DK Professional Painting

OUTSTANDING experience overall. David came by and estimated the project a couple weeks prior to the "painting day". He suggested a 3rd painter in addition to the 2 provided by this Angie's List deal; which I authorized the additional amount. I got an email the day prior to my appointment from Kristi that detailed the names of the painters so I would know who to expect. That next morning, William, Miguel and Israel arrived early and got to work immediately. Very friendly and answered every question I had while they painted. They protected every inch of every cabinet, piece of furniture and floor I had to prevent any paint from getting on it. I didn't even know they had pieces of plastic that big...lol. They finished in the estimated 8 hours David quoted and cleaned up completely prior to leaving. My wife and I are extremely happy and WILL be using DK Professional Painting for all our painting needs.

The workers arrived exactly on time and got to work immediately. They did excellent work, were courteous and had infinite patience with my questions and interruptions. I will recommend them to others and wouldn't hesitate to hire them again. I was completely satisfied.

My husband and I recently put our house on the market and felt it needed a 'move-in' ready feel so we decided to hire professional painters to do the job. Also we had two minor holes in the wall that needed repair and to be patched properly. We chose DK Professional Painting and are so glad we did. When I initially called and spoke with David he gave me an accurate and reasonable quote over the phone and said he could start as early as the coming weekend. David and his crew were actually able to come out a couple days earlier and start the job. And what a fantastic job they did! Took only two days to paint our 1944 sqft home to include patching the minor holes, prepping and also painting the ceiling. They also did such a great job with clean up you would never have known they were there. My husband and I are so very pleased with the job they did we are going to use them again to pain the exterior of our new home. Everyone at DK Professional Painting was courteous, professional, expeditious and incredibly friendly. I would definitely recommend their services to anyone needing quality work at a very reasonable price. Not to mention the efficiency with which they work. Great company!

DK Professional Painting came to our house to give us an estimate on new interior painting which included trim and doors to complete our remodel. The scope of the project was big and the estimate was extremely reasonable for the work to be performed. We were going to utilize their services, but due to circumstances beyond our control we had to go a different route. For our future projects that include painting, we would have no problem hiring DK for their painting expertise.

When William and Doug left for the day, the only sign that they had been there were the beautifully painted ceilings and walls and the fact that the carpets were cleaner than before the painting started I have David coming by soon to give me an estimate on some additional interior work and on the exterior paint job we need. I highly recommend DK Professional Painting.

Total of three days -- two painting and one re-installing cabinet doors. Each day they were on time and left things orderly upon departure. They put in some really long days (8 am - 8 pm), which we did not mind. If that is an issue with you, then you will need to set a work time frame. If there were any questions, concerns they asked before doing. David, the owner, was professional and very flexible. William, the lead, on the first paint day was most helpful regarding the portion of cabinet that needed fixing due to new countertop installation. He remembered everything communicated regarding the cabinet hardware. the only downside of the entire project was the paint dust from spraying the cabinets in 4 rooms. Everything was tented, but it was impossible to prevent dust from going everywhere. Oh well, it gave me reason to really deep clean my entire house! Win-win situation on that one. Upon leaving the last day asked David for an estimate to paint the outside of the house. So will definitely consider DK Professional Painting for that project --once we decide to do it.

Service, price, quality of work, and professionalism FAR exceeded my expectations. DK Painting went above and beyond to work within my time and budget constraints. David as well as the crew were exceptionally knowledgable about their craft, so much to the extent of saving me time and money. My family will be relocating to California shortly and are in the process of getting our house rent-ready. I initially purchased an angieslist coupon from DK Painting for $549 for a 2-person 8-hour service. David and I spoke extensively several times before his team came out to inform me of my options. He advised me to go with a one-color neutral palette (we went with Sherwin Williams Versatile Gray; a beautiful "greige"); as the amount of time to apply one tone to walls and ceilings would be half of that had I gone with white ceilings and colored walls (ultimately saving me money). Additionally I was able to purchase the paint myself (again, cut the cost of having DK provide the paint) through his account with Sherwin Williams, saving me money per gallon (which was still cheaper than Behr/Home Depot combined with my military discount) . The 3-man crew was able to get the job done in a mere 9 hours; no easy feat considering they had to apply two coats plus kitchen, stairwell and ceilings. And it looked fantastic! Hands down the best $1000 I've ever spent. I will not even think twice about using their services again. I strongly recommend DK Painting.

