Controller board costs $400, tehcnician spent roughly 1 hour on the job but charged me $1150. Will hire someone else next time

The first tech Eric Sams on the scene, realized that we had a furnace problem and not a plumbing problem. He indicated that he would contact the office to send out a furnace specialist today. Both Eric and Jason were very professional, friendly and efficient in taking care of the furnace problem.

Simple 1-1/2 hr job to run a gas line cost $1500! Could not recommend them nor will I ever call them again.

I thought the pricing strategy is very unfair. A low fee for diagnostics is just a bait to slam you with an overpriced service. I knew exactly what was wrong and informed them of what I need done but they refused to give me a quote until I paid the "come-out" fee. Then I was quoted a price that was at least 30% higher than what other guys would charge. Of course it was too late to hire someone else. I did need the prompt service and they were the most available at the time.
