Fine Design Interior Remodeling

As I mentioned, we're extremely happy with the results. I would recommend their services to anyone!

I was pretty nervous going into this project. I got several quotes, just like you're supposed to. Fine Design was itemized and included all the materials. (I can't tell you how disappointed I was by other contractors who didn't want to buy the fixtures, or do the painting - that kind of stuff). But not FIne Design. It was all there. I knew my bathroom was in poor condition and worried about what we'd find behind the walls. Patty Mattes listened to all my wants and needs. When we met to pick out flooring, tile and paint she had made selections based on my input that were spot on! She was able to itemize approximate costs for the possible additional repairs that might be needed due to water damage in the walls, so I was reassured that I wouldn't get a huge unexpected additional bill once we got started. I had to wait to start because my tub was a custom order, but once all was ready I received a detailed schedule of who would be in to do what work and when. They had to do a bit of juggling during the project when repairs in my floor took some extra time, but everyone adjusted and my bathroom was complete within a couple days of the original estimate. One of the little things that pleased me was when the medicine cabinet arrived and the quality wasn't up to expected standards, Patty took one look and exchanged it for something better without even thinking twice. Everyone was very professional and pleasant and I plan to contact Fine Design for my kitchen project when the time comes.

We believe the favorite part of our remodel project was the granite installed on the center island. In addition to pursuing and finding the exact match to our existing granite, which were small sections on either side of the stove, Fine Design also worked with our request to make sure the island would contain the section of granite that we felt would be center focal in our kitchen. When the granite slabs arrived, we were able to preview the rock surface and discovered a cloudy image of a horse. We were excited at the prospect and asked if it could be featured on the island. It is truly a work of art and now a topic of conversation when people gather in our kitchen. The fact that they took the time to accommodate our request was phenomenal, making them, in our opinion, a cut above their competition. Through the efforts of all those involved, we now have matching, fine quality throughout our home we can now enjoy the rest of our lives. We feel we got twice the value of what we expected and we recommend Find Design Interior Remodeling without reservation.

It was a pleasant experience. Patty and Jenna came out and gave us intial plans and ideas and helpful hints. They walked us through the process since we were not entirely sure what we wanted. There estimate for the job was very thorough. They came to the house wit h a large number of samples for us to look at. They went with us to the granite supplier to help pick out the granite tops. After we contracted with them, they used good quality subcontractors. They came out and made sure that the subcontractor understood the plan. They were always available when the subcontractors had questions. They did a good job of working with us to let us know when the subcontractors were going to beworking. All of the subcontractors showed up at the agreed to times. The job was done on time and on budget. We are extremely happy with the finished product. We would highly recommend Fine Design Interior Remodelling. We will probably use them again in the future when it is time to remodel the kitchen.

Every thing went well, there were suprises, Two support beams that were uncovered in the tear out that needed to be reinforced. There were the normal delays but never more than a day or two. The first thing installed was the sky light ( I still keep trying to turn off the light - its not on). Then the upstairs bath was taken to the studs, and two closets, one linen and one in the bedroom adjancent to the bath were removed along with the large window in the upstairs bath. The downstairs bath was next to the studs and the small window was removed and replaced with concrete. Next the basement flooring was removed by the abatement guys Then the plumbing job began, the basement had to be jackhammered , the main waist and drain moved and replaced with modern piping, The floor was re-concreted and the re-construction began. The walk in tub was delivered and placed in the upstairs bath. Then the walls were closed up and the sheet rock installed and taped and mudded. Then the walls were textured and painted. Next the tile fllors and walls went in. The tub and toilets and shower next and the fixtures installed. The work men were all very professional and skilled.

Contacted Patty to schedule providing an estimate to remodel my bathroom. I found them to be polite and professional from scheduling to completion. Provided a timely and through estimate.

