When the meter reader alerted us to a (large) leak and we determined it was between house and street, I called South County Plumbing . The leak was mysterious because there were no obvious signs nor was pressure down. The city water workers who came out indicated we were losing enough water ?to fill a swimming pool.? They couldn?t find where it was going. (Later I did find water on a slope some distance away in back of the house.) Based on the age of our home and the fact we would need the services of an underground leak detection company, we decided to install a new line. This was on a Thursday. By the time plans were made and utilities were marked, the line was installed the following Wednesday. Our water was off for one day. South County was responsive and available when I called with questions. Rey and his assistant could not have worked harder and were in and out of the house with a minimum of noise and disturbance. They were great and I very much appreciated their way of working. Rey also replaced the shut-off valve with no charge for labor. My one disappointment was being told to take the receipt as proof of repair to Edmonds Water Department and the adjustment would be made. When I got there, they asked for my copy of the permit and were surprised to learn none had been obtained. So I got the permit ($125) and scheduled the inspectors and everything was wrapped up by the third week. When I asked South County about this permit business, Larry indicated various municipalities have different requirements. I felt they should have known and at least prepared me. I was satisfied with the work and would use this company again but would alert you get informed about any paperwork your city may require ? and determine if it is your responsibility.

Rey was very fast and fixed the problem. He did a very good job and he is very experienced.

We like them. The quality was good. They were polite and professional. We thought the price was fair.

Winner company! Speedy arrival, worked efficiently, friendly, after repair gave very helpful advice and info about possible future repairs. No question I'll be calling this company the next time I need work done.

Very precise and fast. Drain conduit full cleared. No obstructions or damage found. I was able to view the camera run. Suggestions for preventative care given, but no further interventions or expenses "pushed" as "had to be done". Cooperative and friendly. Experienced and skilled. On time.

I will use them again in a heartbeat for any plumbing project I need taken care of, friendly helpful responsive service at a great price, not sure what more I could ask for. My wife and I are remodeling our master bath and I didn't want to do the plumbing myself. Called South County (along with others) for a quote on what it would cost to rough in the tub and drain. First off they were responsive and seemed to really want to earn my business, Bruce came out to do an estimate for us very quickly and not only was the price he quoted for labor VERY reasonable but he also suggested an alternative tub from what I had been able to find. The price for the special order tub with grab bars, overflow and labor combined was less than other plumbers wanted just for labor. Tub was a special order so it took a while to come in and when it did they called to set up a time to come out and install. I had done the demo work already and fixed some rot issue caused by an earlier leak, so the installer roughed in the drain line, set the supply valve (and raised the toilet supply for me) and set the tub. Work looks great and he even installed the full tub surround and caulked the seams while he was here. They did have one minor issue in that they had sent the wrong overflow and drain (he had a chrome unit and everything else is nickel) however the installer noticed it before I did, told me about it, let the office know and they had someone out the first part of the next week to correct it so it was not a real problem at all.

Challenging, as line blockage was not at turn in the line, but to the line being crushed by a rock that took a number of years to crush the line. Once located the repair was completed, the outside clean out was installed and the line was inspected. They completed all the work that they quoted. Due to the repair challenges, it took a little long that the time quoted, but the work was completed for the amount quoted.

We originally called because a bathroom sink drain had been inoperative for WAY too long , and we had finally taken it as long as we could. Norm showed up the same day to fix the problem and while he was here he quickly took care of a couple of other issues as well (stairwell drain and hose bib). On our wish list was a sump replacement/repair. He recommended a particular part and returned the next day to install it. In fact he just left. All are working great and I cannot tell you what a huge difference it does/will make for us. We plan to install a new hose bib in the future and will call South County Plumbing for the work.

When the installer appeared with the new water heater he proceeded to spend several hours installing it but it was abundantly clear to even a non professional housewife that there was not enough room to fit a larger water heater in the space, due to upgrades involving an overflow tank and a new support stand. It was OBVIOUS that the exhaust line was not installed correctly and we insisted that he take it out and install a water heater that would fit in the space and would exhaust properly. A supervisor had to come out and approve the job - it took literally all day and cost several hundred dollars more than the estimate. I would NEVER use this firm again, even though I had excellent service from them during the previous decade. We spent hundreds of dollars more than we needed to, spent all day supervising an incompetent worker and our "gold-plated" water heater just exploded this morning - certainly didn't last very long at all.

