Scheduling appointment was easy and provider arrived on schedule. Work was completed quickly and we were given instructions on how to manage pets around the treatment and options for ongoing maintenance.

Went fine. Deal was not quite the service level we were expecting.

Gary showed up. Pointed out all the locations that he suspected rodents could get in. He proceeded to do a thorough job sealing up all the crevices with concrete and mesh. He also put out a number of traps. When we were catching rates he offered to come back and pick them up or we could dispose of them. Great thorough job. Thanks!

This deal worked out well. Their tech was professional and did what he needed to in order to handle the problem.

We bought a Big Deal for the company and this was the experience that convinced me to now save a copy of each Big Deal as I buy it. Once you have bought a Big Deal you no longer have access to the actual text of the Deal. I thought that the deal had called for 3 visits but the provider said it only provided 2. Although this left me feeling somewhat uneasy I wasn't unhappy with the service provided. There ended up being 3 different visits (the last one not through the Deal) and the first 2 were done by a gentleman who I believe to have been in charge. The third was from a younger guy who seemed to be learning the ropes. His lack of experience was a bit evident but he was very nice and we had no problem working with him. The thing that made me end up feeling that the service was good rather than excellent was lack of followup/communication. In the initial visit we ended up with a misunderstanding about how many times we'd be seeing the, what for, and whether or not we wanted them to perform exclusion work for us. I could interpret this as a desire on the part of the provider to not be pushy and make us feel like we were being pressured into spending money with them. If so I can certainly appreciate the sentiment but the net result was that we didn't end up with a clear picture of what they recommended - what they thought was important versus just nice to have - and how we were going to proceed with them. If not for that it would have been a better experience. We haven't had any problems with the exclusion work and we appreciated their honesty in telling us that they did not believe that the noise that caused us to call them was rodents.

We have had no evidence of rodent entry or damage since their work, and are very satisfied.

Unfortunately, I was not there for most of the work being performed. However, did catch the inspector at the end of the job and he was professional, courteous, and quick. Gave us the next steps to what we should do, and did not try to sell us more services than what we needed, which was VERY appreciated!

Service tech advised against additional requests of further treatments that day, siting no signs of any need and the additional cost. Will continue to use for annual preventative treatment. Treated with respect, informative and diligent. In and out with making sure all questions were answered.

Very thorough, complete and professional. This was an Angie's List big Deal. I would definitely use this company again when I do another preventive treatment. I even learned about a non-toxic insect repellent to take on a planned trip to the tropics.

Went smoothly with no problems.

It went great. When I had called I had only seen one of the ground nests and discovered the other a few days before they showed up. I told them about it when they came and it was no problem for them to treat them both. I very much appreciated the flexibility. The owner was training a new guy and he took the time needed to make sure things were done right.

It is effective and the price is reasonable for continued follow-up. The person I call to make appointments is very helpful and she is more than willing to schedule directly with my tenants which is awesome since there are 4 houses that we use them for.

It went well I called Safeguard after researching on Angies. Tim aswered the phone immediatelty and gave me useful information on their service and they were available within a couple days so we set up an appt. Then I printed out the instructions for prep work involved and realized we had alot to do to get ready but eradicating the fleas was good motivation so we went to work.He arrived on time the day of service and we left I was pleasantly surprised when returning that the odor was not offensive in the least. I was very happy with the service all around.

After seeing a rat run out of our garage one day, I panicked and thought for sure we were facing an infestation. I called Safeguard, and Gary came out the next day to assess our situation. I expected him to just look in the garage, but he ended up doing a thorough investigation of everything: house perimeter, roof, crawlspace, and the garage. He explained everything that he was doing and taught me a lot more about rat behavior than I'd ever known! The happy news was that it appears as though only that one rat had gotten trapped in our garage. There was no infestation after all! Gary repaired a couple of small holes that could be a problem down the road and also set out some traps, just in case. Happily, there's been no sign of any more rats since then. Gary was very friendly and professional and encouraged us to get in touch with any questions. For those worried about discretion, he arrived in a service truck without the company's name (we have a neighbor who would've been over in 5 minutes if he'd seen pest control at our house). I hope to never have to call an exterminator again, but if I do, it will definitely be Safeguard. Can't recommend them enough.

