It went well. All the employees we had contact with were very service oriented - a great group of folks. They fit this small job in during the rain and it took a little longer than it would've in the summer, but we expected as much. One thing is that the existing roof line was not level. We did not catch it until after the gutters were installed, by which time it was too late to rehab - not in the original contract. It seems that Rob went out of his way to be responsive to our needs and queries. But he was not obtrusive - just wanted the job done, I guess. And when was the last time a job came in under the estimate? I will definitely give Star a call when it's time to re-roof.

They didn't show up on time, had the wrong materials delivered to the work site on two occasions, had extremely sloppy workmanship, and I could not communicate with the workers because they did not speak English. The workers even worked right through a snowstorm! I would not use this company again, and I would not recommend them to anyone!

I would give them every award that you can possibly give them. They are superior compared to other companies. They did an excellent job and they did it really fast. I would highly recommend them to everyone.

I liked them because they did what they had said they would and they got it done quickly too. The only problem we had was that there was not much communication between them on the first day. They were at my house already but the materials have not arrived yet so they couldn't start, but they did a very good job overall.

Called for an estimate at the suggestion of a friend who used them. John came out the next date to give me an estimate. The price was higher than a competitor but Star Roofing came down a bit. The end price was still higher but not by much and the warranty was better. The work started a little late due to rain but it was less than ten days from the time I requested a bid until work was complete. The new roof looks great and we are satisfied with the work. They cleaned up everything. My only complaint was that they were still hammering on the roof at 9:30 at night but that was because it was still light outside so why not?

These guys were nothing less than amazing from start to finish. They were professional in every aspect of the job from bidding to clean-up. It started off with an inspection and estimate from Rob Shouse. Rob explained everything in a crystal clear way. I had opted to get three bids for comparison and they dominated in all categories. Rob was in constant communication with me. The beauty was in how the job was executed. On Day 1, the material was delivered and positioned on the roof. On Day 2, the dumpster arrived and the magic began. A crew of 8 to 10 removed the shake, sheeted the roof, installed roof paper and roughly 1/3 of the shingles. On Day 3, the rest of the shingles were installed and the job was complete. The crew started promptly at 9 A.M each day and finished at 7 P.M. The crew cleaned up meticulously each day and took great care around our precious landscaping.

This was a great experience beginning with the informative total job explanation provided by Star's estimator, Rob Shouse. Likewise, Rob was most helpful in guiding us to the selection of shingle style and coloring, frankly explaining the value of each type from his perspective and experience. He seemed very trustworthy and I felt very satisfied I was going to get the best value for my money. The work performed was superior. I am retired so I was home virtually from start to finish and observed the ongoing work directly. The crew showed up promptly on the scheduled start date and worked steadily each day except on a few occasions when the rain became too severe for safety. The job foreman typically advised me of their workplan each day and answered any questions I had regarding their work. He was exceptionally responsive to any additional work I asked be completed and ensuring all terms of the contract were met. The crew was most professional and attentive to detail. Outstanding!

They had to tear off three levels of shingles off. They cleaned up every day. I can't say enough good things about them. They arrived on time and they communicated well. Their bid was the most detailed and they offered the most quality. They were not the highest or the lowest bid. I would recommend them.

The work was high-quality, but the follow-through was poor. At the start of the project, the roofers broke the neighbor's window (the homes are very close together). Of course damage happens and they promised to fix it on their dime. We had a little damage (which is to be expected in such a big project), including a railing near our front door. They patched the railing and repainted it, but they left the wet paint exposed to run off in the rain that afternoon. We paid our final bill even though our neighbor's window was still broken and the railing was not fixed. The salesman, Rob Shouse, promised us the work would get completed and thanked us for being so understanding. However, the manager in charge of the window repair, Matt Petracca, was rude and we had to call him numerous times before he finally completed the work (more than five weeks later). It's been nearly two months since the roof job was completed and our railing remains un-repaired. Good work, but awful follow-through.

Their service was good, they were very knowledgeable and even though we aren't at the point to do the job they even offered to reduce the price.

Extremely well. The work was beautifully done and the new roof looks fantastic. The job-site cleanup was also very thorough. The crew was very professional and pleasant to work with.
