They missed the first appointment but seemed very enthusiastic about the job when they arrived for the second appointment. However, things went downhill from there. They promised two workers to arrive first thing in the morning and one arrived at nine and the other at 9:30. They worked for a short period of time and then disappeared until late in the day, accomplishing very little. This type of inconsistent behavior continued until we had to fire them. We were then presented with a bill that was way out of line for the work provided. I would strongly recommend using ANY OTHER plumbing service than Jim Dandy.

The guy that came from Jim Dandy, his truck was totally disorganized and I think he cost me more money because he was disorganized and didn't have a part, even though he knew exactly what needed to be done. Their company scheduled me for when they had a meeting. Then when the guy didn't show up I called to find out where he was and they said that someone should have told me that they always have a meeting on Thursday morning and there is no way that anybody could have been there at eight. They should have known that when they scheduled the appointment. So I was dissatisfied with that. The work was fine, but the guy took a long time because he couldn't find the parts and he tried to leave in the middle of the job to drive back to the shop and get the part, when he could have just driven to the hardware store which is two blocks away. It was a fiasco. He did the work, he got it done, everything works, but dealing with him was just a fiasco.

He arrived on time, flushed the toilet, snaked it, flushed it again. I'm not sure what else he did, because I was not in the room the whole time. But my toilet works now.

Carl came out and unblocked my sewage lineright away with 150 foot snake that Southwest Plumbing couldnt do. He pointed out that my toilet was leaking also and said if I need a replacement then he can install it. I ran to home depot and Carl fixed all my problems. He was very personable and went over and beyoned. I was very happy with him and he gave good advice. The price was reasonable too. I would highly recommend him to others.

From the first phone call until they cleaned up and drove away they were polite, professional, expediant and complete. There prices were in line or better than most other places. I would give them an A+ if it were an option!

Ryan did a great job. He arrived on time and was pleasant and professional. He worked quickly and thoroughly. I appreciate that he completed both tasks within the minimum half-hour. That kept the cost down! I'm also grateful that Jim Dandy was able to send someone out the very next day. I highly recommend them.

The workers were great. The office staff and project manager were unprofessional and did not follow through on agreed on tasks. The original bid was changed without consultation or a phone call to let me know there had been an error. The project manager did not follow through on agreed on work dates and in fact did not show up for 2 days of work. My neighbor phoned the company for us, I was away, and asked for the company to check the sewer line as they found a rat in their back yard. They left the back hoe sitting on my front lawn for an extra week killing off the grass. They did not send a final bill for 2 weeks and then called looking for the payment.

The sink faucet installation and garbage disposal installation was perfect. No problems there at all. The refrigerator water line replacement went well and we were able to avoid cutting a hole in newly repaired drywall. The Water heater was a bit of an issue. We had our water heater replaced on 2/18 and everything was running fine. The one issue we had was that we started to smell gas in our garage where the water heater was just replaced. I waited throughout the weekend, but still smelled it so I called Jim Dandy to ask if this was normal. It wasn't, so they sent someone out (David) to check on it. Sure enough there was a crack in the valve, so they went ahead and replaced everything for no charge and very quickly. Overall I am happy they took care of us and made it right (they have a year warranty on their work).

The technician came within the window of time and was courteous. Unfortunately, he did not have the replacement overflow part even though I had given that information to the intake receptionist (or whatever you call the person answering the phone who was very thorogh in getting all of the information down) so he was gone for 45 minutes getting a part and we were charged for that time. The price at the end was shockingly high given how simple the tasks were. The technician also left wax ring goo in our sink that I had to clean up which was a small thing, but for $380.00 it all started to feel like a bad deal. So I called the office the next day and the general manager was reasonable to talk with and took off $80.00 which helped. However, upon further reflection I think it was a mistake to hire a large company with all of this overhead etc because they have to charge so much money-- a $49.00 service charge over and above the $159.00 per hour charge and travel time. It was a discouraging first experience using Angie's List but I learned a huge lesson; I need to ask many more questions up front. And I think hiring a smaller firm with less overhead makes more sense that the one at the top of the Angie's List reviews, etc. This is a newcomers learning curve story I guess....

The technician arrived exactly when he said he would. I had called for "emergency" service since we had to shut off the water supply to the whole house for the leak. He showed up within a few hours of the initial call. He was very professional and fixed the problem in about 20 minutes. I had him try and replace another part but the old part wouldn't come off. We decided to leave the old part on rather than risk damaging the pipe by trying to remove it. All together he worked for probably about 40 minutes but only charged for 30. The rate was good and I paid about half what I was expecting for late night weekend emergency service. Thanks!

