They did a great job. They are very professional and they did a quality job on the plumbing work. They came in and gave their price. They were prompt. They were there when they said they were going to be there. They gave me an estimate over the phone base on my description. They did some extra work but they did not charge us with it. They are very friendly. I was generally happy with them. I do not have anything negative to say about them.

The plumber, Derek, showed up on time and was very conscientious in regards to providing the most service in his billable time. I also appreciated that he was communicative, explaining what needed to be done and why. In the end, it wasn't a 100% solvable issue, but this was due to a limitation of what I wanted to do (cost/time). I'm happy overall with the services provided. I'll use them again for some future projects that I'm planning.

They were unable to get their camera in the drain because of an elbow section.... which is fine. The guy said the only way to scope it would be to dig up the concrete near the drain and add an access point. He said he'd have his guy come over that day or the next day to give me a bid for the work - but nobody ever showed up.

We have a sewage pump for our basement bathroom and washer in the garage. When our pump went out, only a year after moving into our house, we called the plumber that the previous owner had used to get the sewage system "up to code" so it would pass inspection. When this guy came, he basically told me that they (his own company) did the bare minimum to get it to pass code, then without even pulling out the old pump, told me that it would cost $1,800 to install a new pump and send a camera through the line to inspect our pipes to check for other problems that could have caused the pump to go out. I called Jim Dandy for a second opinion, and just over the phone, they told me that the sewage camera was totally unnecessary because if there was a problem with the pipe, all our plumbing would be backed up-which it wasn't. They came out within an hour to take look at our problem to give me a bid. Derek came and was very friendly and patiently explained everything that he would do and his bid priced out everything it would cost. He quoted me $700, $500 for the new pump and $200 for labor. I'm not sure what the other guy was planning on charging me for, as a good quality pump only cost me $500. Derek was friendly, professional, and fast. He made sure I knew what he was doing every step of the way and explained every part of the bill. After finishing his work, he adjusted my bill according to the work he actually did and saved me $50 from his original bid. I am very pleased with Jim Dandy and will definitely use them in the future! And please, don't get rid of the driver's doors--hilarious!

Excellent - I'd hire again. Two men showed up and did a detailed clean job. Expertly removed \ replaced water heater and also fixed a valve. They also helped me by soldering some copper tubing which was in a tightly confined space next to a gas line.

They were very responsive and professional in attending to the problem. They coordinated with our tenant and though I didn't see the work done, the tenant was happy with the results. The only issue I had was getting the bill paid. I initially had them email the bill to me but never got it (checked my junk mail) and then I contacted them on their website and that wasn't successful either and finally I had to call them to get the bill paid so there was some extra work I had to do to get this aspect of the service taken care of.

Prompt, courteous and 100% worth it. Will be calling them for the next time.

A previous sewer scope inspection had revealed that a section of my sewer line was out-of-grade, which could cause a backup at some point in the future. That inspection suggested a small (2-3 foot) fix would do the trick. Of three bids I obtained, Jim Dandy was the lowest, and they went out of their way to schedule the repair within 24 hours, around my schedule. Once the hold was dug and the line exposed, it turned out a larger repair was appropriate...they performed it without any objection and at no additional cost beyond the original bid. Maui showed me the work, to ensure it was done to my satisfaction (it was), before filling in the hole and carefully replacing the original sod on top. Make no mistake, professional sewer repair is expensive. In my case, it was around $350 per hour, for one man with minimal equipment. Aside from the cost (which to be fair was the lowest bid), I was extremely pleased with the service and would recommend them absolutely.

The technician called in advance and said he could arrive earlier than the initial 2 hour time window, which was great. We thought we had a sewer line obstruction/clog but it turned out it was a malfunction in the sewer pump that services our entire houseboat community. He went above and beyond trying to solve the problem and troubleshoot. He stayed longer than required to find out the outcome of the sewer pump issue which required another company be called in. Really appreciated his helpful attitude and good work. Said he felt guilty having to charge me. But if it wasn't for him checking with my neighbor to see if they were also experiencing difficulty, I wouldn't have known about the bigger issue

We needed a pressure reducing valve put in as our water pressure was too high. Jim Dandy was better over the phone so we made an appointment for the plumber come out and give us an estimate. He was able to come back the next day and it cost less than the estimate. Very nice people.

I had a sewer ejector fail on a Sunday and need to have it repaired ASAP. I was able to get a ballpark quote over the phone Monday morning and have a plumber dispatched. I had to make multiple calls to their dispatcher due to problems with another plumbing company. Jim Dandy was friendly and understanding of my situation and helped me negotiate the conflict with the other company. Their plumber arrived on time gave me an onsite-quote that was less than the phone-quote. He started the work immediately, finished faster than expected and charged less than the quote. I have tried a couple other plumbing companies in the past and Jim Dandy was far better and I plan to stick with them in the future.

I live in a neighborhood with many older homes, and many of the homes around me had sewer lines that were failing. I wasn't having any problems with mine, but I have an older home, and it seemed unlikely that everyone but me was having sewer failures. So I called a company and had my sewer line scoped. The sewer line was definitely in terrible shape, and they recommended several companies who could work on replacing the sewer ilne (this company only did scoping work). One of the companies was Jim Dandy. I checked them out on Angies List and they were rated very well, so I thought I would call and get a bid. Jim Dandy scheduled an appointment immediately, they looked at the video inspection I had and recommended replacing the pipe. They quoted me a price that was quite reasonable, I hired them immediately. About 3 hours later, they had a crew at my house and started working. They had to do alot of digging by hand in my back yard (which was quite difficult because it is predominantly clay). Everyone worked extremely hard, I was amazed at the amount of work that had to be done to replace a sewer line. It took about two weeks to complete the job, but that was due to the fact that we had a long stretch of rain and they couldn't replace the sidewalk when the weather was so wet. Overall, I was happy with the job they did, the price they charged, and the work crews associated with the job. Everyone was hardworking, answered all my questions, and they were very pleasant to deal with.

