Alex came to our home and measured our windows and gave us an estimate. He was very helpful in guiding us and recommending tinting on the sunny side of our home. Then a few days later, an expert measurer came to confirm the measurements. A few short weeks went by and the installers came to place the windows. The only thing we were not prepared for, is that replacing windows required a lot of sawing into our window frames in order to fit the new windows. That caused some drywall damage that we need to fix and repaint. We would have loved for someone to have let us know that was going to happen, but we still would have replaced the windows and used Procraft.
Description of Work: This was the second time we used Procraft Windows and are very satisfied with the estimate, the install, the product and the customer service follow up. A year prior, we replaced our slider and loved the product so much, we decided to have them back to replace all our old aluminum windows. What a wonderful uprade to our home!

The salesman visited to discuss window choices and to gather the data needed to make an estimate. Precise measurements were taken in advance of the work beginning to ensure that the windows would fit. The work was done on time and painting was co-ordinated with my painter. The installer was very experienced and did an excellent job of a clean installation. The windows are of excellent quality. They make our home warmer and more quiet. I will use this vendor again when I replace the rest of the windows in the house.

We selected Procraft based upon the very many high marks they received on Angie's List. In my experience the good recommendations are well deserved; the Procraft personnel on our project were very professional and did exacting work. Our house had 20 aluminum framed windows with storm windows, and 3 sliding patio doors. Their replacement was a large project and we had been considering it for some time. Dennis, the salesman, helped us with the initial selection of the best replacement windows for the architecture of our house, and suggested a garden window over the kitchen sink. Pat made careful mesurements of the dimensions for each one, and the order was placed for custom build windows from Comfort Design Inc. Just 2 weeks later, Tim and his crew were here to begin installing the project. They were most professional and skilled workmen, carefully protecting both outdoor and indoor areas from dust and damage during their installation. Each of the windows and sliding doors fit exactly, and the competed windows look like they were built with the house. The interior window sills were trimmed to fit the new window frames yet the look undisturbed after the installations. After removal of a sliding door from a den, Tim walled in a single door and window with very skilled craftsmanship. His finishing work on that as well as the kitchen window box was excellent and the exterior siding was made to exactly match the house. We received regular contact from Sky about minor material changes during the installation, and are most impressed with the quality of the finished products and the workmanship of the installers. Most reassuring was the follow-up by 3 individuals from Procraft who contacted us to find out whether the project met our expectations, and Dennis is planning on a followup visit to see how it all turned out. We are very satisfied by the entire experience with Procraft.
Description of Work: Procraft replaced the 20 aluminum framed windows, two sliding patio doors, and remodeled another patio door with a half wall and window and a swing out door. The previous windows had interior or exterior storm windows that were difficult to use and tough to keep cleaned. The new vinyl windows have dressed up the exterior look of our home and have proven to be very easy to operate, and the garden window box over the kitchen sink was a great addition. The house now has an updated appearance and much improved window and door systems.

I bought a house that has a lot of windows (total 50) with majority of them in 22" W x 70"L, with bottom 18" with a latch open for outside air ventilation - all double-pane. Many windows had broken seals, in total replaced I replaced 26 sets of glasses in sizes of either 22"W x 52"L or 22"W x 18"L. This with installation amounted to $4500. I had 3 appointments set up: Procraft, Champions and Keystone. Procraft was the first one to come out - they were easy to reach, responsive and able to accommodate my schedule. Paul the estimator was very pleasant, took his time to measure the windows. However when he was done, he was pushy, asking me to make decision right then by putting down deposit if I wanted the quote before he left. Furthermore, he spoke negatively of others, discouraged me from meeting with other two vendors and reassured me repeatedly that he gave me an excellent price that I wouldn't get from Champions or Keystone. With a fixer having a lot to deal with, I canceled the 2 appointments and signed up. How did I come to conclusion that I had overpaid? So we scheduled replacement appointment before Christmas, turns out there were 5 glasses that didn't fit because the measurement was off. They came back the 2nd time after new years and got those 5 taken care of. 3 weeks after 2 Procraft visits, I noticed there was a 22"x18" panel wouldn't shut tightly, there was a gap between the two piece and cold air was gushing in. I called Paul and asked him to return to give me a quote on replacing that. Paul came by, cheerful as he was, didn't examine the window at all, and told me that it couldn't be fix and that the entire window needed to be replaced. The price: $1380. $1380 to replace a 22"x70" double-pane window? He explained that those were old style and had to match them, but how should that constitute such steep price tag He then tried to talk me into replacing all three windows on that wall, which would bring down per window cost to $1250. Needless to say I didn't sign up for it. The following week, while having a handyman over to fix a few things, I asked him to look at that window, turned out that two screws on the sides were missing, so the bottom piece was hanging low to create that gap. We put back the two screws and now it shuts just fine. I blame myself for being gullible and not sticking with my 3-quote policy, but always watch out for these salesmen, if Procraft indeed is the best thing in down, they have nothing to worry about and SHOULD/WOULD encourage comparison.