Our experience with Fine Design was nothing short of spectacular. From the beginning, Patty and Jemma were professional listeners who were careful to incorporate our ideas when they designed our space. They took time to explain design and materials options and ideas to us in a way that was collaborative and respectful. In the end they successfully created a really insightful, beautiful, and highly functional kitchen that exceeded our expectations. Our home was built in 1978 and the changes we wanted to make took a lot of thought, and a great deal of imagination, which Fine Design provided. Like most homes, ours has no square corners, flat walls, or flat floors. No problem for these folks.Their ideas and the skills of the craftsmen they brought in to do the work were amazing. Their bid was very comprehensive, detailed, and competitive. Once we agreed on all the details, the work began right on time and remained on schedule throughout the project. One or both of these ladies were at our home checking on all details and progress regularly as they had promised they would. Everyone showed up on schedule, and were done on schedule. Pros. The work by all, including the design plan, tear out, drywall, painting, flooring, cabinetry, plumbing, electrical was absolutely outstanding. They all worked hard, cleaned up after themselves, and clearly took great pride in their work. All the folks who worked in our home were most professional and the finish work in particular was truly masterful, especially the cabinetry and flooring. Even the paint colors they recommended are fabulous! We are very detail oriented people and were blown away by the quality of the work and materials. When small problems arose along the way, inevitable when building such an extensive project, that is where Patty, Jemma, and their team really shined. Every phone call and email was returned promptly. Every tiny issue was handled in a professional, timely, and fair manner. They are contractor rock stars! The project took a small galley kitchen and small family room and transformed them to a 500 sf. wide-open-light-filled space that is highly functional and beautiful. Every one of our family and friends who has been to our home since the transformation begins with "WOW, this is like a completely different house!" We could not agree more! It's B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L! Working with Fine Design was a delight, provided great results, and they were just really fun to work with. If you are looking for a quality professional at a reasonable price to do any kind of remodel in your home you would be making a mistake not to talk to these folks first. We certainly will! After accepting Patty's plan/budget specifics, the tear down and haul away of all my old kitchen was scheduled and completed. A very exacting work calendar was created and followed during the whole process (which is to be finished Friday, Dec. 21st in time for Christmas!). Patty is a super organized, as well as creative, designer! Her partner, Gemma, who took me to look at granite and countertop materials, was helpful and understanding in helping me to make my final decisions on patterns. All the subcontractors have done excellent work as well.

A co-worker had his remodeling started within a few days of when Patty started ours. He is having the same things done to his house. His price started out $20,000 less than ours, but he had to fire his first (unlicensed) contractor. His price is now moving up and he will be lucky if the job is done by Christmas, while ours was finished before Thanksgiving. Patty and her crews are professionals that do top notch work and more often than not, they completed their work ahead of schedule. We had Patty out for a bid, and were a little apprehensive at first. We were on a tight budget, and had the impression that this company did larger interior remodels mostly. We were pleasantly surprised by the bid, especially the cabinets, and decided to move forward. Under Patty's instructions, we went to a flooring supplier and picked out a vinyl. It was gorgeous. A carpenter came and measured for the cabinets. The first day a very nice young man named Chris installed the floor. He did a wonderful job, and the flooring was lined up to the room perfectly. The trim did not go so well. Patty came in to inspect and had him remove it. This blew me away. They really cared how it looked! Another guy came and redid the trim and it looked awesome! The fact that this company redid the trim instantly was amazing. The cabinets arrived the next day prebuilt and ready for install. Two guys had them up in half an hour. All I can say is WOW! The cabinets looked incredible! They matched perfectly with the sink cabinet, and fit perfectly. The doors were hung straight, and the interior of the cabinets was just as nice as the outside. I smile every time I see them. Patty and her team have been a joy to work with, and their quality of work is beyond anything I have ever experienced. This company gets an A in my book!

Through this whole process of having my kitchen cabinets, sink and kitchen and bathroom countertops replaced, Patty, my contractor, was always there for me to answer my questions. She remained cool, calm and helpful. I could reach her by phone, email or she would stop to check on the quality and progress of the work. The project was finished in a timely manner and my kitchen and bathrooms are gorgeous! I am so happy that I found Fine Design Home Remodeling. I recommend that you call for an estimate on your project, meet Patty and see what great ideas she has. Working with her will be a happy, rewarding experience.

I called a couple different companies for estimates. Most were very expensive and could not meet my due date. Patty's estimate was the lowest, and she stated the shower could be completed my my due date. What was in the shower needed to be removed, as the previous home owner did not put the correct wall board in the shower. The mud pan needed to be poured, new cement board, new liner - The tile is gorgeous and the workmanship impeccable! Andres and Vlad spent many long nights at our home working in-between other jobs to ensure out timeline was met. They added extra touches that really made the shower stand out as a custom, beautiful piece of work! Our deadline was met, and our expectations were far exceeded!! Beautiful work, extremely kind and considerate tile masters!

They started on a Friday at 8 am with the rip out of both bathrooms, and plumbing supplies were delivered. They only left the back shower and toilet so we could still would be able to function. The following Monday the new soak tub and valve was installed. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday the new sheet rock and painting was accomplished.was installed. Friday the front bathroom was tiled. He did work into the night till about 10, due to where he needed to be done to finish the next day. Saturday and Monday the tiling was completed in the front bathroom. Tuesday the cabinets were installed in both bathrooms, with countertops. Wednesday the master shower was riped out, and the plumbing for the master valve, main toilets and faucets installed. Thursday the shower door in the main was installed, and the tile was started in the master, completing on the following Monday. On Tuesday the plumbling in the master was complete. The shower door was also installed. On Wednesday, they came back and completed clean up and any finish work that needed to be complete.

Patty's bid was significantly higher than the next highest bid, so we went with a more moderately priced contractor.

