+ -1 moreI was happy with the furnace replacement. He noted an issue with the duct work. He told the insurance company that the duct work was never installed correctly which led to the insurance company declining covering the work. He explained it never worked right. All he need to say to the insurance company was that that it was not working correctly. I am still waiting on them to follow up on a plan for replacing the outside venting.

On time, super nice, not a cent over budget (even when they found they had to retrofit something since we have a custom built old house), cleaned up after their work and stopped by to check on the system twice in the following weeks. Would recommend them to anyone! Can't say the same about our roofers though :(

+ -1 moreRob was professional, answered all our questions, and noticed a new (1 month old) filter was currently installed in the system. He supplied us with a replacement filter and indicated how, in the future, we could save by installing a heat pump system. I will use this company again.
Description of Work: Rob showed up on time, completely cleaned both the A/C unit the furnace, cooling coils, and supplied a new filter.

I did have a billing mix up with them, but they handled it well, even giving me a "bonus" on my next job. I appreciate that they are a small local company that has been in business in the Olympia area for over 20 years. I will continue to use them.
Description of Work: I have used G & G for two things--first, they service my furnace, which was originally purchased from t hem, and seocnd, I purchased a hot water heater from them (the price listed is for the water heater).

I have had services with them once a year for five years, and they are unbelievable. I got quotes from other companies as well. G&G Heating were a little bit more; but their warranty was 5 years, and their service had been unbelievable. Last year June, I had some issues, and the air conditioner didn't come on. It was because something went wrong. They called us and solved it over the phone. They recommended that they would like to come out to make sure everything is going right. They are family owned business. They have their technician close to about 20 years. People love working for them; they are excellent. Their charge is unbelievable.

They are always very professional, they don't try to sell me things I don't need (an example is that at the last service the filters did not need to be replaced & they told me that rather than trying to sell me new filters). Their prices are fair, and they are very good at follow-up.

I did shop around and I found that they were thousands of dollars less compared to the other bids. They are very good in the area. I saved over $5000 on the job. People go back to them over and over again. It’s a husband and wife, family owned company. They have been around for a long time. I never had a contractor give me a time window and be here 5 minutes before the beginning of that time window. So they were early. They were here as long as it took. They did other little things for me that was not included in the bid, but they stayed within the bid. We never realized that those things were necessary until they started the job. Moreover, I wasn’t charged for that too. They were incredible. Everything about them was good. I would definitely use their services in the future too.

Due to a billing/communication mishap, I ended up paying some interest that wasn't supposed to be charged to me--when I addressed it with G & G, they offered me a free furnace service (which I needed, and which was over twice the amount of the interest)! They have always been friendly, punctual, and fair, with excellent customer service. I would highly recommend them in the Olympia area.

Their technician (Rob?) arrrived within the estimated time window, was very personable and professional in explaining to me (a recent, first-time home owner) the process and issues around natural gas funace functions. He was also receptive to all my questions, cleaned up after himself, and offered a summary of G&G's recurring service options for consideration without any pressure to subscribe. Nice guy, good experience; I can't really comment on price since I didn't really shop around after reading Angie's List reviews, but I'm guessing it was well within the normal range. One inconsequential thing about G&G's listing is that they've moved from their Lemon Rd address to a location near the airport, in case that matters to anyone. Thanks, G&G.

+ -1 moreWe were very pleased. We asked if they could assist us in obtaining financing, and they obtained the price and interest rates we were willing to accept for our family's budget. Would definitely refer them to others. Thank you for a good business experience.
Description of Work: Because of our good interactions with them in January to service our furnace as a referral from Puget Sound Energy, we thought we would call them to provide an estimate for both a heat pump and/or a new air conditioning unit, as we weren't sure which one to buy. We also called Costco and another company for a quote. Overall, G&G Heating was more appealing than the others. The product they offereed, the Rheem unit, was penny for penny worth the price in comparison to the other products, Carrier/Lennox/York. The labor and parts warranty was far more appealing than the others. Although we are Executive members at Costco and would have benefitted by the perks, the representative company Costco used from Kent charged much more to cover the rebates of $500 and 2% in return, with only one year warranty on labor. G&G Heating has been in business for 17 years, has used Rheem products for 17 years and has had almost all the same guys work for them in this timeframe. This means quite a bit for honor and loyalty. If this company treats its employees this well, then they walk the walk and talk the talk and treat their customers equally the same. We felt the positive energy exude from every interaction from the person who answers the phone, to the tech and the owners.

+ -1 moreWe were in the middle of a coldsnap. I was told I had a dangerous condition in my furnace and needed to get it replaced immediately. I obtained 3 quotes. All 3 companies sent a rep to talk to me. G & G sent the owner as soon as possible after they learned it was an emergency. He patiently explained how the furnace worked, the differences that justified the difference in price, told me a little about the history of his company. He had the middle quote but I also checked with BBB and G&G was top rated. Although he had many other jobs scheduled, he did what he could to get in and get the furnace installed quickly. I did have to wait a few days. (which I didn't mind) . His employees were efficient, on time and cleaned up. They also answered questions and explained the best way to clean the filter.
