I would certainly call them again. Trust is an important factor for me.
Description of Work: This was a major warranty job for my Bryant/Carrier Furnace. The secondary heat exchanger failed. I contacted several other companies but Heather, the tech that did the work---Yes a woman tech and a very good one at that--- took the information about my furnace, checked with the manufacture's warranty department, and called me with the details with an estimated cost of $110 out of pocket cost to me (the repair is worth around $1,100)- and we scheduled the appointment. This warranty is no small deal- I had talked to at least 3 other dealers. They all knew about this warranty but all of them were trying to get money from both ends. i.e. not tell me that the warranty included 4 hrs labor, another said it would cost $1,100 (they would get $1,100 from me and $1000 from the manufacture-- They wonder why we don't call again. BTW I looked on Angie's list after I was given the authorized bryant/carrier dealer list and there was AllPoints with some great reviews.

Our repair woman (name escaping me now) showed up a bit late, but called from the road to let me know which was nice. She was very friendly, very professional and got right to work. She quickly assessed the rattling problem (too much dust collected in the fan) and fixed it within an hour. She also performed what is supposed to be an annual maintenance check (it's been 7 years since we've lived here with no maintenance...oops). All in all, the work was efficient and effective. The price seemed a little steep, but we did not do much shopping around so hard to tell. Overall, a positive experience and I would recommend All Points to a friend or family member.

The staff in sales, scheduling, planning to installing were all great. Quick scheduling by Rachel. We received invaluable advice on placement of furnace, pipes and ducting, and ways to configure our current system to accommodate future remodeling plans. The installation team was excellent. They were prompt. Tony outlined installation plans, discussed potential need for plan B at the outset, and kept us informed during the entire project. They were conscientious in keeping their workspace contained and cleaned up well at the end.
Description of Work: All Point changed out our oil furnace to a gas furnace. They installed gas piping from the meter, took out the old furnace, installed new furnace and modified the ducts to fit the new unit, installed pipes to fireplaces for gas insert, and installed new thermostat.

He came on time and put footies on his feet to protect rugs. We told him about a problem with the furnace fan constantly blowing, as well as having the gas furnace cleaned & checked. He throughly inspected the furnace, vacuumed all the parts & examined all of the furnace & proclaimed we did not have any problems; just explained that we had turned on the fan/blower switch, so that is why it was running all of the time. (this switch is used in the summer to blow the air around the house when it is hot, we forgot that info) We were relieved that there were no problems. He said the furnace (new in 1995) was in tip-top shape & should work for a few more years.
Description of Work: Excellent service performed on the cleaning & maintenance of my gas furnace. Even honored the coupon price, although I forgot to buy the coupon offered at the time I requested the services. I will hire them again next year for this service, or if I need other services. Also, they were able to provide service to me sooner than some of the other companies, who have a backlog of work at this time of year. Thanks again.

Initially they assessed our furnace which was no longer working and about 27 years old, giving us the option for repair and recommending replacement. It took awhile for them to get to us after opting for replacement (about 2wks) but they finished the job in a day. The furnace did not work properly initially but they returned the next day when we called them and had the furnace running properly. Overall excellent experience, very reasonable pricing options, great job, friendly and helpful staff. Recommend them highly.

Very pleased. They were very good in explaining what I needed to learn during the bid process; were the best of 4 or 5 bids. Highly recommend. I got their name through Puget Sound Energy. The one thing I'd do differently would be to check with the City of Seattle Sustainability office first-- they have some matching funds that have some up front requirments. I was to far into the process to benefit.

She showed up early, very professional, nice and did a great job. She even helped me get my wedding ring out of my ducting. She went above and beyond her call of duty. Great service! They only sell furnace units that are reliable.
Description of Work: I was worried about my furnace, so I had my natural gas provider give my furnace a free inspection. The combustion chamber had a crack in it, so they decommissioned it on the spot. I gave All Points a call, and Eric Chavaz came out and inspected my existing furnace. He also recommended that I get a condenser installed along with the furnace since I told him I was eventually going to get a heat pump installed. Knowing that my house did not have any other source of heat, Eric himself came out and single handedly installed my furnace within a few days. All the other installers were busy, so I really appreciated Eric stepping up. Eric even came by early the 2nd day of my installation to make sure the pilot light in my hot water heater (also natural gas) was still running so my family could take hot showers! The furnace has worked great with very little maintenance during the past 2 years.

