Commercial & Residential Glass - Install, Repair, & Service
From the time we initially contacted Issaquah Glass to the time the glass windows were installed took less than four weeks. We are very happy with their competitive price, quality, service and professionalism.
Description of Work: After 20 years our wood wrapped windows needed replacing. Due to the high cost for total window replacement we opted to replace the glass only. Issaquah Glass was competitive and provided a quality product. Would highly recommend the company.

They were great. It was pretty pricey but I think it is any time you replace a picture window. The people that came were great and they did a great job. They were very punctual and they did a good job.

After giving Issaquah Glass our deposit, we didn't hear from them for two months and then, all of a sudden, they said that our windows were in and that they would be replacing and fixing everything on June 30th. They did come out on the 30th and replace the window glass, but they were not able to fix our sliding glass door. So, they took another $600 deposit and said that they would order us a new door, which should arrive in late July or early August. We did not hear from them after that, so my wife called them in late August to see what the status of our sliding glass door was. She was told that the person that was handling our order was out to lunch, but would call her right back. We did not get a return call, so my wife called that afternoon, she was told that they were busy and would call back, so she called back the following morning, was told that they were busy and would call back, so she called back, and so on for the next few days. Finally, a message was left by Tim that the door was never ordered because their company was having issues with Milgard due to the economy, but he would order our door now. Tim also said that he would call us back the following day with the status of our door. Of course, we did not get a call, so my wife called back the next morning. Tim told her that he would run to his desk and call her right back. Again, no call back. So my wife called and asked to have our money refunded. We'll see if that happens...

We obtained estimates from three companies. They all came in at about the same price. It struck us as a lot to replace a single window that is about 15 x 25 inches but they all said the same thing so we assumed that was the market price. Rick came on time and replaced the glass. However, he put a gouge (about 10 inches long with big sliver of wood gone) in the external window frame that is hard to see from the inside, but really shouldn't have occurred. We didn't call him on it since the damage was already done.
Description of Work: A small upstairs window was replaced in a hall connecting the main part of the house to above the garage. It would be very difficult to access from outdoors due to a roof ledge sticking out about 10 feet so they would have had to do a ladder to the second floor and then hang on a sloping roof. He came and replaced the window from the inside (previous one had cracked and shattered when a bird hit it) with no comments from him about any problems. He left when the window was completed.

The interaction with Issaquah Glass went very smoothly from start to finish. They provided a free estimate very promptly, accuratly indicated expected lead time, and had the parts ready right on time. They charged exactly as estimated and performed their work very professionally. All staff - the estimator, the field guy, the scheduler, and the installers - were friendly and helpful.

I am very disappointed in the service provided by Issaquah Glass. Our back door was shattered by our landscaper so our home owner's association worked with the landscaper company who then worked with Issaquah Glass. After 3 weeks or so with a broken door, I finally contacted Issaquah Glass to see when the door was going to be repaired. During this time, I was never contacted by the company telling me why there was a delay. When I called, I was told that the door could be replaced that day. Funny how no one called sooner! During the install, the door was tapped up and carried through my house. It would have been safer to take the door out back to their truck without carrying it through my house. I have 2 small kids so the fact a door with small pieces of glass was carried through my house upset me. In addition, upon the installation, the bracket that held our blinds up was broken. We were told that "you can get another one at Lowe's". This upsets me. You broke it, you should fix it! They also left several pieces of glass on my deck. Again, with tiny children in the house, really upsets me. I contacted Issaquah Glass with my concerns and was told they would get back to me to remedy the situation. Needless to say, I am still waiting for that return call. I am not a happy customer. Poor customer service and lack of attention to detail.

Although the replacement glass had to be ordered - and that took a few weeks, they scheduled a repair date - and our window was repaired as soon as it was received. The price was reasonable - and service was excellent. I would recommend them to anyone - great people.

Issaquah glass provided all materials and installation for a large bathroom mirror and glass shower surround for our steam shower. They were very professional and the workmanship on both the fabrication and installation were excellent. They came out to our house before fabricating and did a site measurement for no extra charge to make sure that everything was perfect.

A very frustrating experience of failed promises and not met deadlines and contacts not returned. Windows still not installed one month later.
Description of Work: Called for an estimate. Tech who came was unpersonable at best, rude at worst. Left with no word re when I would get estimate and left no paperwork. Had to call and e-mail several times to get estimate. Then it was a lump sum figure. More delay/haggles to get an itemized estimate. Was dealing with Tim, the head of the company. I decided just to do the failed windows on their previous 10 year warranty. Was told on 8/26 that it would take about 7 days to order glass. STILL have not had a reply to my many calls and e-mails re when the glass will be in and they can install it. Previous dealings 5-10-15 years ago were satisfactory. What has gone wrong??!! Suspect foot-dragging because windows failed are covered by warranty.

I only had one problem with Issaquah Glass. The gentleman who came out to measure and give me the estimate missed an entire window that I thought was included in the estimate. So I had to purchase the window separately from the rest of the project. I will give them some credit though, because the window was originally eight hundred dollars and they gave it to me at cost for five hundred. The crew who came out was good and they made sure to clean up after themselves.