In our split level, our downstairs bathroom became flooded with water during a shower being taken upstairs. We had no clue what was going on. A plumber diagnosed the problem as a clogged main drain, sending sewage contaminated water back up the lowest drain point. We then contacted Jim Dandy. Jamal was there within a couple of hours. He was courteous, knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. Our problem is resolved. We'd definitely hire Jamal again.

Tub leaked through ceiling when kids took a bath. David quickly found problem and fixed it. Kept me informed about schedule and had a great courteous manner. Mentioned coupon from Angie's list on the phone and his paperwork already reflected it when he came in. I am writing this company down as our go to plumber. Thanks!

After having a few items quoted by a few other plumbers, I called Jim Dandy to schedule with Ryan. He arrived at the time provided and went to work replacing the internals of a toilet. There was a missing part to the installation. He let me know what was happening and went to the hardware down the street for the additional part. After the toilet was complete, Ryan ran a water line through my crawl space for my refrigerator. Both jobs were complete in about 3 hours. When Ryan was finished, I remembered the main shut off valve in my basement was dripping, he went and fixed that issue in about a minute as a courtesy. I don't believe I will ever need to get estimates from another plumber. Jim Dandy will be my first call for any future plumbing needs.

Repaired an incorrectly installed bathtub faucet. Ryan quickly resolve the issue which was a plug that was not taken out of the bathtub plumbing when it was installed by the previous owner. The area where he was working was cleaned up and estimates were provided for additional work. Installing a water line for my refrigerator and repairing a toilet. I wanted to get a few more estimates as that work was a little more involved.

On the Saturday when this occurred, I had a full day planned, but found that some nasty water was backing up into the tub when I used the sink in the kitchen or flushed the bathroom toilet ? so the day would be full, but my plans had definitely changed. I spent the morning trying remedies including Drano and a manual snake, but I could not even reach the clog through the tub drain or overflow. I called Jim Dandy Plumbing in Seattle at about noon and spoke with Neil. He was entirely pleasant and helpful and said he would check with his team already in the field and, just as he said he would, Neil called back promptly to let me know when it would be possible for someone to help me with the problem. He was able to add me to the schedule for Edgar who was working on the Eastside and provided a time several hours later when Edgar would be available. I requested a call from Edgar when he was heading in my direction and Neil said that he would arrange it. Several hours later, exactly in the time frame that Neil had provided, Edgar called and was at the door within another 15 minutes. Edgar was great. He was also pleasant and helpful with a can-do attitude and great sense of humor. My house has a crawlspace with a hatch that would not accommodate the power snake, so Edgar removed the toilet as the way to get to the clog. The clog was well down in the pipe and took a while to clear, but after it was apparently clear Edgar suggested a test to confirm it. He initially asked about filling the clothes washer and draining it for the test, but the LG washer I have has low water usage - and I could not see a setting on the electronic controls that would allow it to do anything but run a load that would have taken at least half an hour. We opted to fill both sinks in the kitchen and let them drain simultaneously to test the flow. The test was a success, the toilet also flushed perfectly and everything drained like a champ. Edgar replaced the toilet and cleaned up the area ? it was a great relief to have the problem resolved and a delight to have found Jim Dandy Plumbing. Their professionalism and positive attitude both from Neil making the arrangements and Edgar providing the service were exceptional. I have been putting off some other plumbing work (upgrading shower fixtures, removing a dead Insinkerator) in part because I had been dreading rolling the dice on finding a great, reliable service provider, but I am now looking forward to tackling those projects with the help of Jim Dandy Plumbing!

Provider showed up on time, trouble shot the problems, replaced the toilet guts, pulled one toilet and replaced the seal and reinstalled the toilet.

Quick and efficient clearing of blockage caused by two set of roots about 70 feet down the line. Used a cutting bit down the line. After the line was cleared Jamal offered a video tour of the line, since the line is almost 70 years old, I thought it was good ideal to check the condition. The line was surprisingly good condition for its age but will need attention in the future. Jamal was courteous and competent. I would use Jim Dandy again.

Decided not to award contract for video and sewer cleaning based on pricing.

Jon did a great job! He was very helpful and knowledgeable. He was helpful in guiding us through the whole process. We would have him back anytime!

I contacted Top Gun based on their Angie's list ranking. A nice young man, Dave, came out on 8/22 as arranged and made some good suggestions about how he would approach the repair. He left and said he would e-mail an estimate. The estimate did not arrive. I spoke with Larry and Mel form the office several times. They were very nice and assured me that I would get an estimate or that Larry would come out and provide and estimate on the spot. I never did get an estimate or any follow up. I finally gave up and went with another plumber who did the job for $2650.00