Very happy with them. They came when they promised, they completed the job when they promised and the work they did was great. I have no trouble recommending them to anyone and plan to use them again soon

William and Julio arrived right at 8, got started with the prep work. They were very professional, and clean. I felt comfortable leaving them to the painting while I went to work. They left the closets and the bathroom very clean. I felt they did a great job, and will definitely use DK professional painting again in the future.

This was a great experience! The two painters had left time for traffic, so they actually arrived early and had to wait for me to start the work. They had great attitudes, worked hard, and got a lot more done than I hoped. My goal was to get the ceilings done, but they were also able to get started on my bathroom walls, and 1 tall, difficult-to-reach accent wall was also completed.

Called them for the Big Deal and they came right out and, although the job was more than a day, they were quick to come back out and finish. Attention to detail is important and they were great, I had my carpet installed and the carpet installers scratched up the wall so I am calling them back out for some touch ups!

In addition to my descriptions above, David always made himself available to me every time I had a question or concern. The house is going to be listed for sale, and the realtor raised a couple of concerns. David always answered me right away, and was very accomodating when asked to do extras - at a minimal cost. He and his crew were delightful to work with! I would definitely hire them again!

Dave arrived promptly at arranged time with 2 painters and reviewed work to be performed. They got to work and painted my family room, entry, and hall. All had vaulted ceilings. They painted 2 coats and cleaned up thoroughly when they were done. I was completely satisfied with their work and would definitely hire them again.

We hired David to paint the outside of my house in the summer. He did such an outstanding job we hired him to do the inside of our home. We left for about 5 days so he could get the ceiling and cabinets done. We came back and the rest of the house was finished. It was a huge job so the house was upside down for about 2 weeks. The crew was so nice and funny it actually was fun. They really cared about what they were doing. They worked as a great team. Our house turned out perfect. The cabinets were ugly golden oak. David painted them off white with distressing. They are absolutely gorgeous. We have since had more work done to our home. We had our floors redone and a back splash put in the kitchen. The other companies crew and actually the owners wanted to know who did our cabinets. They told us they were done extremely well. David works with his wife and a small crew. We felt very safe giving them a key to our home while we were off vacationing. That's a good feeling knowing that the work will be done and our house will be locked up and well cared for. After the flooring was put down the moulding took a little abuse. I called David and he came out and touched it up free. We will be hiring him to paint our fence this spring and to power wash our driveway and walks each year. We will be selling our house in about 4 years. We are going to hire David to spruce it up so it will sell well. We could not be more please with David and his crew. We highly recommend they to you.

I needed to have an open concept living/dining and hall space painted- including some very high ceilings. David was able to start work just a few days after giving us a quote and the job was done in a single day using a team of 4 painters and exactly on budget. I'm very happy with the cost and the quality of the work and would definitely recommend DK Professional Painting.

I called to schedule the work and it was promptly scheduled. In fact, they were able to accommodate my tight schedule and work it in within the week. Two painters arrived on time and completed everything in two days. It was a vacant condo, so there wasn't any furniture to deal with, but even so, the work was neat, they taped and covered appropriately. The only minor issue was they estimated a little high on the amount of paint needed, so I ended up with more leftover than intended. Not really a huge problem though, as I can use it next time around. (It's a rental unit.)

DK will definitely be back! I was gone when he did it - you would never know they were here!

Overall experience was great, Kristen arrived just a few minutes early and William a bit late; though he stayed later to compensate, which was fine on this particular day. Once both painters were here, they assessed the areas needing painting asked about patch areas sorted the colors for each area and got right to work. Both were pleasant and professional - definitely knew their trade! The owner called the following day to ask how things went; very nice!. Will absolutely call on DK Professional Painting again.

