My boyfriend recently purchased his first home. YEAH!! He's former military and does Quality Assurance for a living. So he's big on quality and attention to detail. I'm a former instructor of color for Gene Juarez and I recently decided to venture out on my own a year ago with his support and encouragement (he's a great guy!). I wanted to do something special for his new home. So I decided to get his gas fireplace a tune up service since he's never had a gas fireplace and he mentioned that he wanted to get it serviced. So I decided to set up an appointment with All Points Heating and Fireplace. A very lovely technician came out named Heather (she was even early, nice!). She completely cleaned the whole entire fireplace. New rocks, removed the glass and cleaned it, even replaced a $30 part (I reminded her to charge me for it). Once the work was done and the fireplace was running Heather commenced to writing up the order for services rendered. Heather never mentioned anything was wrong with the fireplace glass, just that it was the original glass for the fireplace (keep in mind, this is tempered glass). Before she was able to complete receipt for services rendered. The fireplace glass literally exploded outward and glass went everywhere! Both of our jaws hit the floor and Heather stated, "that's never happened before"! Which I actually believe, because I've never heard of it happening before. After shutting down the fireplace, Heather immediately got on the phone and called her office. She called to find a replacement part for the glass and was told it would take at least a week. She then cleaned up the glass, and let me know she would get the glass in about 7 days and squeeze me in to her schedule to get installed. About a week later she returned and in 20 minutes we were back in business. Heather was very professional and handled the issue to my satisfaction. I appreciated the customer service and her effort to take care of the problem.

Arrived a little late, but she called in advance to let us know so it wasn't a big deal. Cleaned and serviced the furnace, including replacing the filter. She even went the extra mile to clean out our fan that would normally have been an extra charge. She was professional, took the time to answer our questions, and did a great job. Very positive experience and would hire again.

I'm a remodeling contractor, so there are occasional small revisions that are needed on a job. I needed a company that--first of all--would return a call, then one who could fit me into their schedule within a reasonable amount of time, was friendly, competent, and priced reasonably. All Points was all that. It was pleasant dealing with the estimator, installer and office manager. I would be happy to call them at the next opportunity, and would quickly refer them to someone else in need.

That turned out just fine. I had them do the inspection and tune up for the furnace. Just one technician came out and he did a couple of repairs. He did a good job.

Heather was very knowledgable, but at the same time admitted her limitations. That was the reason I completely trusted her recommendations and work. If she was not familiar with something he asked, but performed all the work professionally. She represents her company well, and I will use this company again. Also, their estimate was far less than other companies I contacted. The person, Rachel, who scheduled this for me was courteous and accommodating as well.

They came when they said they would. Installation seemed to be well done. They took away the old furnace. New furnace works great.

The service provider was prompt, professional, and friendly. She was very thorough in cleaning, and showed us the worn out part and explained that the part would need to be ordered. We scheduled a return visit, which also went smoothly. I would definitely use this service again - same time next year!

We just moved to our house and we didn't know how to light it. They were super nice and did a great job.

We wanted someone to come out and we thought they would work on a wood burning fireplace. She came out and said we do not work on wood burning fire places. It was something so simple but it was really upsetting but I really wanted to have confidence in Angie's List and it can be hard to have someone come out and feel that they are not taking advantage of you. She came out and gave me no warning of when she was going to come, she called right when she got here. Which was fine, but once she came in, she said instantly that she only works on gas fireplaces. If they had just called me and asked instead of just showing up and not being able to do anything and I just felt really embarrassed. She's the professional and so it felt like ti was a complete waste of time and money. I felt like it was such a small thing that was a waste of time. She asked why she chose all point and not something closer. She made it sound like it was out of her way. It didn't know what to think of that.

They were the least expensive and did a great job. My unit needed some maintenance and cleaning to make the pilot light stay lit again. They were careful not to make a mess...and the unit works great again.

There was a challenge with scheduling, but once they arrived to my home the service was outstanding and the quality was terrific. Heather is fantastic! I will definitely use this company again.

We did not use their services because they were booking appointments for three weeks out and we needed immediate service as we were without heat at the time.

