DK Professional Painting

He was going to be late and he called to let us know about the delay. He was very apologetic but I assured him that the fact that he actually called made it not matter. He came in with a bid which was very close to the contractor we did chose to do our home. The only reason we didn't have DK do the painting is because the other painter gave us a little more detail on why and what he would be doing. I am sure that DK would have been equally as competent though.

I used DK Professional last year to paint the upstairs area of our house from an Angie's List special offer and was impressed enough to have them back to do the additional work on the stairs and downstairs bathroom at their regular rates. I would definitely recommend DK Professional Painting.

They were very professional in their work and demeanor, and extremely helpful when I had to reschedule the start of the project when my father passed away the day before the crew was set to start the prep work. Not only would I use them again, I did use them again to refresh the walls and ceilings downstairs.

They did a very nice job of painting our bedrooms and bathrooms. They were very punctual and worked steadily. They were good about communicating their plans and their progress. We are pleased with the results.

They were awesome. They were professional. He came the first day and he got the guides lined out and then the next day, one guy was doing particularly good on the doors and molding. The next day, another lady came instead of him. I offered them water and things like that, they said that they were on their own and they were working.

I think we are going to hire them but we haven’t done it yet. So far, I haven’t had a problem with them. We chose them because they have good price. The price was lower than most of the quotes I got.

The fellas from DK Pro Painting arrived as scheduled and on time. They explained what they would be needing (maybe more paint) and set to work. The work was completed in the time allotted, painting a combination living space, kitchen, dining nook, hallway and two bedrooms. A big shout out to Izzy the 49'ers fan for the great job painting near Seahawk colors without so much as a whimper....I searched high and low and did not find were Izzy tagged anywhere with 9'ers anything,,,thanks again DK Pro's...

These guys were outstanding! Very professional and they did an even better job than I expected.

Very professional, punctual. Found the business on Angie's List with fantastic references. However, we chose a different contractor due to price and other work we needed done in our home. Recommended DK Professional Painting to a neighbor who had them paint interior rooms and wood trim around windows in their home and they were pleased with the service. I would call them again for a bid.

They have done work inside my house for painting-interior. He did a great job and he is very contentious. I had them paint the interior doors. He gave me a fabulous bid for 30 doors. They did this all in one day too. I have not had any problems and they have been great to work with. The doors look great and there has been no chipping due to the paint that he uses. There are no drips or runs either. They look like brand new doors!

They responded same day, and came out the next day to quote the job. The owner came in person and quoted me on the spot, including patching and painting. It wasn't the drop-dead cheapest price, but a good deal. The key being their ability to complete the job that weekend -- I was turning a rental unit. They scheduled the job for a few days later and finished quickly. The quality was good, especially considering how quickly they got it done. I was invoiced in a timely manner as well. Overall, very good experience.

David was very helpful with color selection and suggestions. He was prompt and always responded quickly to any questions we had. The men that came to paint arrived on time and they were careful to cover bushes etc. to protect them during the painting. The painting was able to be completed in one day. We agreed the garage door would be painted at a later date because I needed to check on a possible repair to the door. We have been in contact to finish door. It will be done as soon as the weather is dry enough. We were very happy with the whole job and we would definitely recommend them and use them again. It was nice to find such a quality company to deal with.

I haven't put the bid out there yet. The most important thing for me was their response within two or three days and they have done that.

The painting started when they said it would. They did not try to paint in the rain. The staff were very cordial and professional. Their professionalism is shown in the work that they performed and the finished product. When they were here, everybody did their assigned tasks. The house looks wonderful! I have received compliments on it already. They did not leave a mess, and I appreciate that, also.

DK Professional Painting showed up on time and did a fantastic job painting three bedrooms. They were professional from start to finish.

The painting job took about 2 days. We discussed various trim paint options. We were fortunate to have Dave's experience with different paint/trim combinations. First every thing was taped and masked. Then the spraying began with back rolling/brushing following the spray application. The second day included trim painting and some priming, touch up, and clean up. We did a final walk around and found no discrepancies. Clean up was accomplished and nothing was missed or left behind. The house looks beautiful.