On time, friendly and does a great job!

We used the coupon for this service. They charge us may be a $100 or $110 per visit. The technician is a good cordial worker. He’s not the most talkative guy but when we have questions, he’s totally fine on talking to us about it. He seems cordial enough. Beyond that we called their billing office to make a payment and they’re definitely a pleasure to speak to. So far it’s been a great experience. We haven’t shopped around with regard to price. We’re not counting the bugs and so the quality is hard to comment on. So far we haven’t had any issues but spring is certain to come around. We haven’t seen any spiders in the garage. They call us before they come out and they’re out that day. We will definitely use them again in the future. They’re on a schedule with us and so definitely there’s no reason to stop right now.

Overall, the service was excellent. The job was easy to schedule through the office. The technician, Don, arrived right on time. After I explained my specific problem, he inspected the areas and made a recommendation for treating the problem. He put traps in the interior area where I had previously seen some ants and then sprayed around the exterior of the house where nesting was evident or most likely. He also made specific recommendations for follow-up service. He did an excellent job and I would definitely recommend the company.

I met Tim for the initial inspection. I wasn't sure if there were still rodents in the attic, but there were nests up there. He set traps in the attic and looked over the house for areas that they were getting in. A week later I had him come out and check the traps. I aslo had him do a full exclusion on the house which consisted of replacing the wire on the exterior attic vents under the eaves and putting a stronger wire mesh on the inside of what he called the mushroom vents on the rooftop. There were no remaining rats in the attic. The company that removed all of the insulation from the attic a few days after Tim was there told me that he did a good job on the mushroom vents inside the attic. There were more vents under the eaves than he had originally guessed, and he did not charge me extra for them. I have also found areas around the house that he put wire mesh over that we had not originally discussed. I am very pleased with the job. He was very nice and professional. I would use them again.

The guy who came out was pretty knowledgeable. He didn't mind getting stung and he was pretty thorough to locate where the nest was. He didn't have any problem using stuff and whatever solution it was to take care of it. He said that if I had a problem I could call him and he would come back out. The guy who came out was very good.

I couldn't be happier with Gary's service. He came out at the appointed time for the assessment and quote. During a careful and thorough assessment, he confirmed the carpenter ant problem. He showed me the fluffy sawdust left behind and we saw a few carpenter ants as well. He pointed out measures we could take to reduce our risk to carpenter ant infestation. Gary explained that since we had last been treated for carpenter ants (20 years ago), the allowed chemicals had changed. Although a one-shot treatment used to work (because of the more lethal chemicals), the more environmentally safe chemicals used today require follow-up. His recommendation was the initial treatment followed by quarterly treatments at about one-quater the initial cost. After the last quarterly treatment another assessment will be made to determine if eradication is complete or if further treatments are necessary. Gary is knowledgeable in the evil ways of carpenter ants, explaining their scent trails from main nests, methods of entry to homes, logic behind various treatment options. He also explained to low toxicity to animals (similar to their flea/ear mites/heart worm treatment) and that it would be best to keep them away from the exterior for about 30 minutes after he sprayed. After Gary gave me the written quote I asked if we could schedule right then. Treatment was scheduled for two days later. Gary arrived on time for treatment. He treated outside, then inside (crawl space & attic space). Gary is the owner/operator of Safeguard Pest Control. He takes pride in his work. He is intelligent, capable and pleasant. As I stated earlier, I couldn't be happier with his service.

The technician arrived a bit early for the scheduled appointment, did a thorough job spraying the perimeter of the house, and even treated a wasp infestation for no extra charge. Even though the house is somewhat outside their normal service area, they were willing to honor the Deal, and did so very promptly and professionally.

We are on a quarterly spray - Chris always calls a couple of days beforehand to announce he is coming spray - day & Time. I let the other units know - courteous, timely ask if any pest problems.