From the start, they were extremely professional. They were more than willing to provide detailed estimates for lots of different equipment possibilities, including some that would have been much less expensive than what I wound up going with. They promptly answered questions, and got me on the schedule promptly. The price tag was high, but competitive with other bills I've seen for the same type of equipment and work. They were very considerate during the installation, and did no damage to the home. With the exception of the return duct taking up a portion of a closet, you would never know that this was a retrofit job -- it looks great. The custom grille for the return duct took some extra time, but it looks very nice installed. There were a few times when they reacted somewhat defensively to what seemed to me to be innocent questions, which is why I had to knock their Professionalism grade down a notch. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with the work, and would have no reservations about recommending them or using them myself for future work.

Our furnace blower quit working over the weekend. We called another company to come out because they had been out before. Their tech said the blower motor was fried and it would cost us $500 plus tax and installation to fix. He also said other parts were failing and quoted us a price on a new furnace. I thought his price was high so I called Allpoints. They quoted us $254 and sent Heather out to install it. When she arrived she asked if we were sure it was the motor and whether it could be the capacitor. I told her the other tech had checked the capacitor, said it was fine and insisted it was the motor. She checked it and said it was fried - but the motor was fine. She installed a new capacitor ($45) and the old motor, saving me over $200 on top of the $250 savings from an honest price on the motor she brought with her. We are extremely happy with Heather's quick, smart, honest approach to solving our problem. We are very happy with Allpoints and will do business with them whenever we can!!

During the summer I hired All Points Heating to service two gas furnaces and an air conditioning unit at my house. Heather, the technician arrived about 45 minutes late, but she did call at the scheduled appointment time to say she was running late. The service was done professionally and the summer service special pricing was fantastic. One of my furnaces was diagnosed with a number of worn parts and a cracked heat exchanger(still operable). Heather gave me a number of no pressure options with pricing for repairs and and suggestions for replacement( the unit was 22 years old). I decided that replacement probably made the most sense so I asked to have a salesperson contact me for pricing on a new furnace. Six weeks passed and no contact from All Points regarding an estimate. Since the weather was changing I called and scheduled an appointment myself. The estimator arrived on time, looked over the situation and said that a bid would be e-mailed shortly. That night when the heat was turned up the furnace would no longer operate. Thinking that the salesman had inadvertently hit a switch or done something during the inspection I called and left a message on his cell phone that we were now "No Heat". I never received a call back from either the salesman or the service department!! Three or 4 days later I did receive an e-mail with the quote. Being cold, I called three other contractors and had bids back and a proposal signed before I heard back from from All Points. The All Points pricing was considerably higher than that of two of the three other contractors.

They had a lot to coordinate, I had a lot of questions throughout the process, and the job was a bit prolonged (not their fault), and they were just as kind and professional on the very last day as they were on the first.

They did a nice job, very friendly. It was a very good experience.

Purchased a deal. Did not receive a call, but got an Angie's List message saying can they come 10/14/2013 at 2:30. I confirmed by message reply and never heard back. I called to confirm this morning to check how long they would be here and they had no record of my appointment. Now say they can't come until November 8. Said manager would call me right back this morning, did not call. Update: Still haven't received confirmation from Angie's List that the "big deal" will be refunded, but am hopeful. Manager called next day to and left a message about my need to reschedule and then called today (week later) and admitted they had made a mistake, offering to schedule at my convenience. I declined. I changed my review because I appreciate the fact that they made a mistake, owned up to it, and tried to make it right. I had another company already out to do the service and will use that company in the future.

My electric heat system was having problems, being quite old, and it was intermittent, sometimes working as desired and sometimes not turning on or not shutting off. The service technician took his time and tracked the issue down to a broken power wire at a terminal block. He wasn't 100% sure this was the cause, but it's been working fine since.

My utility company was able to do the repair so I did not need to use this provider. However, when I called, they were very helpful and I will definitely without a doubt use them in the future to replace my furnace and for any repair my utility company is unable to do. During my several calls to the company, I spoke with three people, and each was very helpful, friendly, and could not ask for a better assistance. I was thoroughly impressed with them.
