Description of Work: Repaired water spigot on front of house. Quality work but way expensive for a basic repair, and I had to buy a new spigot and install myself, or pay even more for them to go to the hardware store, pick one up and install. I explained that the existing unit would need to be replaced, you would think they would bring one.

Excellent all the way around. There were no hidden fees, the service tech. was friendly and up-front with everything he was doing. He suggested that I could have septic tank extensions put on to save the dig up fee next time or to allow me to unclog a baffle next time. I didn't take him up on it and there was no pressure to do so.

Description of Work: The quote for the bid was average. We chose FloHawk due to proximitry to the job and recommendation of our realator. They did the work promptly but were slow to get the paper work into the county. The lid to the tank was put on clearly off center so we called the office and talked to a lady that said it was fine and not to worry about it. A second confirmatory call was made and the second person said not to backfill the inspection hole as the lid could be a problem. So it must be said that it was hard to get a straight answer from the office. Our realtor finally resolved the problem and I was able to fill the access. All in all, FloHawk did the work fine, but they need help with communication and paperwork.

We noticed several weeks ago that whenever we washed clothes, showered or used the dishwasher that water would overflow out to our culdesac. So we called Flohawks for the repair. On 6/9/12 their first driver came and pumped syphon tank for relief, but due to the fact that we needed our neighbor's approval to enter their property (yes, our drainfield is in our neighbors back yard), Flohawks would have to return in order to complete the evaluation and repair. They still did not know what the problem was or how much it was going to cost to fix it! The driver gave us our invoice breaking down everything that he had done with the subsequent charges and asked for payment. My husband gave the driver his debit card information and signed the invoice as told. We were given a copy of that signed invoice which came to $431.15 They returned the following Monday (6/11). Jetted the drainfield and exposed 1 lateral and jetted it. Found a broken line and fixed it. My husband was given two seperate invoices that day, $743.65 and $270.92 and was asked for payment. He once again gave his debit card info and signed both invoices where instructed. They gave us copies of both signed invoices and left. Instead of charging my husbands account for each seperate approved invoice amount, which total $1445.72, we see that they charged $1743.25. I have called them three times and asked them to show us where we approved an additional $297.53 Invoice for payment. They did good work but the dishonest bookkeeping soured our whole experience.

The job went without a hitch! They are a bit pricey... But you can trust them to do the job right!
Description of Work: They showed up when expected. Dug up the septic tank covers.Pumped the septic tank's two chambers.Inspected the system, the drain field, and the pump chamber.Performed a minor repair on the pump without charge and dug deeper holes than quoted for the risers without extra charge!Plus...Removed old tank covers without extra charge (normally $20 each). And finally, installed two risers, back filled the holes.

The truck and operator showed up as scheduled. He pumped the tank and in the process discovered the damaged baffle. He had some plastic pipe on the truck and used it to construct and install a replacement for the cement baffle. Once that was done, he installed the risers and backfilled the dirt. I had located and dug up the lids beforehand.
Description of Work: I had the tank pumped and two 2' x 2' risers installed. While pumping the tank, we discovered that the outlet baffle was found to have disintegrated. The serviceman repaired the damage. I was not charged for the repair, only the pumping and riser work originally requested. I had gotten several estimates and Flowhawks was competitive.

Description of Work: Service was good. Did not expect them to leave the very heavy septic tank covers that were under ground when they installed the new covers on top of the ground. I don't even know what to do with them they are very heavy. Wish they would have taken them away

Tech was suppsoed to show up between 8 and 11, so I guess 9:45 is as punctual as one can expect. He looked at the job and estimated to be 2 hours worth. BTW, these guys are EXPENSIVE - they charge $140 for 30 minutes and $38.50 for each 15 mins afterwards. So, first hour is $255 and subsequent hours are $154. My bad for not checking before calling, so I took responsibility and Oked the 2 hour job. Although I described the job to the person on the phone, none of which was communicated to the technician and he showed up without the parts (basic copper step downs, elbows etc..). 30 minutes into the job with the water shut off to the whole house, he had to run to the local hardware store - which took an hour. Mentioned he wouldn't charge me for the travel, so I was fine. He worked for another hour and had to run back to the store because he thought the filter he looked at before the first trip had 1and quot; inlets and it had 3/4and quot;. Back to the store to get the step downs, which took another 45 minutes. The job was completed finally at 2:45PM. With an hour and 45 travel minutes in a total of 5 elapsed hours, the job should have only costed me 3 hrs and 15 minutes. Guess what I was charged - 4.5 hours . When I asked for a clarification, he said he has to put it all in the computer in the truck again, but did it when I insisted. He came back with a 4 hour cost, which still didn't make sense to me. When I started rattling off the details, he said he was getting very frustrated and is already going to get criticised by his company for not charging me travel time to the store !! I could clearly see he was very upset - so I decided to just bear with the 45-minute extra cost. So, a 5 hour water shutdown, a plumber who misses his initial estimate of 2 hours by 2 extra hours without ever informing me, and a $860 bill to install a $100 water filter. Now, that's what you call a really bad day. The job was done well, but the lack of communication between the call taker and the tech, the time it took to complete the job because they didn't have the parts on the truck, and the over charging were all very disappointing factors.
Description of Work: Had a full house filter installed. Job was to feed off the main water line, loop it back through the new filter, and add a shut off valve.

However, earlier in the day, the plumber was "in the neighborhood" and called to see if they could do the job sooner (I had a 1-5PM window), they supposedly left a note on the door also. I never received a phone call nor was there a note when I got home. Apparently because I did not call them back, I was removed from the schedule. I called around 4PM and they got me back on the schedule. They finally got there at 5:30. Wanting to do the job early is all fine, but if you do not get any answer from the customer, you should just come when originally scheduled. I was given a discount (Thank You). iF you use these people make sure you call before your window to make sure when they are supposed to be there.
Description of Work: We had some sewer gas coming out from the toilet. Toilet was inspected and reinstalled (correctly, installers from 6 months ago did not do it right) and there has not been a reoccurrance.

It went great. He knew what the problem was right away and fixed it in about 40 min.
Description of Work: I had a pipe burst and they responded within a 1/2 hr of my call for help! The repair man that they sent was super nice and calming. He explained everything to me and was super neat. He had to cut a hole in my formal living room wall and he was very considerate about keeping everything neat and dry. He took out the broken pipe and put in new pipe. When he left all I had to do was vaccuum a little dust along the wall. No water got inside the living room!
They were very fast and efficient. I was impressed. He dug up the earth, put in his equipment, and got our lines cleared. He was done with everything in less than a half an hour. I thought they were very professional and I will definitely use them again.
Description of Work: The septic system backed up in the basement so we called Flohawks. The main line was plugged and they took care of it.

They showed up and supposedly did the service. When problems arose about 2 months later I found out they never cleaned the filters which caused the system to work extraordinarily slowly. That resulted in water backing up into the house. I asked for copies of the paperwork showing the service they performed and have never received it. Flohawk was quick to accept a discount coupon and schedule service but they have been completely unresponsive when I inquired about the completed work.
They were great all the way around. They were very prompt and did quality work. They were friendly. Their prices were moderately high.

FloHawk is a great company. They are operating 24 hours a day and do not charge extra for emergencies. They are always pleasant and do great work. We are well pleased with their services and would use them again if we needed a plumber.
Description of Work: We had the sink in the downstairs rec room snaked out. They had to go about 60 feet in order to clear it.
