Description of Work: Scoped the Sewer I was wanting to know location for possible connections and make sure there were no problems. Came on a Saturday, very courteous and professional. Walked me through the process even though he was at the house longer than 1 hour (because he showed me everything he found) did not charge for a second hour. Offered possible cleaning of sewer but not pushy. Got me a good/clear video on YouTube. Negatives were 35 minutes late and I was told the video would be available on Monday followed up on Tuesday and Thursday before the video became available.

Description of Work: i told the company my hot water tank was leaking a worker came out and try to save it by puting parts on it an was charging me when he new i needed a new one so i got one from lowes and he asked if i can have someone to help him so i had 2 people help him an he still charge me full labor When he should of took some money off .cheap scapes

Description of Work: I spoke to Bob at Jim Dandy yesterday morning and told him I needed a plumber to install a gas line for a barbeque on my new deck. I gave him my address and he told me that he had one appointment open for today, between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm. I told him that I would take the appointment. I gave him my name and phone numbers. I came home and waited for the plumber from 3:00 to 4:55 and nobody showed. I called Jim Dandy and the person I spoke to said she had no record of my call. She even called Bob and Scott and they claimed not to know anything about this appointment. I subsequently spoke with one of their managers and he did dispatch a plumber the next morning. Andrew was professional, punctual and friendly when he arrived. He did give me an estimate. I did not choose to go with Jim Dandy because my general contractor had gotten an estimate for 25% of the price. That subcontractor did the job the following day, and I am happy with it.

Description of Work: Replaced toilet that had flooded again. I bought a Toto toilet and received a good price plus it was installed quickly. I'm very pleased with their work.

Description of Work: Shawn was the serviceman and was fast and thorough. He knew the problem and took care of it!! I've used Jim Dandy twice for both large and small jobs. Shawn's a keeper!!

Description of Work: $168 was for "drain cleaning specialist" He made appointment with plumber for certain time, and said plumber would call before coming. Plumber did neither. Finally arrived late, and made subsequent appointment for three days hence. Call in early morning, said plumber could not make that day either.

Description of Work: Blocked sewer line from laundry room was backing up thru the vent pipe. He figured it out and cleared the line. Very nice and professional person. Two hours of up and down a ladder and in and out of the attic and crawl space. Price seemed very fair to me.

Description of Work: I want somebody to put a catch basin in my driveway drain line. I called this company, left a message. They never returned my call. So, no service performed. If a company doesn't return my phone call, how can I trust them to provide good service. Even if they already have plenty of work, or if they don't want to do the particular job I need, they should at least return my call--basic courtesy.

Description of Work: They arrived on time and came with 2 people who seemed very experienced. The price escalated a bit higher than I expected, but the main thing is that I felt the job was done right.

Description of Work: David came out right away and put in a sink clean out access. When the line wouldn't clear, after his considerable effort, he went over all of the possibilities, made recommendations and gave us a best estimate for a worst possible scenario. Umberto and Mike dug up the line and located a sewer clean out that landscaping had obscured. Shawn cleared and videoed the sewer line. Their final bill was considerably less than we had expected. Everything was done in one day. David called again later to make sure we were pleased with the work. These guys were real professionals.

Description of Work: Our house was built in 1932. As learned from this experience, sewage lines and designs of older homes were crudely defined. Our problem was a developing leak in the basement coming from exit of the drain pipe through the foundation. The drain line is solely for water from the washing machine. Detective work involved two scopings and rootings through two existing drains to explore possible solutions. Use of either existing drains were opted out. The final fix involved new 2" piping installed through a new hole bored through the foundation and joined into the 4" main. Some excavation was required to provide the necessary grade for a gravity drain. As an alternative, an optional pump was briefly considered and dismissed. Gravity feed is the better choice. The entire project took a week. We met six members of the Jim Dandy staff in person at different times, plus their dispatcher by phone. Coordination and consultation amongst the staff gave me the feeling that the final fix was optimum. Real experienced professionals! We are so impressed with the Jim Dandy crew, including the dispatcher, that any future plumbing problem will be theirs to solve. I did not get different bids at the outset. In hindsight, the investigative nature of the overall job would have made a firm bid difficult. I am very satisfied.

Description of Work: Phone response was lovely -- charming even! But the price was about double another estimate I received so I went with the less expensive group (with great results!)