He did come out and do an estimate for us. Very professional. I think they would have done a great job. We ended up going with a lower bid though. So we didn't use them. I'm sure they would have been a fine company because of their professionalism. And their knowledge seemed to be very thorough. It was pretty quick after I researched them that I contacted them. It was definitely higher than the bid we went with. Everybody is looking for a deal so if you can get a better price, if you feel you are going to get the same quality you are going to go with the lower bid. Like I said, very professional, very knowledgeable, I would have gone with them except we found a lower price. I thought they would have done a fine job for sure.

Responded promptly I had my estimate within a few days of my initial email. Very knowledgable answered all questions gave recommendations. David was very through and easy to communicate with. Upon receiving three written quotes I chose DK Painting. The crew (same 3-4 each day) were always on time, they worked very efficiently and seemed to enjoy their profession all were very respectful and polite. The job took 4 days and they cleaned up at the end of each day so we could function in our home. The quality of their work was exceptional . I will use them in the future when I need exterior painting.

Coordinated a bid with DK for the inlaw's house and was all set to go with them, when family health issues pulled my inlaws away to AZ to care for their daughter. Told DK we won't be going with them as the unexpected trip expenses ate up most of the dollars available for painting. They sympathized with us and were totally cool with cancelling the job, even went a further step and said if my wife and son wanted to paint their house they'd buy the paint for us at their discounted price. We took them up on their offer and saved a bunch of money and my family was able to paint their home for them. I'm not sure how you vote for All Star on Angie's List but DK is certainly qualified to receive it. What an awesome company. They will be the first people we call and recommend for the next paint job.

They did an excellent job at a great price. We needed to have the popcorn from the ceiling removed before painting. They did a great job of not nicking or gouging the ceiling while removing the popcorn texture. The ceiling looked fantastic when they were done. They did a good job of taping where needed and removing wall plates and curtains, etc. Also they were accommodative to our personal situation (my mother was in intensive care at the local hospital) that required them to juggle their schedule to fit us in. I appreciated their friendliness and also that they were sympathetic during a stressful time in my life.

The crew was very professional and timely. They did an excellent job on the prep work and paint. After finishing the job they did another visual to ensure their work met our expectations.The clean up was so good you would not have thought there were workers in the house.

When we first met David at the home show, he seemed very genuine. When he came and gave us an estimate, it was in our budget range. When I saw on Angie's list, they gave a senior discount, I e-mailed Dave and asked if he could apply it. He discounted it immediately. They power washed our house about two weeks before painting. They sent a four person crew to paint our home and shed in one day. The painters showed up on time and gave us an estimate of how the process would work and how long it would take.. They were extremely courteous and answered all our questions patiently. They worked around me when I left the house for a few hours, and were quite cheerful about it. They didn't want to inconvenience me in the least.. Dave came to our house at the end of the day to personally check how the paint job went. He advised us that if we noticed anything not right, to notify him. Our house looks so bright and nice! We definately would use his company again.

We had DK Painting come to Gig Harbor from Tacoma and paint our entire interior of newly purchased condo. The previous owners had painted every surface tuscan orange. The condo ceilings, doors, woodwork and walls were painted the tuscan orange (including light plates, light's with round trim and speakers. The condo was 1150 sq. feet. We met with DK Painting from Angie's List and hired them. We had 4 bids from other companies. We currently live in Portland and wanted the work done in Gig Harbor where we will eventually reside. They would have complete access to our condo without our presence. We felt confident and checked references off Angie's List. They brought a team of 4 in and accomplished the job in 4-5 days. We could not be happier. It looked fabulous and could not believe the transformation. Amazing. Everything was put back in place, carpet clean and was informed along the way how the project was coming. We would recommend D K Painting to anyone that wants a professional painting company. The woodward from tuscan orange to white linen was amazing. Doors, window frames, all baseboard trim. David Rice headed the project and was knowlegeable, professional and easy to work with.
