DK Professional Painting

When David came in to conduct his bid he was on time and extremely professional. I had already received two other bids and while they were good too David set himself apart with the price, professionalism, knowledge and ability. When talking about the contract I informed David I did not like subcontracted work and he assured me that he would not use them, he even wrote it into my bid and contract to make sure I knew he keep his word. After I accepted the bid, it did take some time for the team to start, but it was understandable, being that I was having the house painted during the busiest time of the year. Once the team was able to start David came in and did a very thorough power wash. This ground work set up base for the painting team. William was the foreman for the painting crew and was very punctual, professional, and knowledgeable. They worked very quickly in preparing the house and paid a great attention to detail when prepping and moving into the painting. They filled all the cracks in the house that they could find, sanded, and prepped. The crew made sure to make the prep stage the most important to make sure the painting stage would go smoothly and quickly. Once painting they worked all day and did not loaf or make excuses, they were all business. Even at the end and even after they had painted a whole section of the front of the house I decided that the house needed and accent color. William easily adjusted to the new work order and change in the scope of work. There was no complaining or excuses even though I did leave it close to the last day of painting. The crew quickly adjusted picked up the new paint and worked back over what they had already done. It came out wonderfully. The house looks great, and the crew were very respectful of the property and were mindful of working hard and getting the job done. Paint job was sprayed on, so it just didn't have a finished quality that other paint company had.

They first covered everything for yards around that might possibly have gotten paint splattered on. They hand painted all of the really hard to get at stuff both before and after spray painting. Those guys hand painted places I never in my life would've thought to paint. When they were done they removed all traces of themselves before they left, aside from the freshly painted eaves and such. They were in and out of our drive in less than 8 hours. Enormously impressive work. And extremely friendly, even to the old guy who initially had the idea that he needed to supervise. The very epitome of professionalism.

Overall, DK Professional Painting did a fabulous job. They arrived and were ready to start @ 8am. Rolando & Lorraine were very polite. They took extra care to ensure they covered all walking areas and vacuumed the room and walking areas after painting. The quality of the work was excellent and I'd highly recommend DK in the future. I purchased the $599 deal for 2 painters for 8 hours + taxes for a total cost of approximately $650. In less than 8 hours they were able to setup, paint approx. 850 sq ft x 2 coats and clean-up.

pretty much never painted the interior walls since home was built 20 years ago. needless to say with 7 children the walls and ceilings were in bad shape. they did minor drywall and hole repair. I was satisfied with their work and quality. they spent a lot of time just prepping the site. we made it easy on them through as the house is completely vacant. I'd use them again

Painters came to the house on time, did the exact scope of work in a manner that exceeded my expectations, worked very efficiently, kept a clean work environment, finished on time, had no surprise charges, and left a finished product that was excellent. Could you ask for better? I can't.

I am very unsatisfied with the quality of the work. The edges around windows, molding, and edges where the color changes are all very uneven. Instead of removing the fixture for our central air they painted around it, getting paint on the fixture itself (even though in the contract it said that they would remove fixtures prior to painting). In the upstairs of the house we elected to have only the walls painted as the ceilings looked fine. This however apparently meant that they would not do the minor drywall repair (promised in the contract) at the very top of the walls. Instead of alerting me that they would not be repairing this area, they simply painted over peeling drywall. I called the owner to make him aware of the issues we had noticed and he agreed via email that the quality was not up to industry standards and offered to come correct it. This is the part of the transaction that troubled me the most. Instead of removing the paint from the Central air fixture, they ran knife around it so that it was no longer painted in, but now the paint is cracked and peeling along the edges. They did the same thing on the upper wall where the drywall paper was peeling and it looks much worse than if they had just left it alone. They did do pretty good job at correcting the uneven edges but spilled green paint on my carpet, attempted to clean it up, leaving a very obvious green stain and not even mentioning it to me. We asked for a partial refund and they felt that it wasn't appropriate. The owner did give my husband and I a gift card, which would have been a nice gesture if they had completely corrected the issues. All in all, the quality of the work looks on par with work done by first time home painters.

Really want to thank David for his estimate. We were late to meet him for the estimate appointment. He called and waited but had to leave before we got to our rental home. He turned around to come back for our estimate. The estimate price is reasonable, we need to wait a bit on this interior paint job and will contact him when we need it done.

They arrived on time every day. They were exceptionally clean in their work and kept all drywall dust and texture out of the rest of the house. They removed all debris and cleaned up after themselves. They were very detail oriented. The finished product is beautiful. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing painting services.

