Switch Electric LLC

In our three bedrooms, Switch Electric installed new electrical ceiling boxes, appropriate controls, and ceiling fans (with lights). We also had them convert three outlets from being switched to unswitched. Also, in one room, we had them add a dimmer and a track lighting ceiling box. (We then installed the track lighting ourselves.) Additionally, per Redmond electrical code, then install arc-fault protection. The work required working in the attics. We supplied the fan/lights (from Seattle Lighting in Bellevue). They charged no dispatch fee and were in the middle on price compared to two other estimates. They were also the only one to include the legally required Redmond electrical inspection. On the workday, they arrived with a team of three in the morning. Their work was professional and neat. We noticed two small problems caused by miscommunications. They cheerfully come back for an hour and fixed the problems. The work passed Redmond inspectional easily. We love the fans and the lights and highly recommend Switch Electric.

We wanted to install an electric car charger at our house. Unfortunately that required a service upgrade because our breaker panel couldn't handle the load of adding a car charger. We hired Switch Electric to replace the mast, install a new outside panel (to upgrade our 100A house connection to 200A), as well as a new inside panel to support 200A. Finally we had them install the car charger. It took them less than two days to do the installation. The installation quality was amazing and I'm extremely pleased we chose them. The full service upgrade, including car charger installation cost a little over $7000 which was thousands less than other bids we received. I am very pleased we hired them and I will definitely hire them again in the future.

Installed two ceiling fans. One in a very difficult location. Installed infrared heater also in a difficult spot requiring sloped attic crawling! Changed several dimmer switches. New electrical outlet for smart toilet. All performed exactly as planned. Also did a service call to reprogram ceiling fans without charge. Neat, efficient, considerate, professional. Switch Electrical knows it's stuff. They were very professional, from the estimator to the work crew, and extremely knowledgeable. They came on time, got to work and had it inspected the same morning. They are a smooth operation and do excellent work.

They arrived on schedule. Out power outage for the work was less than expected. They were respectful of our property with excellent cleanup of the area they were working in. They explained the process for installation and their whole team were very pleasant to work with.

It went very well! I was dismayed at first by the long wait for an appointment but it was well worth it. Joe, Ian and Austin were professional, took care to keep my house and furniture clean and were kind to the cat. Everything I would want in electricians, and the fan works too!

Dan did a great job! He made the repairs and explained them to me in a way that was easy to understand and gave me confidence he knew what he was doing. I'd definitely hire him again!

Hired them to install a tankless water heater, which required an electrical upgrade from 30A to 120A. They handled everything with the panel, ran the new wiring without any damage to the drywall, and kept everything clean. They also added can lights in the ceiling of one room, and installed outdoor electrical outlets. They were fast, professional, and incredibly sharp. Definitely a go-to place for all your home electrical needs.

Everything went very well. The gentlemen that installed the system were very polite and relatively quick. After they left I had some questions and they answered right away... we even had a recent power outage and the generator worked flawlessly.

Switch Electric Home Energy is a fantastic company! Their initial site visit, proposal, scheduling, communication and work performance was stellar! The crew showed up on time, and they were professional, courteous, thorough and technically competent. They successfully relocated our island lighting, installed dimmer switches in three rooms as well as kitchen undercounter lighting. We are genuinely pleased with Switch Electric and will look to them for future projects!

Switch Electric, in the form of Joe and his apprentice Austin, performed everything well. Price was fair, service excellent. They explained what they were doing, even predicted one problem and were able to return to fix that. Only downside is they are available only Monday-Friday. We would hire them again without hesitation.

I Had an old generator that quit working. After determining that it needed a complete overhaul. I decided to get a quote for replacement and received a quote promptly. Switch electric had the generator in stock, while other companies said there was a 4 to 6 week wait time. Switch electric also kept me informed during the process from placing the order, scheduling the install date and then confirming the arrival. After the install they thoroughly trained on how to use the generator. They are very professional and helpful. I would highly recommend them for all your generator needs.

