Sterling Pest Service

Rated 1 star because Roger is a nice enough dude. Otherwise would give 0.5 stars. Called Roger based on overall reviews knowing can not make everyone happy so your experience may differ from ours. We had either moles or voles or both. Roger treated for moles by setting 2 traps. Treated for voles as well. I paid him over $200. Quickly caught 1 mole so came back out when I texted him. He moved the traps in back yard beds as I requested but did nothing in the front beds. Did not catch any more in back but they really amped up the destruction in front beds. A few weeks went by and he never came back so I texted him again. He finally showed up and moved traps again in back yard where there was no active moles and did nothing in front. He again did not show up for weeks to do anything in front beds so I texted him again and he showed up a week later and had moved the 2 traps to the front beds. Then he sent me a bill for $80. Seriously For what He caught 1 mole and would not show up for weeks on end. Only came back when I texted him and for the privilege of endless inattention and frustration I was asked to pay an additional $80. I told Roger hiring him was not good value and I would no longer need his services. I requested he come gather his 2 mole traps and we part ways. He ignored my texts, emails and phone calls. That is until he resent me his invoice for $80 and said it was 30 days past due. So I paid it and again instructed him to pick up his traps because our business relationship is terminated. Will see if he attempts to extort me for another $80. He just will not return my calls texts or emails. Buyer beware with this guy. His social skills are limited so that may play a part into his lack of respect and unwillingness to respond. So for about $300 paid I got 1 mole and 2 mole traps. My 5 year old grandson found one and all he cost me was 6 chicken nuggets and Mac n cheese.

I was SO pleased with Roger's work to get rid of some pigeons that built a nest under the eve of our roof. He removed the birds, he cleaned up the debris of the nest and he inserted a mesh barrier so that the couldn't return to the same 'cubby hole' that they originally occupied. He took the time to explain to my husband about their nesting habits and guaranteed his work. If we need pest control services in the future, Roger will be the first person I call.

Hired them several times. Always pleased with outcome.

Same day response to schedule an appointment. Roger removed the beehive quickly. He's a professional. He explanationed why the beehive was there and what he was going to do to remove it. I had full confidence in his abilities and was not disappointed. I will hire him again, if needed.

The work was done promptly and professionally. Roger was very good at explaining everything that was done. Will hire him again !

Communications about when he will be out to move traps and if he found any moles were hit or miss. I had to inquire for updates as they were not given voluntarily. He did show up the first time in a timely manner. Other than that, I really do not know what is going on.

Excellent professional. He arrived early, was thorough, quick, and a pleasure to work with. In addition, he did more work than what was offered by other bidders for the same price. I would hire him again without hesitation.

Showed up for 1st appointment. Was supposed to be here between 9 and 11 but has not shown up. Does not answer his phone. Have paid his fee in full but has not yet finished with the service.

The rats were gone in a short time. The entrance point was blocked and we have not noticed any other evidence of more rats. Very happy with the results.

What he lacks in communication skills he more than makes up in service provided. I had another Pest control company before Sterling. They were not local. After realizing I wanted & needed regular service, I wanted to go local. It was very hard to coordinate the original appointment. Once he finally got to my house, he did a grade job. The other company never went in my crawl space in the 15 months they serviced my home. Sterlings winter service is all about going in my crawl space, spraying & checking for problems. Very impressed.

They were prompt and friendly.

I called Sterling, and Roger came that afternoon to address my yellow jacket issue. He communicated what he was going to do and what to expect once he was finished. And he guaranteed his work. Excellent service.