Everything was prompt, everything was punctual, everything was professional. The salesman carefully described three levels of furnaces that they provide in the Carrier line. Technical issues such as placement of the intake and vent lines were thought through. Appropriate permits were acquired. The work was completed in one day, including a challenging job of running new wife for the new thermostat, and everything was cleaned up thoroughly. A model for how such things should be done.

Our5 YO gas furnace went dead very early on Easter Morning. Searching for a firm to make an emergency call I found only 1 available on a holiday in our rural area of Snohomish County. The agent asked a few questions and then offered that a holiday call out would be rather costly and did I know that the weather was forecast to be unseasonably warm for the next two days therefore could I wait for Monday service when the rates were about half of the holiday charge? I checked the weather forecast and agreed. The agent set up an appointment for Monday morning. The service person ( a very nice lady) arrived promptly at 10 AM on Monday and in a few moments had figured out the problem. In thirty minutes she had replaced the ignitor and then cleaned and adjusted the flame sensors, burners and pressure switch post, finally testing the furnace. While the bill was not cheap, they drove quite a ways to get to us and did the job quickly and professionally. I will call them again because of their very positive customer service attitude. Especially considering the company that installed the furnace (new construction)-those guys even tried to charge for work that was covered under the manufacturers or builders warranty!

The most wonderful experience I have ever had with any vendor. They were polite, courteous, friendly, had a good sense of humor. They respected my space by laying down tarps to protect my floor and carpet and they cleaned up after themselves even though the water heater is in a crawl space and didn't need it. They offered to replace insulation on the pipes affected (though that wasn't in the bid) and they removed the old water heater. Their price was the best, by several hundred dollars, over all of the 5 other suppliers I called. The two installers were so friendly it felt like I was talking with a close friend or family member. In fact I was treated as a cherished customer from the very first phone contact all the way through completion of the work. I can't think of anything they could do to improve and I would use this company again in half a heart beat!

I had turned down (not off) the temp in the water heater tank and when I got home from vacation 2 weeks later, I turned it back up, however, the next morning I had to take a tepid shower. I called PSE, but unfortunately it was a Friday and the earliest they could come out was Tuesday sometime. Snow was forecast for the weekend, so they gave me All Points as one of their referral companies. Called and spoke to Rachel, who was very nice, helpful and could schedule me in that day. She explained that the $149 service charge would cover a few things with my water heater. I took off work early and went home to wait. Heather showed up at 6:15 pm, and told me my pilot light was off. She did show me how to take the cover off, and see when/how the pilot light was off/on. It took about 3 minutes. That was it. She said the problem was the pilot light was not lit, did not check to see if anything else required service. She did feel bad about the service charge, and said she would turn in the paperwork and maybe the office would give me a break. She wrote up paperwork but never gave it to me to sign, and never left a copy for me. Although I know I agreed to have them come out, and knew the charge, it still leaves a bad taste in my mouth to have to pay $163.16 ($149 plus tax) for turning on a pilot light. I called Rachel when I got the bill and asked her if we could do some sort of adjustment on the bill. She agreed to take $30 off, so the final price was $130.31. Still not happy, but feel a little better, and at least I know how to check and relight my pilot light in the future!

Response from All Points Heating & Fireplace
We are sorry that you were dissatisfied with your service. It was unfortunate that your pilot was simply out, but fortunate that nothing was wrong with your water heater and that we were able to respond to your service request within several hours and got your water heater working before the weekend. We hoped that this would justify our charges, which ended up being less than quoted and did resolve your issue in a timely manner. Thank you, All Points Heating & Fireplace

All Points Heating installed a new fireplace insert into our existing fireplace. They also ran a new gas line for not only the fireplace but for a gas range and barbecue. Eric was our sales rep and from the start was extremely informative and helpful with the decision. His experience is vast and he brings a practical approach to the decision too. We were already most comfortable with him after receiving 2 other bids but the price quote was also several hundred to $1000+ below the others for an upgraded unit. They have already performed the install which turned out great. They did it with all the needed permits and never questioned the need for one. The install came out even better than we expected and the install crew was on time, polite, informative, professional and clean. As an added bonus they removed a wood stove from our basement fireplace. This was really helpful since they make getting homeowner's insurance very difficult. We are considering having them do another fireplace insert in the basement in the future. Eric even came back out after the install to show us a couple of additional tricks showing the type of care he has for his customer's satisfaction. I would definitely bring them back for future work without hesitation and strongly recommend them to others.

