They were expensive. Their professionalism was okay.

They come on time, they convenient and professional.

I would not use them anymore and I will not renew the contract with them. With their pest control, they can spray around but they are not able to attend to any kind of issue like if I have a bees nest, they are not able to help with that because they are so new. That is not the problem, the problem is that last year when they were doing the application for the lawn, the lawn was terrible all year. Except for the grub control which was good because we didn't have grubs and we have applied that every year our lawn did not look nice and healthy. We decided not to renew their contract this year only for this reason. I was a little weary of the pest control because I know that if there was a bigger issue other than the perimeter spraying, they are not able to take care of it. I was doing something at home, and I looked outside, and the Scott truck was here, and he had just sprayed the grass, and I was not able to stop him, and he left. I called the company, and I asked why he was here because I had not renewed, and they said they had sent a renewal letter in the mail. I said I did not want it renewed and that is why I did not send it back, and they said that they renew everybody automatically. That was the first problem, and the second problem is that he was here this early spraying, and we had a hard wind storm, and there is a lot of debris, there are a lot of leaves, and branches, and if you are spraying, you are spraying on top of all that stuff. That is not going to get into the grass, the lawn needs to be cleaned. We got into a big argument, and they said they will send him to spray in two weeks. I told them I will pay him when he comes back and then they can cancel the contract. She said it would be $148 and I asked why it was so high, and she said he did the pest control as well. That is why my lawn didn't do so well last year, because they don't care. When he came to spray for the lawn last year, we had worked out it was going to be $48 for each time, and we had said that he would leave the bill, and the bill was $120 per time, and I asked them why it was 3 times and she said because he did 3 sprays in one.

Started off well, but over the summer we had weeds galore and we asked them for service. When they came when I was home, their visit was so fast I barely saw them in the yard. Almost like the tech was running through the yard just to leave for the next house - made me wonder if they treated the side yards at all. We had some type of spring dead spots all over the front and rear yards - and we were considering changing service when I came home to find Scotts had already treated the yard - I looked at the statement for treatment ($66) and there was no mention of the dead spots, just don't walk on it and the weather will improve - seems like a boiler plate statement if I ever heard one. Called the 800 line and spoke with a representative and was told annual renewal was automatic and you have to opt out - clearly looking to keep people too lazy to cancel, cancelled our account and said tech should be ashamed of having the Scott's truck parked in front of our house. Tried to ask the Scotts rep a question, but she had already hung up on me. Rather do it myself.

no problems. have used them for years. They come 5 times a year on schedule and do a great job. No complaints at all. Good work. Yes, I could save perhaps $10 per application by doing it myself. But I don't have to mess with it, or even remember that it is time to put down the pre-emergent, or whatever season. They have it covered.

They set when they're coming out. Usually when they tell me they're going to come out, they come out. I use them now by default. They missed a lot of stuff. It depends upon the technician.

The minimum amount of work is done. We were having problems with the lawn and needed them to give observations and apply a pest control product. They were not responsive at all, and when we called the manager to complain, he said it wasn't his fault because he wasn't there when it happened. That is not how you run a service business. We cancelled our service with them immediately.

They came out several times depending on the season. Our experience has been ok.

We used them three or four times over the summer. They adjusted the cost after we had a pool put in. They come when they say they will and call ahead of time. They have been good to work with.

I have been using them for three years now. I pay by the year. They come out every six weeks. My lawn looks very green. They are very willing to come out for free to re-spray if they miss a weed. I have been happy with them. They come on the day that they say they will.

They’re really reliable and do applications for lawn maintenance throughout the season. They’re very conscientious about their work and will let me know about potential problems.

Arranged fertilizing, weed and mosquito control services on June 18th. Company was prompt and applied mosquito control within two days. However, have yet to receive fertilization and weed control after 5 weeks of waiting. Second application of monthly mosquito control is now 4 days overdue. Also, very unusual, all phone calls go through central call center, so it's nearly impossible to contact the local service provider direct. I would expect, after registering a complaint, the local provider would take some initiative and phone me to discuss my dissatisfaction. I rate them as unreliable given this experience to date.

They seem to be treating the lawn regularly but I don't see any improvements. When I called them, I was told that they can come back for free to re-treat which is nice. I am looking for someone who I give the responsibility and they take care of it without me worrying about it. Lot of weeds and some grass burnt as well.. going to call them to meet in person I guess.

it went quite well. They killed the weeds and the grass is growing healthy

We had bad luck with lawn company in the past. Scotts is a recognize name so we got to get somebody that attracts so to speak. I haven't noticed any difference in the last three days so it's kind of early to say. My interaction with them was good. Initially, it was a little dicey for them to come out it kept delaying but we went through to get there.

The first time they came they explained it really wasn't worth it to use organic so I changed to normal treatment. When I called in to get bill readjustment, they asked me if I wanted a call before they came out. I said that would be great since my concern was with my dog eating the grass etc after treatment. I NEVER once received another call( or treatment) all summer and Fall asking me if that day would work. I called in to 800 # many times and let them know no one was coming. I spoke to Chris a Manager who said he would follow up. He called me back once and said he would reach out to person providing application. I left message again at the end of last year asking to get my money back since my grass is in horrible shape now from only 2 treatments all year. I never got a call back from Chris. I have called again this season at least twice and left messages with Chris through customer service agent. I still haven't heard back and can't get my money back. I am now ready to contact the Better Business Bureau as well.

