Fine Design Interior Remodeling

On a scale of 1-10 with 10 best, we rank Fine Design, Sarah as our designer, a 10. Its rare that we have work done on our home and once complete we are 100% pleased with the work (design, planning, flexibility, professionalism, follow-up) the communication and the budget / payment process. The comfort gave us combined confidence and comfort to more than double our scope (began as bathroom heated floors then moved to complete bathroom, kitchen, basement custom work remodel, stairwell carpet, area carpet). Upon completion we could smile, show off our home and sit back and enjoy. We will use Fine Design again.

Sarah and her crew did an outstanding job on my kitchen. Sarah's choices were perfect and fit my style to a T. Everyone was punctual and courteous. They did their very best to keep the dust and dirt from the rest of my house. At any time that I was home and talked with the crew, they were all pleasant and spent time answering my questions and explaining things to me. They all stood by there work, and made sure it was done right. Thank you for the beautiful kitchen I now have.

Fine Design Remodel were great. They came on budget and the time line they quoted me was right to the date. The designer Carla was great to work with and made sure the whole remodel was stress free for us. I would use them again but would say they are higher in price, but worth it because they had all their trades on schedule. The craftsmanship of the cabinets, molding were really good. I highly recommend working with a designer who can communicate with the contractor and his team. The trades were polite and always cleaned up after the job. My past experiences working with just a contractor with two people is night and day. It is worth more to pay extra for a complete team like Fine Design.

We are very pleased with the work Fine Design did remodeling our three bathrooms. Working with one company to do the design and remodeling streamlined the process and made communication very easy. We personally do not enjoy spending hours picking out tile, fixtures, flooring, etc. and hoping it all looks good together. Carla the designer did a great job capturing our tastes, and we made very few changes from her initial ideas. She saved us hours of time and frustration, and we love how the bathrooms look. Fine Design did well coordinating the contractors for doing the painting, plumbing and tile work, and the workers were all very friendly and professional. Overall, we would rehire Fine Design in a heart beat and highly recommend them.

Very disappointing in that they said we were 5 miles outside their service range. I give them credit for the prompt call back but they should state on their info that they only service a certain area. Very mice lady called me though and I am just disappointed that we could not use them as it seems like they nod good work. Well never know though as we are 4 miles to far from them.

Their designer, Carla, came out and listened to our outline of what we wanted and she immediately started filling in the pieces that we were not even thinking about. Her experience and good design eye provided us with information and choices for all the details. We visited their showroom, where we could make selections from their numerous samples of everything from cabinets and sinks to tile and grout. Within a couple weeks their expert contractors were out and working. Demolition, drywall, plumbing, electrical, painting, and fixture installation were all accomplished by experienced and friendly individuals. We were picky about getting everything correct, and they were more than happy to complete each and every one of even our smallest request. Carla followed along throughout the entire process to be sure everything was done to our plan, and if she was not immediately available, Fine Design Interiors’ cheerful office staff was quick to step in and help us where they could. A month later we were left with a gorgeous bathroom that was better than we could have imagined. We would heartily recommend Fine Design Interiors to anyone considering a similar project.

The remodel went very well with only the usual minor issues and delays. It was completed in less than a month, very close to on schedule. All of the contractors were punctual, clean, tidy, courteous and friendly and their work was very good. I am extremely happy with the result and hope to do more projects with them in the future.

IN ALL PHASES OF YOUR BUSINESS EXPERIENCE WITH THEM. ***** They do what they say they'll do, are on time, act professional, have excellent construction people working on your house and your consultant helps you get the products and look that you want without making you feel like they know best and you don't. Very professional company and employees. Our consultant/project manager (Carla) was super. She learned what we were looking for and helped us make decisions, gave recommendations, and was always available when we had a question. They have excellent choices (lots) and product quality but they never pushed products on us. Rather, Carla was very helpful in narrowing things down for us and staying within our range. The construction workers were good, did excellent work and didn't leave a pig pen as they worked. Added bonus, they have a "cleaner' come in at the end and clean it top to bottom so my wife and I weren't stuck cleaning up debris and hauling off junk. Wow! I'm just not used to that. When I did an occasional walk-through and e-mailed a couple of items that I noticed or asked for an additional item to be done...they were right on it. Having an outstanding consultant working with you makes a huge difference. Our person (Carla) was amazing. So nice, knowledgeable, experienced, patient, honest. This is how a customer-business experience should be. If only the government could run this way (I'm dreaming, I know). I'm coming back to this business for my next remodel and we have 2 other bathrooms to do in the future. They saved me about $12k by working with us on what we wanted...verses taking us to the high end of a bathroom remodel (which annoyed me) when we visited a big box home improvement chain...which is why I started looking on Angie's List.