After seeing how highly Jim Dandy was rated on Angie's List, we called and set up an appointment for our free estimate. Ryan, (Maverick), arrived at the house within the window. He took off his shoes at the door and began going from room to room. He not only answered each question in detail, he gave a short history on what kind of pipes the house has as well as how our toilets work. He recommended places to buy parts and told us exactly what we needed.Then he did something amazing! He gave us his cell phone number and said to give him a call when we were at the store. He lived close and would stop in and give us a hand. We called and he came! He helped us through the process and made us comfortable in the process. Ryan,(Maverick), retuned to the house to do the jobs. He worked continuously and the estimate was right on the dot! The new faucet,toilets and shower heads look and work great. The garbage disposal does not hurt our ears now. Ryan is a professional with an old fashioned air of courtesy. He went the extra mile by giving us his cell number and helping us with our purchases. He loves his work and it is apparent by his knowledge and enthusiasm.we will use Jim Dandy for all of our plumbing needs.

We came home from vacation to a basement flooded with sewer water. We called Jim Dandy Plumbing because of the number and quality of their Angie's List reviews, and were not disappointed! We placed our call late on Saturday afternoon, totally jetlagged and exhausted, and Carl was at our door by 5pm. He fixed our problem, even though it meant working late, and was a pleasure to deal with. Recommended.

The work started on-schedule (actually, a bit earlier than promised, which was great). Work continued diligently until the job was complete. They ran into one major, unplanned problem when the components on the city side of the water feed "froze" in the open position, and they had to plug it up as well as they could and bail out the trench until the city arrived to replace the part. This was handled as calmly and professionally as you could imagine, which helped us to keep from panicking at the sight of the water spout in the front yard. Work completed on schedule, despite them having lost nearly a day to the water line leak. Costs were exactly as quoted, and all work promised was delivered. We ran into two issues afterwards which required calling them back, both of which were addressed swiftly and without additional expense. In all, I would encourage people to use Jim Dandy for major plumbing and sewer work. The one caution I would add, and this is for any major work performed by any contractor: do a full walking review of the work at its completion. We didn't, and the result was that a minor oversight by Jim Dandy almost became a major problem for us. Had we done the inspection at the end of the work, we would have caught the issue, and Jim Dandy would have corrected it in about 5 minutes (which they ended up doing 3 weeks later, when we spotted the issue).

The first time we dealt with Jim Dandy Plumbing was about 6 months ago when we had a new sink/faucet/disposal put into our kitchen. We thought everything was great but none of the faucet parts were tigheted which we learned on this most recent visit. We called Jim Dandy Plumbing come out when we had a faulty part in our kitchen sink At first they were very responsive to come out and look at the issue. They found out it was a part from the faucet manufacturer that and gone bad. We contacted the manufacturer and got a replacement part. When Jim Dandy Plumbing came out to put in the replacement part they left the sink leaking and the sprayer no longer works. I tried calling them to get it resolved and nobody was available. I had water leaking down the backboard of our sink and asked them if I was just supposed to put a bucket under it the whole weekend at which point they said they would call me back. Later they called and gave me the number of the installer who put the replacement part in. I called him and he said he "wanted to make it right" and then he got off the phone with me because his company was calling. I told him to call me back and let me know how we can get it resolved. After that I heard nothing but crickets, no call, no follow-up. I called the installer back and went straight to voice mail. I ended up calling another company to get it resolved and will be filing a small claims lawsuit to recover the money for the faulty install.

They came out and spent several hours tracking down the problem and fixing it.

Everyone at Jim Dandy was great! A quick call got an appointment set - and the repairman arrived on time and was very polite. It was just a few hours, and we had the old grunge toilet out - and a new beautiful one in! Thank guys - will reccomend for sure...!

From start to finish, these guys were really nice, friendly and professional. 'Wolverine' arrived on time, assessed the situation and had it fixed within an hour. He showed me the damage and how he fixed it which will help me out next time if there's a similar problem.

I was a little nervous at first because they say they give quote over the phone, but they actually charge you $49 for an on-site quote (applied to bill if you hire them). The quote was for a little over $900, but when the plumber arrived - right on time - on the schedule date, he identified other problems (giant hole in another old pipe) that almost doubled the quote and required a second man for the job. He and his helper came back two days later - arriving right on time - and began their work. We are so happy with their professionalism and the quality of the work they did. While working they identified another corroded pipe - which slightly raised the quote again. Normally I would be a little dubious of service providers continually raising their quote as they worked, but this crew actually took the time at each step to show my husband the problem, explain what needed to be done to fix it, and the risks associated with not fixing it now. Obviously corroded galvanized steel pipes need to be replaced, especially those with quarter-sized holes in them. The quote we were given was based on an assumption the work could be completed in a business day, but these guys stayed until after 9:00 p.m. to finish up, cleaned up after themselves and charged what they quoted. I would highly recommend Jim Dandy to anyone who needs plumbing help and we will be using them again.
