They told me that they wouldn't give the estimate over the phone, and someone came out told me their price per hour, but the person also stated that he had no chimney experience. His ladder wasn't even long enough to do the job, and he didn't want to go out on the roof by himself. He left and I have not heard from this company since this, except an invoice for $0. The person who had experience dealing with chimneys was double booked; they should have rescheduled instead of sending out someone that didn't know what he was doing. All in all they seemed somewhat incompetent.

Our first impressions were very positive and their price was competitive. There were some delays in the installation process due to one of their employees getting injured off-site. Then there were issues with the operation of the fireplace. Since it wasn't winter, we weren't desperate to get a quick fix, but it took quite a long time to get the job completely done. At one point, it was determined that there was a bad part that needed replacing on the new fireplace, which wasn't All Points fault. However, when the service person came out to install the replacement part, he didn't have the correct part and blamed it on the person ordering the part. A more professional approach would be to check your replacement part BEFORE you come out to make sure you have what you need. We continued to have an operational problem with the fireplace, and eventually it was determined that the sensor the wall-mount remote control needed to communicate with was mounted too low behind the facing of the fireplace for it to read the IR signals. We thought that would have been something the installation people would have dealt with in the original set-up. That probably didn't happen because they did not have the facing panel to install at the original appointment. That didn't arrive until several weeks later, and no one made any adjustments to the location of the sensor when the facing was added. Now that that has been done, it is working fine. There were a lot of extra appointments where we had to take off work to be home for them, but overall, in the end, we like the fireplace. The field staff members were pleasant. The office staff on the phone was helpful.

Eric was very personable and informative, the estimates and options were great. The installers were very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Work was done well and all on time. I have small children, and all people were very sweet and courteous to the kids. We'd use them again for sure.