Fine Design was a pleasure to work with. Our project had some unexpected issues that arose but they were eager with solutions and made our home into what we always knew it could be! Their ability to consult with the design as well as do the work makes Fine Design the perfect choice for any remodel. They truly brought our ideas and vision to life and made our house the perfect home!

They came out and not only gave us an estimate for work, but gave us design ideas from different aspects that we had not thought of. Extremely creative. She said she was going to give us a detailed quote, but I haven't seen it yet because they were here last week. She took lots of measurements more than I would expect. They called and scheduled around my wifes' schedule.

We have never had anything remodeled before so needed help on what to do. They were very responsive quick to reply. Came out gave a complete overview and had great ideas on what we could do on a budget. We will consult further on using them to do the remodel.

These guys were absolutely great to work with. They were friendly, punctual, and highly skilled. Everything was finished on time and on budget, and the finished remodel exceeds our expectations in every respect. We couldn't be happier that we selected them, and we thank Angie's List for that.

They are good, we have had multiple meetings, they are not just coming in here to start tearing down things and start working they are meeting with us and talking with us to see what we would like for them to do next.

The whole process went great. Sarah was on top of the design listening to our desires. The contractors were receptive, efficient and thorough. Project stayed on schedule and hiccups were addressed quickly. We are still in love with our kitchen!

The entire job went well. We appreciated the designer who coordinated selection of materials and the job. They were prompt and kept to the schedule presented to us, they kept the place clean and were competent and professional. These are all reasons we would use them again, but the most compelling reason is how they handled the one problem that occurred. At the very end of the job, we discovered a mistake that meant 3 extra hours or so of corrective work. This was taken care of immediately and the job was completed on the scheduled day. What better way to find out how well a company is run!

We met with Carla to pick the materials that would be used. A few days later Carla came out to the house with the sample materials to see what the samples would be like with the rest of the bathroom. The job started on time and continued to progress on time. All the workers were very pleasant and did their part of the job very well.

The problem with remodeling reviews is that they are always written right after the job is done. We were worried about things we didn’t think about and if it would become a problem or irritation over time. We had our kitchen remodeled by Fine Design in May of 2016 and wrote a review June 25th. We were very pleased then with the remodel and we continue to be pleased with everything. The suggestions, planning, and workmanship were wonderful. We have had four major holiday celebrations and it has been a delight to entertain. Our work area and storage for food, dishes, and cookware has more than met our needs. One year later we would like to say again that Fine Design Interior Remodeling did a great job and all concerned were very professional. We are enjoying our kitchen as much as we did in our first month and are very glad we chose Fine Design for this project.

I am beyond pleased with the work that was done!!! The wall on both sides turned out beautiful!!! And, the enclosed porch looks absolutely amazing!!! Patricia Mattes is wonderful to do business with!! She is very professional and extremely knowledgeable, And, she also has an amazing staff that works for her!! They were timely and very good in communication. My interaction with them was very good. They were hands-on. They openly communicated and were available when necessary. The work was great.

Better than I ever imagined. We left on January 1st for a three week vacation in Mexico and they stared on January 2nd. We got back home on January 20th and everything was completed except for a few details which were quickly finished early the next week. This in spite of every one who worked on the site getting the horrible flu that was hitting our area hard. They completely gutted our old, very dated bathroom and retired, replace everything. New bathtub, now flooring, new vanity, medicine cabinet, lighting, sink faucets...all brand new and beautiful. It was hard for me to relax and trust them but we had good communication with them from Mexico. When we have a project in the future I would definitely use them again. I have the bathroom of my dreams after 22 years of wanting to change it. And our home was completely cleaned when the finished.

It was excellent. The owner, Patty is very knowledgeable. The crew is very knowledgeable and they clean up as they go. Any problems you may have they fix right away and the owner is always available if you have any trouble. Excellent service, and excellent materials used in the remodel.

Sarah and the staff did a wonderful job. They paid attention to the little details and tied in the existing space and flooring that we were keeping. I highly recommend.

Fine Design came and designed our kitchen, printed us a calendar of the work schedule, and began work November 1. The only delay was due to our dishwasher being backordered which was out of their control. They were prompt in sticking with their schedule and inspected every subcontractors work. They addressed every concern we had (which were very few). Their subcontractors were very professional also. Sarah was the designer and contact person, and she stayed in touch with us several times per week. The quality of their work was exceptional. We enjoyed doing business with them, and they will be the first contractor we turn to for any future needs. They are the best.

We were particularly impressed by all the craftsmen Fine Design either brought in or (in the case of the asbestos removal) recommended for this work. Their professionalism and the quality of their work was excellent. There were, as can be expected with a project this complex, bumps along the way, but when we ran into difficulties, the folks from Fine Design worked them out with respect to both design and structural issues. The price below does not include the asbestos work or the appliances.
