Description of Work: We did a major remodel on our house (kitchen, utility room, entry way, main bathroom and master bathroom). | |Everything went very well. The project was large, but Fine Design was right on target and they completed the project within the time frame they laid out for us. They were also on budget. | |Everyone from Fine Design was a pleasure to work with. They are professional and they do quality work. Description of Work: Remodeled a small Bathroom. Terrible job, they had to Re-Do the Sheet Rock,the Paint, the Floor. Had to buy a new Towel Bar because the 2nd time they had to Re-Intall from re-doing the Walls, they Broke the first new one. They left Paint Splatter on everything, from the Tub to my new Lights!!!

Fine Design made our home very beautiful. I was not prepared for the length of time of numerous delays, but all of my concerns were addressed, and they completed a quality job. Description of Work: The master bathroom was completely remodeled. The walls were taken down to the studs and the half-wall around the old toilet was removed. The old vanity, toilet, tub and shower were also removed. A new tile heated floor and floor to ceiling tile around the new walk-in shower and one wall was installed. New two-sink vanity, toilet, self-standing volcanic limestone bathtub were installed. A new rain shower and hand held shower with separate controls were installed. Two medicine cabinets, one with an electrical outlet, were installed. A towel warmer and motion sensor to turn on the under cabinet lights were installed. LED ceiling lights were installed. All of the new fixtures were installed in different places from the old fixtures. | |The Fine Design team is friendly and professional and they all worked together to complete the job. They were punctual, reliable and a pleasure to work with. The project was completed within our timeline, except for the tub filler. We received some bad information from the plumbing supplier and the tub filler did not work as advertised and so had to be replaced. Patty at Fine Design took our vision and turned it into reality. We love our new bathroom and would use Fine Design on future projects. |

Description of Work: Completely remodeled the kitchen, new tile floor in family room and kitchen, new cabinets, granite counters, can lighting in living room for artwork, large skylights in family room and kitchen, special frame for large stained glass panel in kitchen. Jemma and Patty were great to work with. Their staff and subcontractors were competent and professional. The stained glass was difficult, but they stuck to it and it turned out just as I had hoped. I love my new kitchen and family room.

Description of Work: We had an excellent, personal design consultation with the owner of Fine Design for our 5 x 7 bathroom remodel. She had samples and pictures of previous work. She listened to my ideas and desires, and guided us with her expertise. After our decision to go with Fine Design, a contract with a detailed itemized list of what was to be done, a timeline and completion date, and the cost was signed. A calendar of when subs would be here was issued and work began on the scheduled date. We had a complete remodel from the studs up (no moving of plumbing, however). Work consisted of complete demolition, with disposal, new walls, heated tile floor, tile tub surround, new cast iron tub, new cabinets, new sink and fixtures, new granite counter top, new lighting and fan, paint, trimwork, new door, everything! We used a plumber, tiler, and general finish and installation contractor. These subs were excellent. Fine Design owner was on site many times and emailed me many times as we worked through choices. The completion date was met. We will use Fine Design again when we remodel our second bathroom. Just an excellent company!

When I do remodel the shower, I will probably go with them. I will use their services again in the future.

+ 7 moreWe had an excellent experience with Fine Design. They were responsive, helpful and willing to work with us on meeting our particular needs. I am somewhat of a handy man and I was able to do much of the work myself. They were willing to let me do as much as I wanted myself and to work along side their people during installation. I ended up doing all the demolition myself, which included taking the master bathroom down to the studs. Since we couldn't afford to do the whole project at once, they were willing to let us do it piece meal over a 16 month period. Overall we are very satisfied with the quality of the work performed and the materials provided. We got some beautiful granite pieces from their supplier and the installation of the bathroom tile was a work of art. Fine design subcontracts with the same artisans on all their projects. They have found good people and they stick with them. The plumbing went fine except that the flow rate from the new tub faucet in the master bath is a little slow. They came back to investigate and replaced the faucet valve but it didn't make any difference. The flow in the other bathroom (where we installed the same faucet fixtures) is more normal. I suspect it has something to do with the new supply lines that were installed in the master bath. My house has copper supply lines but new stuff these days is flexible plastic. The master bath needed new supply lines and the plastic was used. I suspect there is a internal diameter difference that reduces the water pressure a little. Something to ask about if your doing new plumbing work. The granite / quartz supplier measured and installed all the countertops including mounting the new sinks - came out beautiful. On price, we found Fine Design to be very competetive.
Description of Work: We extensively remodeled our master bath (took out shower, put in tub, extended vanity, added additional sink), and updated two other bathrooms (new fixtures, granite countertops, tile flooring and tub surrounds, and lighting). We also updated our kitchen countertop to quartz and put in new faucet fixtures and cabinet hardware. We also put in new carpet and painted. Fine Design helped us in picking out fixtures, choosing paint and carpet colors, and ceramic tiles for the bathrooms. They were also our supplier for all the granite, quartz, tile, and carpet, plumbing fixtures and sinks / tub, bathroom and cabinet trim hardware and lighting. We had their plumber do all the plumbing work and their tile man do all the bathroom tile work, which was extensive. They also installed the wall to wall carpet.

Description of Work: Have done two major remodels with Patty including kitchen and bathrooms the first time. We have found that her ideas about such things as cabinets and countertops were outstanding. Her people showed up on time and she stands behind all their work. The second project included carpets, painting and a bathroom make over. Her color suggestions were great. All the people that worked for her were skilled professionals. Any areas of conerns were taken care of without any problem. She keeps you informed about the status and you know what is happening especially when it a longer project. The quaility of the materials used are top notched. She is always overseeing the work of her workers. She works with you to keep things within your buget. She suggest new materials and products that really upgraded both projects. These people are good.

+ 5 moreProject was smooth, yet difficult to live without our kitchen for about 7 weeks. Finished product well worth any hassle. Fine Design went extra mile and brought in cleaning team after project completed to clean the residual dust in our house.
Description of Work: Kitchen remodel--knocked out a wall and made our once 'gallley kitchen" into show place. They provided accurate estimate then brought in team of workers: electrician, drywall, paint, hardwood specialists, cabinet installation, etc.. Work was professional and timely. Always felt like we could call Fine Design and get answers. Very happy with new kitchen design and utility. Very helpful with decorating ideas and provided a great idea of how finished product would appear.
