Excellent. Russell was able to accomplish in less than two hours what two other firms were unable to accomplish. He was courteous, professional, effective and very neat in his work.

cleanout job was good. The camera man however was hard to follow in his conversation, couldn't seem to give good answers about further procedure or what it would cost . Finally we decided to take no further action at this time even though we understand there are repairs to the system required. Communication skills were just not there. The cleanout man however was a different story. No problems , very professional.

My daughter bought her condo 3 months ago. At the time a new shower valve was installed. Since then her father and I have had the hardest time trying to get the faucet handle installed. The valve didn't seem adaptable to anything we tried! We were so frustrated (as was our daughter). Called Jim Dandy and Anthony came out. Within the hour he had the shower up and working! He also took the time to install the tub spout and new shower head my daughter had purchased. Anthony was very pleasant and knowledgable. Again, thank you!

It was perfect and they have understood whatever the problem was easily and they have correct diagnosis while others are not.

Their technician, Kenny, called to let me know when to expect him and was on time. He was knowledgeable, answered my questions thoroughly and professionally. The job included a video scoping follow-up to make sure potential problems had been removed. Very satisfied with their service.

The maintenance guys were very knowledgeable, counseled me to only have it 'scoped every two years and water-jet as necessary. Helpful, gave me peace of mind, and saved me $$$!

A 3 day job estimate took 3 weeks to complete. The communication between the people who dug, subcontractors, inspectors, plumbers was non existent. The inspection failed on 4 counts and they didn't come back to even read it until I called multiple times on one day to get someone back out. The people that finally came out were angry they had to fix issues someone else did because "they were too lazy to do it right". The bill arrived with an extra charge for permits fee that was included in the original bid. It was a **** show from beginning to the end. I think

Employees worked diligently into the night to get the job done, despite the rain! However, manager to repay the 10% Angie's List discount, but never did. I called the office several times to no avail. This is very unprofessional and dishonest.

It went terribly. It took them the better part of an afternoon to come up with telling me that they didn't know how to fix the issue and could only offer to stop the leak by jackhammering my basement and installing a dewatering pump. They dug up the drain and left a heaping pile of dirt and mud on a piece of visqueen and placed a dewatering pump that they had purchased at Home Depot in the hole and hooked it up to an existing pump 10 feet away. They charged me 50% of $2500 to do this and said they would bill the remainder when the job was complete and they would call me the following week to schedule.. I didn't hear back from them and contacted them multiple times with no response so I ended up having to hire another contractor to come and fill the hole and pour the concrete. I then receive a bill in the mail for the remainder of the job even thought they never came back. I attempted to call them and was put through to their accounting voicemail and never received a return call. Now they have liened my property because I didn't pay for work they didn't do. This company is criminal in their actions and I would strongly suggest looking to another organization when looking for plumbing or sewer services.

I truly appreciated the education that I received through this 'sewer' repair process. Cody, from Jim Dandy, was my first bid. He took me thru the complete process and was very interested in my goals versus a quick fix! He explained the problem enough so that for my next 2 bids I was telling them what was happening like a PRO! The two Jim Dandy technicians located the problem, took care of the root and massive ball growing inside the sewer line. My yard/job site was then put back together, you would never know that they had been there. Even in the rain they came with smiles on their faces. As said before, I truly appreciated the professional service that I received throughout the entire process. Many Thanks!!

They were prompt, efficient, helpful and professional. They came out the morning after I called to figure out what needed to be done, and were repairing the line the following day. They were very clean while they were working and left the area very nicely put back together. They dug under my sidewalk instead of cutting the concrete, which would have made the job quicker and easier for them.

The bid was competitive, they were on time (actually finished early) and cleaned up as they stated. I am still waiting for the sidewalk repair and it's been 5 weeks. They sub the concrete work and require payment in full prior to that piece being complete. I will contact them and see where they are on scheduling that. Otherwise I am very happy with the work. I've had them out many times for other jobs and found the staff to be professional and great to work with.

Jim Dandy did a fine job. The Jim Dandy supervisor gave a clean quote with all the details and pricing up-front. Also, I checked the Seattle City web site and saw that Jim Dandy was certified to do this type of work. I had a prior, lower quote from another outfit, but they weren't certified by the city so I didn't want to take the risk. For a sewer line, I figured it's better to be safe than sorry. Anyway, Jim Dandy found the blockage, cut out some old pipe, installed a 2-way clean-out, then did a scope to show the main line was clear. Jim Dandy also used some special transition piece/gasket, to make the connection between the old concrete pipe and the new PVC pipe. The city inspector was impressed with their work. Final back-fill was completed so now we're good to go!

