Description of Work: The service was good and the plumber was professional, they got my blocked sewer line fixed with a snake. But the sewer line requires a replacement to permanently fix the problem and the plumber never followed up with me about that work like he said he would.

Description of Work: I had used Steve's Plumbing before and was very impressed at first. Steve met with me, and had a master plumber come to my house before; But the last time, I called to have a hookup for a new dishwasher installed. Two young guys came out, and did the work competently and quickly, but left a large hole in the exterior wall under the sink, which they did not inform me of. I had an injured back and could not bend down to inspect at the time. Unfortunately, the presence of rats and mice in my house within a couple of months did clue me in, and I had to repair the hole myself, which was fairly simple. I just wish I had known before the rats brought their fleas, mites and lice into my home, and cost me a fortune in pest control. Also, they tried to con me by telling me that my water heater was installed incorrectly, and that it needed an expansion tank as well to be safe. When I pointed out that Steve's Plumbing had installed it originally, (according to the label), they tried to do some backtracking. I also informed them that Seattle code did not require expansion tanks on electric water heaters. As a older single woman I've unfortunately learned to expect the con attempts from plumbers, but this took the cake. I had been enrolled in Steve's Plumbing's Preferred Customer program for a few years but I declined to re-enroll after that, and will no longer use them.