We have a 96 year old two story house with most of the original windows. Sammy, the estimator for Procraft, came within a few days of my calling the company. He was informative, pleasant, offered many good ideas. He was not pushy. We agreed on the type of storm window (permanent with sliding glass and outside screens for some windows; fixed glass for others). The person who does the installing came and did precise measurements within the week. The storm windows came and were installed within 8 weeks. They fit well and look good. Because of the age of the house and having some stained glass windows we did not want replacement windows. This winter they made a huge difference by limiting drafts and hopefully will reduce our energy bill. An added benefit was how quiet it was inside.

For the large amount of money we spent on a few new wood windows, I am disappointed with this company. Their Sales Man, Sammy, was nice but measured our windows wrong. The new window grids did not match the existing windows on our home as we had asked for. Sammy said we were stuck with the wrong windows (we signed off on his measurements) but he would replace a couple of our other windows to make the house look more uniform. It was disappointing that he did not just apologize, own up to his mistake and reorder the windows we had requested in the first place. We had to escalate this to his manager, Sky who was helpful and reordered the correct windows for us. Once the correct windows were installed (approx 2 months later) one came broken. Our never ending window project continued another week. The following week they came to fix it. It has been fixed but the metal in between the double pane is completely different than all of the other new windows. After several months of headaches, needless days off of work, and Lindal windows that still aren't perfect, I am surprised they did charge us the original amount. On a positive note, you couldn't find a nicer pair of install guys. Its too bad the rest of the experience was so difficult.

The sales rep (Dennis) came out for a quote and right when he arrived we had just endured 2 hours of a high sales and pressure quote from another vendor. We could not get the sleazy sales person out of our house and thank goodness Dennis showed up so we could get the other guy out! We were just in shock of the awful and sleazy tactics the other rep used; we told Dennis up front that we are not going to listen to another 2 hour saga on windows! He was very laid back and said he would come back if we were not up to talking with him that day. We relaxed at that point and just told him of the horrible experience we went through with the other vendor, and he shook his head and told us that he can get us the same windows that they offer. We then showed him our neighbor?s windows and he showed us a few samples. We showed him our existing windows and how we loved the wood-look on them. He told us the Milgard has a new wood window ? the Essence series and he can come back and show us a sample. We agreed and he came back a week later with the sample. After looking at the sample, we were sold and wanted to explore the costs and options. He measured our house and suggested formats for look and design. He gave us the entire quote and discussed how your install crews are professional and work for the company directly. After having 3 other quotes, we concluded that Procraft was the best option for our needs. Fast forward to the week we scheduled to have the installation done and John and Robert came to our house early and ready to get started. They were the utmost in professionalism by discussing with us each day what they would like to accomplish, and checked in periodically about what type of trim we wanted, noting any defects for have Milgard fix, and keeping us in the loop on the progress of the job. They were personable, friendly, and completed the job in less time that we ever imagined. After each work day, you would never know they were there since they cleaned up and vacuumed all areas they had worked. They also took time to cover our furniture and checked with us before they moved any of our stuff. It was such a pleasure having them in our home that we were sad after the 3rd day to see them go! We looked forward to their arrival each morning and watching the quality of their work come together. Both John and Robert were a pleasure to have in our home! We went with Procraft because of the longevity and professional of your entire team and we experienced firsthand from working with Dennis to having John and Robert install our windows! Thank you again for such a wonderful experience! We are happy to be a reference for future customers and I will be sure to post this review on both Yelp and Angie?s list (leaving out names of course). Sincerely from very happy and satisfied customers ? Denise and Tom Fridge

The estimator, Paul, was VERY thorough. I was mulling over a number of different estimates for a while and although he was a little bit pushy he did end up bringing down the price as a result of other estimates I received in order to get my business. Procraft was not the cheapest option but they were close enough to make me want to go with them. And I am happy I did. The installation was completed quickly and nearly without a hitch. I did realize they forgot to install the handle for my awning window. When I called about this they were very apologetic and came to install the handle within the next week. They also removed and re-installed the shutters i had on the old windows during the installation so I wouldn't have to do it myself! Overall, I am very happy with the whole experience.

Kudos to a company that would make referrals to a competitor.
Description of Work: I called on a Saturday to setup a service call on a IGU window that's foggy - they said they don't do windows under a certain size. My window was 4feet by 4feet. However, they did refer me to Glass Doctor (which was good - as they are under no obligation to make referrals to competitors).

Procraft Industries installed new windows, patio door, and screen door on our home in 2006. Recently we have sought bids for siding replacement, and multiple companies mentioned concern regarding the installation of several windows. We contacted Procraft, who concurred with the siding contractors' opinions. Procraft promptly scheduled a crew to correct the installation of all of the problem areas. The installers were on time, courteous, and thorough. We appreciate the fact that the company stood behind its work so many years after it was performed.

