Description of Work: Beware of this company. Its people are eager to win trust, then insist very aggressively that they must begin digging immediately to repair a damaged sewer line. They do not give a complete cost estimate prior to digging. My impression, which is supported by other contractors, is that Rescue Rooter seeks to get a hole dug on your property and then they have you over a barrel as they keep increasing prices. I found another contractor (Budget Sewer) who gave me a firm price, stuck to it and performed the work quickly and well. It wasn't cheap ($12,000) but I believe Rescue Rooter would have charged me much much more.

Description of Work: We were in a pinch as we had a main plumbing line clog on a Saturday and we called many places, but most were unavailable to come out same day. |The service was decent, but the constant up-selling from one the technicians was awful. I almost wanted to cancel the service and just deal with the issue another day. |The price was a little steep for the work we received, but we were just glad that we had our main line cleared. |We doubt we will use them again as the overly aggressive sales tactics aren't worth our time and also the fact that we'd prefer to deal with a local company.

Description of Work: Cleaned out main sewer line to street

Description of Work: We called Rescue Rooter to fix a plugged toilet. They responded quickly and were polite and professional. Because of heavy root obstruction and a broken pipe, they were unable to get their camera through the sewer pipe to clear it completely. They proposed digging up a 4 x 4 section of the yard to expose the pipe, install an outside cleanout access, replace sewer with plastic pipe, and then jet and re-camera rest of sewer. We agreed - the cost was $3,500. After inspection of the remaining pipe they suggested that because of a deteriorating sewer line, they install a "perma liner" down to the point that the line joins the neighbor's and becomes a 6" pipe for an additional $8,900. Or they could continue through into the 6" line to the city sewer if the neighbor would split the cost of that portion. We OK'd work going ahead with the job to where the line joined the neighbors. After much discussion, consultation with neighbor, and weighing costs/benefits we agreed to the entire job. The grand total of the project was now $16,600 after splitting part with the neighbor. Rescue Rooter also wanted to install the liner to a separate line to the kitchen which we declined (we had been "up billed" enough at this point). |They did all the work quickly and as far as we could tell, correctly, at times using several extra people, including a backhoe and cleanup crew. The only reason I checked I wouldn't use them again is that I didn't like having to make decisions on additional, expensive work that I was never totally convinced was necessary. |All in all, I give them a passing grade and they were very thorough describing our options and likely consequences of our decision. Sometimes their descriptions sounded like pressure ploys. |

Description of Work: We had an emergency and they came out right away within a half hour. We live in an old house and they fixed our galvanized piping issue.

Description of Work: I had a clogged french drain that was flooding the patio and approaching the house in heavy rains. We did not know where the line emptied. After cleaning the line, using a camera, and walking the property extensively, it was discovered that the line was a drip system into the garden without an outlet. we cut a hole in the line and the pooling water on the patio immediately drained. Rich was the tech, he was committed to solving the problem. He spent over 5 hours working the problem until it was solved and kept the cost at the bid quoted! I have already ready recommended him to several friends. So if you use Rescue Rooter ask for Rich!!!!