Working with Patty and her crew was so very easy! She did an excellent job of outlining the work to be done. Then we met her at the design center where she presented us with her ideas, giving us the opportunity to alter the choices more to our liking (although we pretty much went with her choices, as they were gorgeous!). She understood completely what it was we were trying to achieve. Work started soon after and finished within a couple days of the original schedule. Everyone was very professional, friendly and obviously knew their craft. The room is so beautiful! We love it!

Overall my experience was smooth and pleasant. I had redone the kitchen in my prior home several years ago using a different contractor that was a nightmare. Patty was available for me through the whole process.

I would highly recommend Fine Design for interior remodeling for any interior remodel project! All of their work was of high quality and the project was finished on time and under budget. Her company matched the new sheet rock and newly textured walls with the existing sheet rocked walls perfectly. It was seamless. I am very happy with the fit and finish of all the work they performed. Patty was easy to work with and very thorough in her work. She regularly checked on the work of her subcontractors and made sure everything was going smoothly. She helped us choose the colors and materials, and that was also very helpful. We often get compliments when people come in our office on how it looks. We owe that to Patty!

Overall we had a great experience with Patty Mattes and the Fine Design team who did our bathroom remodel. Patty was very good about meeting with us and helping us to realize what we were looking for, as we were a little unsure in the beginning. She met with us several times and gave us many ideas/options on materials and overall design without pressuring us to make any decisions until we were ready. I would highly recommend Patty and her team as it was a very easy and pleasant working experience!

Patty seemed thorough in the beginning but she measured the amount of wood wrong so I had to take off time from work 3 times to get more wood. These two are great Her marble work guy Vlad did beautiful work. Her wood installer Clayton also did a nice job. Her dry wall/paint/wood refinisher did poor quality work. Why I would not rehire her. Patty did not inspect her subs work before asking me to drive down and do inspections. As a result I spent more time on the project than I might have if I had hired subs myself. In the end I was so frustrated that I paid her and told her to stop work. The contract was tightly worded but unclear. So for example when she referred to a general area such as the down stairs and a sub area within that such as under the stairs the words repair and paint only referred to the sub area and not the room as I had thought. There were over a dozen things that she asked me about when we did the first walk through that I though she planned to do but she did not do. Hers was the highest bid. I paid her 45% more to do the work because I thought she would be more thorough. In fact she did less.

Patty came out to look at the bathroom and to find out what we wanted. She then put together a suggested plan with samples of tiles for us to choose from, the countertop sample, suggested fixtures, mirrors, toilet, sinks and cabinet options. Most of the suggestions sounded good to us and we chose from her suggestions.. We wanted to change the shower tile and she worked with us to find what we wanted. She has a great eye for color and design detail and how it will all look together, and that was invaluable to us in this project. For example, she helped us come up with a glass and stone diamond deco design that really highlights the tiles in the shower and a complementary glass and stone design inset in the backsplash on the countertop. Throughout the project, Patty kept us posted as to who was coming when. All of the workers seemed compitent and cleaned up the area each day when they were done working. The project was completed according to schedule and was finished ahead of when she projected it to be done. The price of the project was more than our other bids, but we got a selection of materials that looked very good with each other and design expertise not offered by the other contractors, which we felt was worth the money and resulted in a superior look. We are thoroughly enjoying our new bathroom. It looks great--so much nicer than what we started with. It's hard to believe it is the same room.

She was very professional and had a positive attitude. She offer a fair bid for the work.

The job went extremely well from our first appointment when Patty talked with us got our likes and dislikes and measured the room. The next meeting was 4 days later and she brought out a design, estimate and samples of the products she planned on using. We liked all her choices and contracted her to do our project. The project began about 3 weeks later. We were provided a time schedule outling the work to be done and the name of who was doing it. She informed us of any changes along the way so there was no surprises. Patty was on location often and approved the completion of each step. At the end of the project Patty met with us to confirm we were satisfied...which we were.

The entire job went very very well outstand workmanship no problems with any aspect of the job Patty and her crew preformed an outstanding job of scheduling and completing work on time with NO delays Will definitely use again.

We had a bathroom remodel done using Fine Design Interor Remodeling it was so enjoyable we decided to use Patty again when we had a water leak upstairs that damaged the floors . The workers were fast and efficient , friendly and kept our home very neat and clean while remodeling. Patty was very pleasent to work with and had very creative ideas, while also listening to our needs and wants. We are so pleased that any future remodeling we will be giving Patty a call.

This was our first experience with a home remodel and we are very satisfied. Patty was very helpful in planning, answering all our questions, etc. She and her team did an exceptional job with great attention to detail. We have textured walls in our bathroom. The demo team was very careful to keep the surrounding walls and floor tile in tact. We had absolutely no problems there. The tile work is exquisite, and the glass looks fabulous. Everyone at Fine Design was professional, friendly, prompt and most importantly did quality work. We will definitely be using Fine Design in the future. Thank you Patty!