They have given me information over the phone when needed. He came to repair the kitchen sink and found a repair needed in the bathroom sink. He did not try to over charge me for two trip charges. I have been really happy with their service.

He was very professional, explained what he was doing and did a good job. He worked steadily and got the job done. Very polite.

The plumber arrived about 45 minutes after I contacted the office. He was courteous and identified the cause of the problem immediately. He was willing to talk on the phone to our insurance agent and he offered input on dealing with insurance claims. He also recommended a water damage company that arrived within an hour to begin the drying out process. We were very satisfied with this service person and would call the company again.

My tenant called about a drain pipe in the crawlspace that had a hole rusted through it. It was quite a mess. South Sound Plumbing answered the phone on a Saturday afternoon and within 30 minutes Jeff was out at the house. He repaired the broken section of pipe, about 5', and recommended we replace an additional 20' at some time in the near future. I didn't feel like it was an upsell and there was no pressure. In all, they quickly and professionally resolved my issue on a weekend for a reasonable price. I would certainly use them again.

Larry, who answered the phone, recognized the urgency of my problem and gave some initial advice about cleanup. His plumbers were pretty booked for the day, but he would see what he could do and call me back. Within 15 minutes, Larry called and said he had rearranged some customers till Monday and would have someone out to the house later that day. Geoff arrived around 5 pm, looked at the pipes, and devised a quick fix solution. He would need to make a parts run, and suggested that the quick fix would hold till Monday if I would like to wait till then and avoid overtime rates. I was in favor of that, and it gave me Sunday to clean up the mess with my shop vac. He also suggested I dig up the pipe just outside the foundation so he could see and replace more pipe if it was bad, so I did that too. Sunday, I vacuumed the mess and dug the pipe. On Monday, Geoff came back as promised and made the permanent repairs. It was good that I dug out the exterior pipe, as it was also near failure.Tuesday, I went back under and cleaned up the remaining residue and changed the plastic ground cover. The problem is rectified. We appreciate the good advice we received from Larry and Geoff, and we trust the quality of their work as we have had them over for several various plumbing issues over the years.

It went well. The tech was courteous and on time.

Geoff arrived ahead of schedule, examined the valve, determined the problem (the 35-year-old valve would not shut off) and replaced the valve. The entire process took about 30 minutes. Geoff had the right valve, was very professional and left the area spotless. We are fortunate to have a company and people that are this good in Snohomish County.

I installed a new hot water tank, burt was not comfortable replacing the inlet and outlet pipes which were quite old flexible copper pipes. Kurt from South County Plumbing came to the house and replaced the two pipes, installed a new pressure relief drain tube and hauled away the old tank for a small fee. The work was done efficiently and looks great. Kurt was very professional, I would definitely recommend to others.

They gave me an honest estimate and the work came in at the estimated price. They did the work in a timely manner and it went great.

The serviceman (Les K.)quickly found the one leak site and fixed the problem. I also had a leak in the line to my outside faucet which he also repaired.

The plumber arrived promptly and was pleasant and professional. He answered my questions clearly and completed the installation of the new garbage disposal in less than the estimated time. I was satisfied with my experience and would use them again.

We had to have them come out on a kind of emergency basis and they came out right away. The price they quoted was the price we paid and they even gave us a bit of discount for helping out.

The whole process went very well. The office person was very helpful, but I did think the price was too high because I had looked at the item at a local box store. I could not physically handle the item due to a problem I had and a surgical date on 12-06-12. The installer was great and very professional. I will still use South County Plumbing in the future.

Went well. This is the 2nd or 3rd time I have used them since finding them on Angie's List. I will be calling them again as soon as the condo association gets rid of the rats as the drain hose needs replaced again because the rat's have chewed thru the hose again.

Called for the estimate, was surprised that they couldn't simply root out the line without charging me for the line, the tools, the labor, and something about accessing the line in my backyard through my in/out. They were the only one of three companies to nickel and dime the estimate, amounting to an estimate of over $300, when the rooting cost me less than $200.