Switch Electric did a great job on the generator installation. They were professional, timely, courteous and had the best price from among several competitors. Overall, a superior job. The Generac generator installation had its acid test the evening of January 12, 2021 and passed with flying colors. Our neighborhood was without power for nearly 11 hours, only restored at around 0900 the next morning – ours was the only house nearby where the lights stayed on. The switch over to the generator and the switch back worked perfectly.

They were on time, professional, knowledgeable and left the work area clean. After their work was done they gave a through explanation of how to properly hook up the generator to the new hookup (twice! - for each adult in the house) Highly recommend Switch Electric!

I had a breaker problem that was turning off the power to half my home in Bothell. Switch Electric responded promptly to my call for help & the very nice young man who came to my home was extremely knowledgeable, thorough & systematic in his approach to identify the problem. I highly recommend Switch Electric. The two young men who assisted me in rectifying the breaker problem were great. Anyone who wants high level expertise in electrical matters, prompt response & excellent communication skills, hire Switch Electric for your electrical needs.

Another great experience with Switch Electric. Technician was on-time and completed the work quickly, after they were done working couldn't even tell they had been here other than the new outlet as the work area was so thoroughly cleaned. I'll continue to use Switch Electric as my go-to provider for Electrical work.

Maintenance on our 22K generator was performed incredibly well.. It was scheduled for late in the afternoon, but I received a call saying we can come early if you want. They arrived within 20 minutes after an hour and a half everything was done, clean well And maintain.

The more repair experiences I have, the more my experience with Switch this past July stands out for professionalism, trustworthiness, timeliness, and getting the job done right. After a poor experience with another electrical company that caused a problem, wouldn’t own up to it, and then wanted to charge me thousands to fix it, Switch Electric was a breath of fresh air. During the bid process, Joseph was timely, professional, and transparent about my options. He then exceeded my expectations by providing guidance over email on the requirements of the outdoor light fixture. Switch installed a new dedicated circuit and outdoor lights at a reasonable cost. I have recommended them and will use them again without hesitation, trusting their expertise and their fairness.

This is the second time I have used Switch to do electrical work for me. Dan the estimator is communicative and well organized when it comes to getting your job ready for the team coming to do the work. I had Alex and his team of two other guys over to do a large amount of panel and outlet work at my home. They were very pleasant, answered any questions I had, and did clean top-notch work throughout. The company is extremely professional from top to bottom.

It went great! Alex, Toli (sp?) and Bobby were very polite, punctual, great with our two cats, and did a wonderful job getting our list of projects done in one day. Because we required a “home run” dedicated 20A circuit to run from garage up through a bedroom, into the attic and then into the bathroom, they had to create a few holes, which they did in such a way that they will be easy to repair. They cleaned up the considerable drywall dust and insulation debris perfectly. We’re very happy with the work done. We’ve used them before and will again for future projects.

I called Switch Electric doubting if warranty was available on an in home generator switch because it had been installed a couple of years prior and was pleasantly surprised to hear that, yes it would be warranted and that they would schedule an appointment to replace it without issue and tech arrived exactly as scheduled.

Switch Electric Home Energy is a great company to work with — everyone from Tyler, to the scheduling office, to the onsite installers (Brett and team) were professional, communicative, friendly, and extremely courteous. We worked with Switch on a 9 kWh system and from the design/concept to build, everyone was quick, efficient, and sharp problem solvers. I found Tyler to be very responsive and informative, and really worked with me as a partner — listening to my concerns, addressing them, and working to find the best solution possible. On top of that, their pricing is very transparent and fair. I got a couple of other bids from A&R Solar and Tesla, and both of the quotes/teams lacked the specificity and transparency that Tyler operated with. When it came to the actual installation of our SunPower panels, the team was quick, communicative, and did good work. You can tell they truly care about what they do and the craft of their work. For instance, our house is three stories tall and it's nearly impossible to see the panels from the street level, yet the team worked to make sure the layout actually looked really good. Details re where / how to run conduit to roof penetrations to even where to place their ladders/equipment — everything was handled with care. I'd 100% work with Switch again, and cannot recommend them enough!