The DK Painting team was absolutely fantastic. The owner was incredibly responsive, and I could always reach him on his cell phone if I had questions. They came with a crew of men who carefully taped off and protected all our floors and cabinets, removed all the doors and power plates, and completely protected all of our furniture and floors. They worked very hard and completed our house in 7 days. These guys worked non-stop, 8 am-7 pm, 7 days a week, to get the work done quickly and have us move back in. They were such hard workers and had a great attention to detail. They even put up stripes in our living room, which was really detailed work, and looks incredible. Quite frankly there are not enough superlatives to explain how wonderful they were. Our house is completely transformed. The best part of a review I can leave is that we have already recommended them to friends and co-workers who have used them and are also incredibly pleased with the work.

The painting seemed to go OK, although it was a cool day, so it took longer than usual for the paint to dry to apply two coats. As a result, I paid additional over the Big Deal price. After they were done I discovered that the buckets and brushes had been cleaned outside, spattering paint on the house. I called and the owner promptly sent one of the workers back to fix the problem, saying that this problem had not happened before. He used a green scrubbing pad to try to remove the paint, but that took off the original house paint. He had to repaint the portion of the house that had been damaged in the clean up. Later I also discovered a long drip on the back of one of the bedroom doors. The extra work involved in remedying the clean up led to the rating given.

They were timely, polite, and did a professional job beyond our expectations. They somehow misplaced four of our electrical plug covers. We told them not to worry about it, that it was a small thing. Nothing doing. They went to Home Depot after a long, hard day of work and returned with replacement covers. They cleaned up after themselves, and even swept up dust bunnies under the bed. They left us a few gallons of paint for future touch-up needs.

It was great. They were very professional. Everything was put into writing once and twice so there was no estimate. The price was definitely got done. The price they quoted me was the price we paid. They got it done in a very short order.

We had a daunting mess on our hands after our renters moved out of this formerly cute and quaint home in Tacoma. The renters must have sat in the house and done nothing but smoked for 7 years. Dripping brown crud ran down every wall. The entire house was an overwhelming disaster. David and his crew literally saved the day. They were able to repair an area of damage, then spray a coat of oil based primer over the entire interior of the house; followed up with another coat or two of paint and the house was transformed. Everyone was prompt, honest, friendly, and professional. These guys are the best. They are good which means they are busy.

I had used DK professional painting a year ago to paint a condominium unit and they did a great job. I had gotten their name through Angie's List. What better way to endorse them than to use them again on a new painting job. Again, they were prompt, careful, respectful of the home, did a great job and good cleanup afterwards. Price was exactly as quoted. I supplied the paint. What I particularly liked is that all fixtures and wall plates were removed, doors removed, rather than just masking and hoping paint did not get onto switch cover plates, door edges, etc.

I obtained the paint in sufficient volume. They showed up on time, were very professional, careful, painted in a professional manner (fixtures and wall plates removed, etc). Their cleanup and disposal was complete and satisfactory to me. I am looking to hire them again in the future.

I contacted David Rice a month ago to paint the interior of my house after my tenants had vacated. He asked if his crew could come in a few days early since it looked like rain on Friday, which sure enough it did. The guys showed up bright and early at 6:30 AM and had it knocked out by 5PM.It turned out great both in quality and timing. They painted Kilim Beige top to bottom, walls and ceilings and it turned out great. They did a really good job at taping and covering carpets and fixtures. His crew were really nice guys and professional. I would strongly recommend them in the future.

DK Professional Painting was the lowest of the bids I received, beating out the highest bidder by about 25%. They were always very quick in responding; first when I requested a bid and after accepting their proposal, when I had questions or wanted clarification about the work or schedule. They kept me well informed throughout the entire process and were always on time for their scheduled work. The work crew was courteous, professional and did an excellent job repainting the exterior of my home (two coats on the siding and trim in just two days.) They were very careful to protect my house perimeter plantings, clear wood decks, and concrete walk and drive. They cleaned up their work areas after each day and removed all trash. I couldn't be happier with the final result, and highly recommend DK Professional Painting.

Extremely well. I was contact about a week before the painting occured (5/12/2014) to wash the house and then, he called me on Sunday 5/11/2014 to let me know they would be out first thing Monday morning to start! I was estacticed. I showed up home from work that evening and they where 80% complete. The employees all on the site were very cool and helpful, and asked me some questions on some areas that had in concern, like paining the garage doors, they masked it off cause the were note sure. I Informed them to paint them, and they did with no question. I would absolutely call these guys in the future for other work, and will put in a good word with friends and family to use them!
