Description of Work: The company repaired a small leak in our roof, and performed repairs on a few other areas that had the potential to become leaks. They also cleaned out two leaf-clogged gutters, and can't back a second day to clean up the ground following the gutter cleanings.

Description of Work: Star Roofing contacted me quickly and scheduled appointment within two days to fix a leak in my roof. They told me up front the cost would be $250 to show up plus $65 per hour. The roofer fixed the leak and check out the rest of my roof within the first hour and charged the set price. I appreciated the punctuality.

Description of Work: Andrew came and measured our roof, installed some tin plates to cover a few existing holes and set up a time for install our new roof, skylights and a new system of gutters and leaf guard. The job was done quickly-in 3 days and the workers were very professional. Andrew returned to walk the roof and check the work. It was a great job, great company and has stopped the crawl space flooding issues we were having.

Description of Work: The night before, rain started dripping on my head in my room from a leak in the ceiling. I wanted someone in the Mill Creek area and looked up roofers on Angie's List. They were the closest to me. I called them and they promised to have someone out the next morning. They showed up at 8:30 am, inspected the roof, found the leak and replaced a number of shingles. They were respectful, polite and cheerful. I would use these guys again in a heartbeat if I have another leak!

I never heard from them again, so I went with another company. Description of Work: One of the skylights In our master bathroom and also the air fan vent in our laundry room were leaking. Star Roofing gave us a very fair estimate to replace the plastic air vent housing with a metal housing, replace flashing around the new housing and roofing material as needed. On the skylight the estimate included replace flashing, felt inside skylight, lay down plastic moisture barrier and replace roofing material and seal as needed. Randy, the repair technician, did a very throughal repair and went over and above on the repair on the laundry room air vent. The original flexible tubing to the vent housing was too short and was disconnected from the old plastic vent housing. Randy modified some flashing metal material to make a metal tube in order to connect the flex hose to the new metal air vent housing and then securely fastened them together. I watched Randy during some of the repair work and he was very consciensious in doing a good, quality job. Both Randy and Dave, the estimator, were very informative and helpful. Would definitally recommend Starr Roofing for roof repair and ask for Randy Walden. I was given one estimate from another company that took an easy shortcut method to maybe repair the skylight at almost the same price. Couple of Roofing Repair companies would only give a minimum charge to repair the leak so you really did not know the final cost and the method of repair. Star Roofing performed the repair to skylight and air fan vent as communicated. Very complete and so far it has fixed the problem.

Description of Work: Work consisted of locating and fixing a leak on the leading edge of the roof and repairing a gutter First time user of Angies list and will always come here first. From the first contact with Star Roofing their professionalism was evident. Hard to find anybody that will even look at a tile roof.. not only could they handle the job but had an expert on staff with tile experience. The folks that Dave/Ben/Randy sent out went above and beyond their services, completely cleaning up befroe they left (looks better than when they came) They understood the urgency of my problem and had somebody out to help timely (before any more rain!) I would and already have highly recommended them. With the high maintenance of a tile roof - I am sure they will be back!

Description of Work: I had used Star Roofing for a commercial property in the past and been very pleased with their promptness and professionalism. Consequently they were my first call when I needed help with my personal residence. When I called, I was told that I would get a call back from the dispatcher. Since it was late afternoon, I wasn't surprised when I didn't hear that day (Tuesday). Late Wednesday afternoon I called the office again to make sure I hadn't been "lost" and was told that the dispatcher would definitely get back to me. By Friday morning, I was less than happy and called the office again. My experience with the person answering the phone was never anything but pleasant and friendly. She checked and then told me I was still "in line." When I asked why they would go three days without calling to even determine my problem, she said they had been very busy and my request was being handled in the order they received it. I'm disappointed because I believe this is probably a good company, based on other reviews and my commercial experience with them. But they dropped the ball in not having better contact. I hate being ignored when I walk into a store or business, and this was the same equivalent. I hope Star Roofing takes this experience to heart and will put more effort into their customer service. I have called another roofing company on Angie's List and am hoping for better results.