Once again, Procraft Windows has done an excellent job! They always show up on time and provide quality service! They installed a new sliding glass door with a very cool built in pet door and two new front windows. Tim, Brian, and Matt did a great job installing and left my house nice and clean - they even put all of the blinds back up for me!! A great team! I will definitely be using them again!

The estimating process went just fine.
Description of Work: We just got an estimate from Procraft. They seemed very professional, and knowledgeable, and said he would call back by phone to see if we had decided or not. He never called back; at least not while we were home. He was supposed to call back the Monday or so after the estimate, but we didn't hear from him. That is o.k. We are not ready to purchase quite yet. We want to look at other options, because Procraft seemed very expensive. I did some reference calls on them, and all the reports were excellent. Maybe you get good quality work for high priced cost. Seems that way, most of the time.

It went extremely well, from the initial visit by Lawrence (sales rep) through the measuring and ultimately the replacement. Everyone involved was respectful and professional, all with nice personalities and excellent work ethic. In fact, I initially ordered a more expensive window before deciding a different brand, that happened to be a couple hundred less, would look better with the other window trims in the kitchen. Lawrence could not have done enough to ensure the change was made, all with a great, customer friendly attitude. The work has been done with excellent craftsmanship and in just a few hours. Procraft even replaced some siding around the outside and did excellent trim work on the inside.
Description of Work: Procraft removed a very large bay window that had severe rot and replaced it with an equally large picture window, wood trimmed. The bay window was on the second level of the house and, due to its size, very heavy. They removed it in pieces, then replaced it with the new window and trimmed it out both inside and out.

Procraft had installed my windows 9 years prior so I knew already that they did excellent work. I was very happy to find them on Angie's List when I was looking for someone to replace my front door. I was pleasantly surprised to have the same sales associate who remembered my prior job and even took the time to check on my windows and make sure everything was still good with them. The ordering process was easy and I felt advised but not pressured. My order was placed and installation occured as scheduled and was very easy and unobtrusive. The installers were personable, knowledgeable and clean. The door was exactly as ordered and looked even better than promised. The area was vaccumed (even outside) and left at least as clean as when the process began. Now, a month later, I am still very pleased with the quality of the door. I have notice great improvement in sound and weatherproofing and I love the flexibility of the Screen door. I would happily use or recommend Procraft again.

The first attempt was not so great. One peice of glass had a small crack in it but that wasn't my main problem. The installer left very large gaps between the window frame and the wood stops so the bead of calk/sealant settled and left voids in several locations. Plus it just looked sloppy. When they called to request the final payment I told them of the issues and they sent a guy (Josh) out to look at it. He was extremely helpful and ended up replacing the cracked peice and redoing all of the wood stops. It turned out great and I'm more than happy with the final product.

A representative from Procraft came out, measured the project, and discussed at length the best design for the project. When the materials arrived, they came out and installed the door and windows. A few boards did not fit in with the remodel, so a company worker came out and made the proper adjustments so the counters and the windows fit well together. I was extremely pleased with Procraft's work, the service I received, and the Milgard door and windows that I purchased. They are perfect. This company was interested in doing a Class A job, which I appreciated so much. I continue to receive compliments on the products and Procraft's work.

We recently purchased a 1933 home in historic Snohomish, the home had single pane leaded windows that were beautiful but not very efficient. Also over the years the windows were all either painted shut or nailed shut so we couldn't open a window if we wanted to. We researched the providers on Angie's List, obtained a couple estimates and selected to go with Procraft Industries. Ray Harding came to our home and looked at our windows and we explained that we wanted to keep the traditional look as much as possible, but we needed better insulation qualities and something we could open. Ray gave us all the options and explained the wide choice of products they offered. At no time did we feel pressured or pushed to choose Ray and Procraft. On the date of installation Procraft called and due to illness and another job that ran long they had to reschedule. This was unfortunate, but Skye at Procraft handled the situation very professionally and was able to work with our schedule to get the job done. The last thing we wanted was to have someone come in to our home sick or a crew short handed as that when mistakes are made. The guys that came were professional, friendly and efficient. They replaced all 13 of the windows in less than a day, they are beautiful and they open! The crew did an excellent job in finishing the installation by adding some trim and the completed job has brought rave reviews from the neighbors. Procraft is not the lowest cost provider, but if quality and working with a professional company is what you are looking for then Procraft is who we would recommend.

The salesman was wonderful to begin with. We had a problem with the product and they ignored us when there was a problem. There was a streak in the glass between the windows. They were not as friendly when there was a problem. It was very difficult to get them to come back out to fix the problem. The installers were nice to begin with. When we walked around to look at the job when it was completed they were not nice when we pointed out mistakes that we wanted repaired.

The service has been great. The product and the installation are both covered by a twenty year guarantee. This is better than just having a provider install already purchased windows because the backing is determined only by the installer. If you break a window by mistake, Procraft will make the repairs for no additional cost for both installation and product. I would highly recommend their services.
