Procraft Windows and Doors

It did not.! I made an appointment for Friday at 10:00 am, and I received a call on Thursday at 4:00 Pm. I was told that my job was to small and I needed to have 60 square feet of glass repaired and they were cancelling the appointment. This was information they could have told me when I booked the appointment, and not the day before the appointment. So now i will not be able to get the windows looked at until next week. This lack of customer service is deplorable.

It went very well indeed. Careful,quick and on schedule.

I hired ProCraft to replace 32 windows in a house remodel. The sales guy did a great job of explaining my options on window lines and even came back the next day with samples of the selected window line. The install crew did a fantastic job of removing the old windows, installing the new windows, and trimming out the new windows. They gave me lots of choices on how to trim out the new windows and their work was super high quality. We had a couple of issues come up with the install. I ordered casement windows for two large bay windows and a few of the casement windows came hinged on the wrong side. Sky, the general manager of the shop, instantly took care of this mistake and ordered replacement windows at no cost. As soon as they arrived, his crew was on-site to take care of the problem. This was a big order and his response was exactly the response I was hoping to receive. I could not have been happier with ProCraft.

The work got done but the manager was not very nice nor flexible, and he is arrogant. One year after the services my window started leaking. They advertise a free lifetime warranty but I do not trust the quality of the work. I had a hard time getting them to come back out to fix the issues.

It went very well. Originally, they got the wrong product but they got the correction. They made a couple of corrections and it all went very well and we're all happy with the product.

Initial Estimate Visit (last week of Feb)- The visit started with a review of my current doors, followed by measuring, then a review of the Codel doors catalog. The front door was to be Codel model SF64C. Back door is Codel model SF66CL with shelf. Both doors were to have security glass and be factory white smooth fiberglass. I was told painting wasn't necessary. I was informed that I could purchase new locks from Procraft or not. If I went with somewhere else I had to pick either Schlage or Baldwin, because Procraft wouldn't work with anything else. Also, if we purchased the locks they needed to be onsite for the final measurement. Contract Signing Visit (2/26/16)- Started by re-measuring the doors and reviewing our previous selections. Oops the selected front door is too big and doesn't come in the size I need. Great. Codel model SF622 was selected for the front door. Back door specs stayed the same. Both doors were to have security glass and be factory white smooth fiberglass. Again, I was told painting was not necessary. I opted to get my own door locks, since the sales person told me that Procraft has a large up charge when you purchase through them. Again, they told me I could only select Schlage or Baldwin, and that locks must be present for the final measurement which would be next week. Final Measurement Visit- Schlage deadbolts and pistol grips on hand. Procraft shows up on time and double checks the doors' measurements and opens the Schlage packages for review. Everything looks great. Order goes in. Installation Attempt #1 (3/25/16)- Team shows up on time and immediately gets to work on the back door. They completely rip out the old door and frame and put up the new frame. They go to hang the door and oops the hinges are on the wrong side and there is no shelf. They decide it's a good idea to check the front door to make sure it's hinged correctly, good news, it is. So they call back to HQ and relay the situation. The decision is made to put up the new door even though it's hinged wrong. HQ was to immediately re-order the back door but hinged correctly and with the shelf. Old locks were installed on the new door and things were left very much in process. Now to the front door. Things are moving right along, the new door actually gets hung and they put up the pistol grip. They open the deadbolt and oops it doesn't fit. There isn't enough space between the door and the molding around the glass to fit the deadbolt. Apparently they've never seen anything like this and it's time to call HQ, again. Decision is made to re-install our old deadbolt on the new door and the guy in charge of this operation would be out to my house to review options with us. Issue Visit- A week later, we finally get a visit from the manager. He agrees to re-order the back door, but this time correctly. Good news, but shouldn't this have already been done? Oh and also, some of this problem could have been avoided. The door got hinged on the wrong side because of sloppy handwriting and lack of detailed notes. We never got an answer as to why the shelf was missing. On to the front door. The manager tells us he is going to find and order us a lock that will fit. So we can't have what we want, but at least he is going to cover the cost of the change, which is great because it's now past the return policy for the hardware we purchase ourselves. Since we had to have the locks for the final measurement, it's now over 30 days since purchase and they can't be returned. At this point, we really don't know why the locks needed to be present at the final measurement because clearly they didn't write down model numbers or do any actual measuring to ensure fit. I also find out that the frames around the glass inserts Must be painted. If they aren't then over the years they will yellow due to UV exposure. The manager also suggests painting the doors which was news to us (remember how we decided to get white doors that didn't need painting...?). Installation Attempt #2 (4/14/16)- Front door is finished 100%. The old deadbolt is removed and deadbolt purchased by Procraft is installed. The new back door is hung, our pistol grip is installed, and it's on to the deadbolt. Oops, we are missing two critical screws; the first team that was out must have accidentally taken them because they aren't in the box. Lucky us, we have a completely unopened extra deadbolt set sitting around (aka the front door set that was never opened). So we pull the screws from that to make it work and we are finally done. We are handed our invoice for the full amount! We weren't automatically given any compensation for Procraft completely messing this job up over and over again. The next day we called Procraft and said that we absolutely were not paying the full amount. The accounting lady said she would have the manager call us back right away. Over a week later they still hadn't responded to us, so we called them again. After telling the office assistant we would like our receipt showing zero balance, the manager was quickly pulled to the line. We were lucky to get 10% off. He told us that he worked around our schedule because he came to the house late for the "issues" visit. Are you serious? But since we signed a contract and the work was technically done, we paid. 4/26- I decided to fully paint the doors. I'm taking down the deadbolt on the back door to paint and realize they never put screws into the striker plate. This makes the entire assembly weaker and vulnerable. Again, I have to call and inform them of their mistakes. They came out the next morning to FINALLY finish the job. I selected Procraft because of their A rating on Angie's List and good reviews to back it up. I have no idea how they got that rating as they are clearly incompetent and don't really care about how they treat their customers.