Responded to initial call immediately, Was able to paint within two days. Showed up on time and finished quickly. Did the job for quoted amount. Very nice professional paint job.

They went the extra mile to make me happy!!

I was in a very small time frame to get everything I needed done on a house I just bought. I also wanted the work to be done properly and professionally. I contacted several painters and two could meet my time restrictions. I picked DK Professionals to do the job and I was delighted with the end results. Not only are the several colors I chose perfect, but they were clean and neat. They left the place when they were finished completely cleaned up. They were extremely professional. Came in at their quote and even did a few extras for me without charging me. I will definately use them again if I need anything else painted and that will include the outside of the house as well.

This job was a success. They exceeded my expectations. In the summer, call early and get on their schedule. I had no problems giving them a key and turning them loose. The interior was painted in two and a half days. That includes the touch up after tape was removed and I got to do a walk through. Absolutely fantastic and speedy completion of interior paint. They even had to work around the drywall repair guy who slowed them down. Which leads to the only real problem in this job - me. I originally told them to paint inside then outside. I switched the order I wanted and didn't tell them. They had the inside done so quickly, I was slowing them down. Score one for DK Pro Painting. When doing the outside they used the colors I gave them. They sprayed the front and side of the house and contacted me to ask me if that was what I really wanted. Upon seeing this particular shade of green on the house, the particular shade of green normally found in residence in baby diapers, I said absolutely not. They worked with me, including a trip to another house to get the right color sample. I only had to pay for the paint and labor I wasted. They were back at it the next day fixing my color faux paux (Give me a break, I'm a man.) Score two for DK Pro Painting. All of the paint that was sprayed on the exterior surfaces was back rolled to give a nice smooth and protective coat. All of the color lines between the window frames, window trim and main body were very crisp and clean. The neighbors were stopping before the job was done to comment on how great it looked. I probably generated about $1500 worth of inefficiency, so the price was spot on. I walked through the exterior with the work foreman and was contacted by the owner to insure I was happy with the job. DK Professional Painting was extremely professional. They do a top notch professional job. They were within my price point bracket and exceeded my expectations with their quality and speed of service. Highly recommended. If you want a truly professional paint job, call these guys!

I was extremely pleased with all aspects of working with DK Professional. David's response was quick from getting me an appraisal to job completion. He was up front with me from beginning to end and told me that it would be three weeks before he could get to my house. However, he was able to get to my house and paint the interior in two weeks instead of the three. The job was done in two days to include the touch up. I was very impressed with the quality of his work. I was going to have him just touch up some of the floor molding while painting the walls to save myself money, but he went the extra mile and painted all the moldings, even with off setting the color of the floor moldings, at no additional charge. I was going to have David paint just the main rooms and I was going to paint the rest myself to save money, but after seeing his quality of work, I then had David paint the remaining rooms in the house. He gave me a very fair price for the remaining rooms. I was extremely impressed with David's professional ethics, his quality of work, and his promptness. He gave a very fair price for the job and did some extra touches at no charge to ensure that I was pleased with the job. I would highly recommend DK Professional for any job.

My neighbors found David. My house was in need of painting so we joined in. David did a great job on the other neighbors houses. My husband and I took a deep breath of relief and knew our house was going to look great. We have siding with issues so David told us satin paint would help with the condition. He was right because the house looks amazing with the satin paint. David is one hard worker. He starts early and stays on task. Rain was an issue. Every nice day he was out working. It took about 3 days total. He's not a big talker which I like. He tells you what he thinks without any hesitation. At first his directness took me back but as I saw him work on the other neighbors house I saw that he is a worker not a talker so I became comfortable with his get to the point personality. We will be using him in the winter to paint the interior of our house. I highly recommend DK Professional Painting.

We interviewed David to determine the best course of action. Since all of our sliding panel closet doors were new and in good shape, David suggested we match that color for the rest of the mill work. Very good idea. Saved us some additional expense. David explained what paint he uses and why. We decided to take a vacation while the painting was in progress. We trusted David with a key to our house. The job took about four days. David had our phone number in case of any problems. There were none. We came home to a lovely finished job.
