEN I ASKED FOR A MANAGER! SO MUCH MORE; SO LITTLE SPACE TO SAY IT ALL!