Jim Dandy charges $49 service fee, not applied to the bill if work is done. Then they charge $219/hr which is not pro-rated. The fix of the p-trap took about 5 minutes. I was recommended to replace the nipple coming out of the wall ASAP for a better connection. The plumber goes out to his truck, writes up a bill for $155. He explains they do not pro-rate the $219/hr. So Jim Dandy wants to charge me $270 for 5 minutes of work. He knocks off 1/2 hour and a $25 Angies List discount, which is how we got to $155. What really ****** me off is that for that half hour of time charged that was not used he could have replaced the nipple coming out of the wall. So thanks for nothing Jim Dandy. If I had any idea I was being charged for time not used I would have had him do the recommended work. That is super dishonest to charge for time and not do the job recommended that would have fit in that time. The search for a trusty worthy plumber is on-going. :( This is a follow up to my review on 6/4/17 regarding the leaking p-trap. First off, my p-trap was still leaking after there service call, in 2 different parts of the trap. 1 problem solved, 2 problems created. Jim Dandy reached out to me yesterday to discuss my negative review. All they wanted to do was explain in detail their charges and claim to be cheaper than the competition. That it costs them $270 just for someone to show up at my door to cover cost of insurance and marketing. I have recently had several thousand dollars of plumbing work done so I'm very familiar with the competition and have gotten bids from at least 6 well known companies. Not one of them had this pricing policy. They explained the tech that was sent to my house was not authorized to replace the nipple as recommended which is why they just charged me for just showing up at my door. If you are going to charge $270 to show up, you better send someone capable of fixing the problem. I told them exactly what the problem was when I scheduled. His resolution to my negative review was to send someone else out waiving the $49 service fee. So I get to throw another $220 (no pro-rations on 1st hour!) literally down the drain for someone to come do the job I ALREADY PAID FOR. Insult to injury.

I'm not entirely sure what happened during my first interactions with them, but this second time went swimmingly. They were friendly, courteous and got the job done.

Instead of following the water line that was there he created a new water line and charged me $2000.00 than what he quoted me. When I took him to court he put a lien on my house. They judge rewarded me 900.00 back and took the lien off of my property. I would not recommend him to anyone.

The big deal of $649.00 for 2 hours of hydrojetting was not used and a refund was promised by both Jim Dandy and Angie's List.

Very well. Explained everything he would be doing. Very professional and polite. Also cleaned up nicely afterwards.

Kenny was great! He was super responsive and communicative. My bathtub was backing up and so I called my landlord who was out of town. Kenny did a great job of communicating with all of us. My landlord has required this service several times over the years and she said that in her experience Kenny went above and beyond the call of duty to complete the project to her satisfaction. He was fast, efficient and easy to work with.

It's hard to even articulate how much I regret hiring Jim Dandy for our sewer repair. Jim Dandy demonstrated a general disregard for us and our property when they completed our sewer repair. A couple of the highlights: - Our property looked like a landfill while Jim Dandy was working there. There were fast food wrappers constantly scattered around, and the workers parked their truck on our neighbors' yard. The job also took twice as long as anticipated, with no explanation. - Jim Dandy destroyed our landscaping. What was once a beautiful ivy plant is now a filthy pile of mud falling onto the sidewalk below our property. It's so noticeable that several neighbors have commented on it. Jim Dandy has repeatedly promised to do something about it, and three+ months later it looks worse than ever. The worst part is that there was zero need to dig up our yard - the whole point of trenchless technology is to avoid this - but Jim Dandy misestimated where the sewer line ran, so they dug a huge hole in our yard for absolutely no reason. - On their second attempt, Jim Dandy realized they should have dug up the sidewalk, not our yard. The concrete they used to fill the sidewalk section they dug up in is now crumbling in a manner I've never seen. I honestly didn't realize it was possible for concrete to immediately crumble like this. Again, Jim Dandy has repeatedly promised to remedy this, with zero action. - On our final invoice, I noticed that we were charged several hundred dollars more for our permits than the actual cost. When I asked Patrick of Jim Dandy about this, he said they charge a standard fee to pull permits. This was not previously disclosed, and none of the other bids charged a fee for a process that must take 10 minutes. I considered this very dishonest. - I insisted that Jim Dandy put a camera through the finished line. The camera revealed several pieces of our old pipe lingering in the new line. Jim Dandy promised they'd come over and flush these pieces out, but I'm almost certain this never happened. I don't think I have ever been this frustrated with a company. Do yourselves a favor and do not hire Jim Dandy.

This was the third time I have used Jim Dandy, and I would continue to use them again. The plumber was very helpful and provided additional advice & recommendations. The only thing that bugged me was that his clothes smelled of cigarette smoke. That said, he wore booties in the house, took care not to track in additional dirt, and thoroughly cleaned the work space when he was done, and the cigarette smell did not linger after he was gone. The office staff is very responsive, and plumber came on time, within the specified time period.

Very prompt service. The plumber was very knowledgable and was good at explaining what caused the break, how he fixed it, and how to prevent it from happening again.

It seemed to go well. They were prompt and pleasant. Very, very expensive, but I was desperate and no other plumber had even called me back. Then the tub surround came apart and Jim dandy would not get back to me. I had to pay to replace it and while doing so found that Jim Dandy had covered over rotten wood that also had to be replaced. To add insult to injury, although I paid in full at the time of service, they billed me again, even calling me telling me I owed several hundred dollars more than the original agreed upon amount.