We had a red tagged furnace over the weekend. They came out promptly to offer a no hassle free estimate. The staff was very polite and took time to explain all options and did not make any effort to have us buy the most expensive furnace option. It was not the lowest estimate of the four service providers who submitted an estimate. However it was in our opinion the best estimate for a 95 % efficiency carrier furnace. The cost included all taxes, labor and equipment. They spent approximately 10 hours working on the project and left the place clean and tidy. We were very impressed by their service and will certainly use them again as well as recommend them to our friends. It helped that they had a brick and mortar office very close to our home. This offered us a bit more sense of security that we would not have to chase after someone who works out of their home or their truck if anything requires follow up.

If you are looking for one of the services All Points Heating and A/C provides look no more. This is the best company in the area and this statement coming from two perfectionist is not easy to come by. Two years ago the same company installed a gas insert fireplace in our living room. They were prompt, efficient, personable and very clean. This year we called them back to give us estimates for A/C and replacing our older gas insert fireplace in our family room. Eric Chaves (the sales manager) knew exaclty what needed to be done to our existing furnace to add the central A/C and he is overall a pleasure to work with. Tony and Chris did the installation for us. As the previous time they came on time and prepared and as before they were efficient and very concerned about us being absolutely satisfied with the installation. Rachel and Liz at the office were always available for questions and for helping arranging the inspections. And they all work together as a team to make everything happen correctly for their customers and on time. As with all home projects not all goes perfect the first time. We had a noise from the fireplace fans -not because of the fans but because of the layout of the fireplace-. Heather from the service dept came twice to make sure that all possible solutions were exhausted. And they came up with a creative solution that required a third trip and more hours of work to make sure that we were completely satisfied. And of course we are. Our experience with All Points Heating is that they will work relentlessly to take care of their customers and to leave them happy with their services. They will follow up in every way they can. It is very hard to find companies with such knowledgeable, professional and courteous people. This company is one of them and we will always recommend them and go back to them. They make us feel good about spending money and that is very hard to do.

Just moved into a house we bought and furnace hadn't been serviced in years. Puget Sound Energy recommended them, so we gave them a call. They came all the way from Mukilteo and everyone was very friendly and helpful. Heather did the service work and she was extremely thorough and knew what she was doing. The furnace was absolutely filthy and she spent a couple hours taking it apart and cleaning it out. While doing the work, she broke the ignitor. She replaced it for no extra charge. We were super impressed with her attention to detail. The furnace looked like new by the time she was done. She left the work site spotless and wrote up a very detailed (and legible!) report of the work she did. We liked her so much, we called them again for our next project--a hot water heater installation.

Just moved into a house we bought a few months earlier. The water heater was ancient and working, but was making loud knocking noises. We figured we'd better replace it before disaster struck. We called All Points for this job, because we were completely impressed with them when they serviced our furnace. They came out and did a free estimate. The fellow who did the estimate was friendly and helpful. The estimate seemed reasonable enough so we went with it. The guy who did the service of removing the old water heater and installing the new one was also friendly and seemed to know what he was doing. He had to replace plumbing and some duct work above the heater. He also advised us to remove the platform that the old water heater was resting on, saying it was unnecessary and a barrier to installing the new one. We had a open hole between the garage (where the water heater is) and the crawl space under the house. He covered it with a hunk of sheet metal for us...that was above and beyond. We were very satisfied when he left. However, later the next day, an elbow of his new plumbing connection was leaking water on the garage floor. We called them and, since it was not an emergency, he came the next day to fix it. He was apologetic, but also said that it was not an uncommon occurrence. Hmm. Maybe because he's not the best plummer? When he left the leak appeared to be fixed, but later that evening it was back! I called them again and he came again. Very apologetic this time. This time rather than just resoder the old original joint, he completely replaced it. This time it worked. Third time was a charm.
