Description of Work: we requested them to come out and give us a quote on a repair for a water filtration system. they came out they charged us for the quotes and we never heard from them again even though the manager assured me that we would receive the quote shortly after I complained.

Description of Work: We had a plugged drain in a bathtub. I tried to clear it, to no avail. Jim Dandy came out, cleared it without opening up a wall(!!), and was out of there in about half an hour. |Very professional, informative, polite guy. |I'd call them again.

Description of Work: I forgot the name of the gentleman that came out, but he was absolutely wonderful. He helped identify other work that needed to be done, recommended companies to use for the other services needed, and was great in helping me to coordinate the work of 3 different companies. Prices were very reasonable, I would definitely use them again!

Description of Work: Jon Hoffman, project manager, and his crew were professional, quick, friendly, and he kept us informed when our initial drain cleaning turned into a much bigger job (through no fault of theirs). He ALWAYS answered his phone and helped us deal with a third party. I will ask specifically for Jon to run any future jobs.

Description of Work: A Jim Dandy plumber came out on Saturday, March 22 to take a look at a toilet that bubbled when we drained the bath tub. He pulled the toilet up and used a camera to inspect the line. He found a small section of the sewer line that was offset due to settling, and some of my daughter's flushable wipes clogging things up. He cleared the wipes using the camera then called an estimator right out to get us an estimate on the sewer line repairs. After collecting the info for the estimate the estimator reset the toilet, and said he would get us the estimate Monday or Tuesday after speaking with the city permit office. | |This is where we had our only problem with Jim Dandy. Communication was a bit slow. We waited, and I called in several times, but we didn't get an estimate until April 5th. The estimator had sent it to the wrong email address, which seemed odd since I'd received our invoice from the original plumber via email. We returned the signed estimate on April 20th, and suggested the 24th for the work. I didn't receive a response confirming that date until the morning of the 24th. Since all the work was outside this didn't cause any issues, but it would have been nice to know ahead of time. I was also under the impression that we would get a copy or link to the sewer inspection video, and we never did. It's not a big deal, but would be nice to have as reference for future issues. | |They replaced the offset piece of sewer pipe, replaced it with a cleanout, and hydro jetted the sewer line. Every employee we spoke to at Jim Dandy was polite and professional, and all the work done was excellent. The communication issues were minor, and the good service made up for it. We will definitely call them if we have plumbing issues in the future.

Description of Work: Unclogged the main. Service was professional, but they showed up near the end of the 2-hour scheduled window.

Description of Work: I had the kitchen cast iron double sink reset, a new vanity and sink installed in main bathroom with my existing faucet, the toilet base sealed in place, and new guts installed in the down stairs toilet. All work was done in one visit with all parts needed on his truck.

Description of Work: Replaced toilet flange. It went well, except that the silicone sealant around the base of the toilet has since failed. Maybe the old silicone should have been completely removed? |

Description of Work: Let me begin my review by stating CLEARLY that from the time Jim Dandy came to my home on 5/9/2014, until the time they completed the repairs (both early AND for less than quoted) - I have absolutely NOTHING but glowing accolades for their company and their plumbers. | |That said, getting them TO the house was a little difficult. Mike was the initial plumber to come out - I liked him a lot and trusted him completely. Mike was not able to be there for the work due to an unexpected emergency and we had Sam come and help instead. Sam was TERRIFIC. Working with the office staff was where we had a small challenge - but apparently the office just switched computer programs (explained by Sam on the day of the service in detail) and they were having some major system glitches. I wish I had known that before Sam explained it, because I was a little frustrated with the change of dates/times (I had already arranged time off from work) and then had a confusing and nerve-wracking moment when I was called letting me know they were at my home when I did not schedule them to be - but the office took full control and responsibility for the system issues. | |All computer issues aside - these people deserve an A+. I have no doubt under normal operating conditions that everything would have been done to my satisfaction - and the little pre-service snafu's aside, the experience was not only excellent, but ENCOURAGING. We absolutely intend to make them our go-to company for all plumbing services in the future and will be recommending to ALL friends, family, co-workers to use them too. Super efficient, super reasonable - just SUPER!

Description of Work: Jim Dandy's Plumbing repaired a leaky bathtub faucet that had been leaking at a steady drip. I am torn on this review. The company did a great job showing up when they said they would and they fixed our problem within an hour. Then, last week (three weeks later!)they called me and asked me if I could write them another check because they lost the original check, which I had given to the plumber, Ryan, on the day of the repair. I was able to call my financial institution to find out if the check had been cashed--it hadn't--so I put a stop payment on it. Here's the problem: Ryan had also written my husband's driver's license number on the check. Now, we don't know where that check is, and we are now subject to identity theft because of this. I am fed up with companies, such as this one, carelessly handling my information. Three weeks ago, I would've referred them; now,I cannot, in good conscious, refer anyone who could be so careless. Their $184.00 plumbing job has cost me more in worry and inconvenience--hopefully, no monetary damages will result from it. I cannot recommend them.

Description of Work: They came out in a timely manner but did not ever get back to me with an estimate. I followed up once with a phone call, but never received an estimate. It's been almost a month now and I've obviously got someone else to do the job.

Description of Work: We have a sewer pump that goes uphill to the sewer. It stopped working on a rainy Sunday. I called Jim Dandy because they had done work for us in the past. Ryan, I think was his name, came right out, diagnosed the problem and fixed it. He explained to us what had happened and made an adjustment to the pump that should prevent it from happening again. Then he tested it a number of times and reported that it worked. Needless to say, we were very happy and would use them again.