The salesman seemed very knowledgeable and arrived on time. Although he did not measure the windows, he gave a verbal estimate that was within the ballpark of other estimates we received. The estimate was for 15 windows, which included two sliding doors. The reason for choosing another company had to do with rebates available. I would definitely use Procraft, as they seem to have high quality windows (they have both wood framed and vinyl) and have been in the business for a long time.

They did the work. We had a bit of a price problem, though we got it straightened out. It really boils down to the salesman. We were disappointed in him. Rest of it went alright.

We were trying to understand our options for the products and pricing and he kept saying "tell me what you want". When I articulated that the ballpark cost seemed high to me, a constructive response, his response was to get an attitude and say "I don't want to argue" when what he was really doing was arguing. The installer was arrogant, then argumentative, then insulting. I have never had a sales person come to my home and have a worse experience than I just had.

Excellent with all phases of project from defining and ordering the products to the final installation. The installers were phenomenal. They had to deal with a sinking porch of an old house that I was unaware of and the final alignment of the door is perfect. I highly recommend this company for their professional and courteous service, and great products.

Excellent work. Very professional and prompt every time. Very friendly and helpful. They sold us what we needed, rather than trying to upsale to something we didn't want. Pleasant experience from sale to installation and the windows are beautiful. I highly recommend them!!

From start to finish, all was delivered and installed on time and with no inconvenience to us. We would highly recommend PROCRAFT.

From the beginning meeting with the salesperson, through the measuring and installation processes, and dealing with minor manufacturing issues afterwards, ProCraft people were very nice and responsive to work with. The salesman seemed to understand quickly what we were hoping for and led us to choose windows we now couldn't be happier with, both in terms of their appearance, functionality, and in terms of how professionally they were installed. The price was very competitive with other estimates we had gotten, especially given the high quality of the windows we chose. I always felt comfortable having ProCraft people in our home, finding them very friendly and trustworthy. The installation process itself was quicker and more painless than I could have imagined, the installers clearly being very experienced, careful and competent. I much appreciated their use of a local manufacturer for the windows themselves, making dealing with the manufacturing issue much easier. And their office staff was always very responsive and helpful and reassuring to talk to, and never lost track of us. This was one of the best experiences with professional contractors that we have had.

The installers were great, first class. On time, very protective of our outdoor plants and indoor furniture, covered their shoes and covered the floors with tarps; new exactly what they were doing and did it safely. We couldn't be more happy. The product also is excellent.

I appreciated that they were very much on time, polite, and they did a good job.

They replaced 3 windows, the fourth window was a part of a sliding door. They were all floor to ceiling windows. It turned out wonderful. It is nicely sealed. There is no indication of leaking or water coming in. It looks good, keeps the air out and is dry. Everything is working the way that it is supposed to.

The work is shotty and doesn't hold over time, very unprofessional, and very very expensive. They are good to respond but everything else was really bad.

Way too high of an off the top of the head estimate, nothing in writing!

Excellent all the way....The Procraft representative (Dennis Johns) came out right away to give us an estimate , plus he showed us all the specs on the two windows that we wanted to replace,(eg: the "grids" , the style, how the new latches work,etc)..... Dennis then measured everything immediately and then we discussed prices. We then agreed on a price and Dennis called his administration office (right way) to set up another appointment for our windows to be re-measured by the Measurement expert (ie: Sky). Anyhow, representative Sky then came out to our home to re-measure our windows a few days later. Sky was great. Then "Procraft representative" Sky told us when the windows would arrive at his office, and that as soon as the windows arrived, we could set up an appointment date to have them installed. Anyhow, the windows arrived and we set up a date for window installments. Then on the date of the installments, the window technician (Brian) came out and did an amazing job. He removed both of the old windows (which were both located on the 2nd top floor, & were very LARGE windows) and then proceeded to install the new ones. He then tested the new windows and cleaned the entire area up (both outside and inside our home)...The window installer Brian was amazing, very personable, and extremely knowledgeable about window installation. After Brian left, a few days later, a PROCRAFT administrator called us to make sure that everything went well & that we were pleased w/ our new windows. ....Anyhow, I would highly recommend this company for any window installation or door installation. If ever we need to replace another window or door, we will surely call this company back.... FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY.

I would recommend them highly. People came on time. They measured accurately and the people who installed the windows did a great job. Any problems they came across, they fixed without a hassle. We painted it ourselves and they were willing to deliver the windows so we can paint them before they can install.

Loads of issues, scratched glass, panes installed backwards, but most worked out. However now I have window panes that are failing. Understandable due to age and wear. Called pro craft for repair information they referred me to the Glass Dr, said they would be too expensive for me. Terrible customer service, were not interested in my window issues in the least.

Excellent work and products. Good follow-up. Nice folks. Very happy with our windows.

The guys arrived on time and were friendly and professional. They worked well together and got right to work. I was kept informed of what they were doing and how it was going. There was no clean up for me because they did it all! I would have no doubts about using this company again.

I got a quote from them and they said could not do it, they were telling me about other doors. I think the thing that I did not appreciate so much was he had the signal book with all the pictures and all this different things that they do I felt like it was to impress me before we got to the doors, The salesman was professional. I am sure they do a great job but they were not for us.

Salesman was on time and helpful in recommendations for this rehab project. He was patient in discussing alternatives and ideas. Windows were ordered and arrived on time. Work was coordinated with our remodeling contractor and completed promptly. The job was well done with no hassles.