Trugreen has performed these services at my present address every year since 1997. For several years I prepaid Trugreen, at the beginning each calendar year, for the services to be provided that year. In exchange for prepayment, Trugreen discounted its prices by 10%. Then, because Trugreen did not actually perform all of the services I'd paid for, I stopped prepaying and began paying for each service when/if/as it was performed. But paying each time became such a hassle (and Trugreen made it more of a hassle than it had to be) that I prepaid for 2012. I was not happy with Trugreen's service in 2012, partly because they tried to increase their prices in mid-season (I objected), but mainly because my lawn had so many weeds and it looked so poor that I strongly suspected TruGreen had been applying too little weed-control and too little fertilizer, and had not been covering all of my lawn. I prepaid again for 2013, but this year I paid more attention and I kept more careful records than I had in previous years. Again this year my lawn looked poor. I complained, repeatedly; and eventually (twice) Trugreen sent someone to inspect my lawn. The second visitor was knowledgeable and made useful observations and suggestions, which I appreciated although they contradicted what another TruGreen rep. had told me. However, at the end of the season my records showed that one of the tree+shrub applications for which I had paid, and _two_ of the lawn applications for which I had paid, had not been performed. To check my records I logged into my account at Trugreen's website and took screen-shots of the web-server's statements of what I had paid, what services had been performed, and what the price of each service was. These screen-shots, which I have retained, show that one tree+shrub application and one lawn application for which I had paid were NOT performed. Perhaps I was mistaken about the _second_ lawn application; I don't think so, but I can't prove it so I'll ignore it. But TruGreen's own record shows that I did not receive one tree+shrub application and one lawn application for which I had paid. I wrote to Trugreen requesting a refund of the $190.40 sum of the discounted prices of these two undelivered applications. If/when I receive the refund, I will report it here. Anyway, you should know that Trugreen has been underperforming for years; 2013 was not the first year; it was not even the second. It's at least the fifth since 1997; and the trend has been negative for at least ten years.

As the grades indicate "Lousy". I grew up ( 50 years ) with Scotts products that I applied myself. We have had other fertilizer Companies and I thought I would change this year to get what I thought was top notch. I should have read Angie's list 1st - I would not have done the deal. Now "guarantee" is a fight for my money back. The lawn is now in the hands of the "DAWG" - my old service provider. I look forward to greener pastures.......

They provide yearly service and I think that they charge me $320 per year. I have been using them for a year now. I would not strongly recommend them but I would hire them again. The quality of their service is very good but the communication from their office is not strong. The technician who comes to the house is also very helpful and personable.

I have used Tru Green for many years. The value may be suspect to some, but it does help. Yes, their chemicals help keep weeds out, but I still have plenty (this year more than ever). Also got the grub service in the past and still had some evidence of grubs. The real killer was this year they have come once to put the initial application on and haven't been back since (grub service or otherwise). Even for the initial application (I believe weed preventer) and I had to ask their upsell people (who constantly call you btw!) where the heck they have been! Finally came out late spring and I have a ton of clover and crab grass. It is now approaching the end of July and they have not been back since, either with the 2nd applicaion or the grub applicaion. Just called to cancel and will now be looking for someone else to aerate and reseed the lawn this fall. A real disapointment. The price is not worth the service...guess the company may not be that hungry for business (at least in the lawn care dept). If you're in the market for termite or tree service, sign up for their lawn service, as they will call you all the time to try and upsell!

Sent an email 2 days prior, showed up on time, performed the services, gave the written summary of the services.

They did a great job last year for me and the only reason I was shopping this year was because they hit me with a huge price to do it this year and then I discovered by talking to customer service people that they had put a number of different services in that I really didn't need anymore, so when we got down to the real needs for the yard it cut the cost way back to much more affordable. I am happy with their service and I have no problems with that and I want to about pay $1500 for them to get my lawns little thicker. They do a real nice job. They call ahead of time to let me know that they are coming to do the service. Every people are always very nice, very knowledgeable. If I am not home they do the service they stick a little sign in the yard saying that it has been done and if I have to do anything in, if I have to water it in to do anything of that nature. Generally I don't have to do much or anything and that is all I want them to do sow up, make it green, make it thick and go away and do it at least expensive cost. I would use them again.

Our family has used Scotts products on our lawn every year, but time to perform all the yard work was becoming less. This spring a Scotts rep came to the house to offer their programs. Since they were able to price the service, product and labor, for the same cost we were buying the product and having to apply ourselves we decided to sign on. The grass is green without one dandilion or other weed. The liquid application they apply penetrates much faster than the granual. Bear spots that started to fill in are thriving with new grass. Looking forward to having the best lawn in the neighborhood.

The apple trees had more insects problems in 2012 than in years prior and produced hardly any fruit. The crab grass, the entire reason we hired TruGreen, was worse in the fall than it started out in the spring. What drove me to actually write this review today, though, was that they auto-renewed our service and showed up today and applied a treatment to our lawn without our consent! Auto-renewal of services is the lowest of the low in our opinion and we will not be doing business with TruGreen in the future if not just due to their auto-renewal policy. They were always on time, though, hence the A for punctuality.

Set up service 2 months ago. No word from them, I emailed them 3 times, called twice. Finally spoke to someone and asked when my service would start. She said they'd be out early next week. It's Friday and they still haven't come. So much for my lawn getting a good Spring treatment. Scott's so far for me has been all talk and no action. Hopefully that will change soon.
