I have used them once. My son tried to fix it and it was a comedy of errors. They came out and knew exactly what the problem was. (The technician who came out) was very personable, very professional and laughed with me at how we tried to fix it. He got it fixed so that the cartridge inside the faucet wouldn't drip lickety split. Everything is working well. He did a good job. It was a funny story. I would use them again because they were very quick to respond and the guy that came out was just wonderful. I think they charged me for the part and then the plumber himself. to come out and assess what exactly was wrong with it. Plumbers are expensive and thought that was a pretty good deal after my DIY experience. He was right on time when he said he would be.

The plumber put in the new faucet and was very efficient. We got a senior discount that we appreciated. This is a very friendly and family owned business in Perrinville. We have used their services before and we were happy with them before as we were today.
Description of Work: We had a leak under our kitchen sink. We called South County Plumbing late in the afternoon on a Wednesday. We were able to get an appointment for the next day at 8:30 am. It was discovered that the leak was coming from hose that controls the spray nozzle. The plumber said that if we continued to tighten the fastening it would stop the leak. We decided to replace the old faucet and was under no pressure to do so. The faucet was about 25 years old and had begun to seize up. The plumber took us off the clock and returned to their business to get a new faucet. We thought that this was very considerate.

My husband and I discovered water on the garage floor when we arrived home at approximately 4:00 pm on a weekday afternoon. We consulted Angie's List for our zip code area and phoned South County Plumbing. We explained our water problem and if it was an emergency situation a service person could come out that evening (for an emergency fee) or the next morning at 10:00 am. We decided on the morning appointment. At 9:30 am, the next day, we received a phone call from Service Person Marc H. telling us he was on his way to our house; he arrived shortly before 10:00 am. Marc replaced the potable water expansion tank in less than 20 minutes and inspected our gas water heater as well. During our conversation we mentioned to Marc that we have recently been experiencing unusual low water pressure issues in the showers, sinks, and bathrooms inside our house. With my husband along side him, Marc checked the water line coming into our residence from the street, he also inspected the water pressure regulator coming into the house, plus he checked all plumbing in our bathrooms, showers, and the kitchen sink. By the time Marc was ready to leave for his next appointment the water pressure inside the house had noticeably increased and was now significantly improved from what we considered our "normal" level. Marc solved our initial water problems in the garage plus spent additional time servicing our water pressure issues. Marc is an extremely competent and professional service person. If we have future plumbing problems we will contact South County Plumbing, Inc. and ask for Marc again! We are highly satisfied customers.
Description of Work: The potable water expansion tank connected to our gas water heater cracked and was leaking water onto our garage floor.

Rick (who I believe is the owner) came out and took a look at the job. He provided an estimate. We accepted the estimate. He stated via email that he would check in prior to the start date to confirm the job. Several weeks went by when he told us he could not work on the project for another month or month and a half. When pressed to understand if we rescheduled would he be able to commit to the job, he said he could not commit. This lack of professionalism cause us to delay all the contractors and rebid the job. In the end this company is unreliable. I would never hire them or engage them in any way. You might spend more but if you want professionalism, go elsewhere.

Not well. South County Plumbing's web site said they will provide fast and free estimates for work. This is what my insurance company needs before they will approve the repair work. When I called South County, I was told they would only come out for time and materials payment and would not estimate the work. So much for their marketing claims.

We developed a leak inside a difficult to get to area in the rear wall that was detected while doing some other repairs on the house. South County Plumbing came out within an hour of us calling them and after spending a great deal of time trying to see if there was a quick repair, we determined that the copper drain pipes in the house had failed and several of them were paper thin or in the case of the one in our wall, it had a split in part of it. Ray (Rey?) who came out showed us all of the things that needed to be done and was highly professional. He also pointed out and showed us exactly why other work that had been done in a remodel about 9 years ago had been done incorrectly and was failing as well. While we did not expect to undertake the level of the job that we did, we are glad that they pointed out these things to us or we would have been ripping out walls in the near future. Work was done in a highly professional manner and while a replumb of this sort can never be not disruptive, they contained the disruption as much as possible. They were constantly offering to show us what they were doing so that we had confidence that it was being done correctly and identifying what had been done wrong (and why!) before. This was not an easy job for sure, but the work was done on-time and within the margin of error of the original estimate. I cannot overstate how pleased we are with the work and the professionalism of their crew. We will use again without a doubt when we need plumbing work in the future.

Typically, we have to have our sewer line snaked once per year. We have roots, we are aware they're a problem, and have been successfully having the line snaked for about $400-$500 each year. This year, we decided to give South County Plumbing a go, as they're more local to us. First guy came out on 02/29. Snaked & camera'd the line for $257.32. Great deal! He did not mention any problems that he saw when he camera'd the line - did note that eventually we would have to replace the line, which we already knew. Two months & 10 days later, our line backed up. South County sent out a different guy at my request. He re-snaked the line & pulled up a mass of roots that could NOT have grown to that size and amount within 2 months, especially since we also had South County treat the line with Root-X. That tells me that the first guy missed them. I don't see how, either - I watched the camera the second time & you can see everything. When I spoke to the owner he just said roots can grow really fast (in 2 months? Even with Root-X?) and refused to give me any consideration. At that point I cancelled my request for an estimate to replace our sewer line. I felt like the owner didn't feel compelled to provide any expression of care or concern for his customers - he could hardly wait to get me off the phone. One final note: The first guy told us our line feeds into the city sewer line in a path exactly 90 degrees opposite from what is true. He assured me that he had pinpointed it with some sonar device he had. The second guy found the correct path - meaning the line actually goes to a different street! This doesn't inspire confidence in the $1000 worth of work we had done.
Description of Work: Snaked & camera'd sewed line on 02/29/2016. Came back & re-snaked & camera'd sewer line on 05/10/2016.

My kitchen faucet was gushing out water below as I was doing dishes. I quickly noticed the leak was definitely coming from the faucet so I stopped the washing and cleaned up the water that flooded out to the floor. Called South County Plumbing after two people's referral from co-workers. Called at 11:30 am, Sean booked me for Joel to come out between 2-4 pm. Gave me option to get a phone call when Joel's on his way. Received the call at 1:45 pm that Joel's on his way. He arrived at 2:10 pm and explained to me exactly what caused the leak. It was a quick fix but for someone like me who's clueless about plumbing it was mind-opening. The main objective took just 10 min so he offered to help with anything plumbing-related questions I may have. He answered questions I had about water pressure for the bathroom, water heater, and radiant heat. He made sure that I got my 30 min worth. He also was very considerate to put on boot covers indoor. Gave me 10% off labor for being Angie's List member. Suggested that I call back to make another appointment for water heater inspection to determine whether I need a replacement. He explained to me the type of water heater I have and there are a lot of factors to determine for a replacement but the company has experts on water heater so I should make appointment with them to get detailed inspection. I'll definitely refer him in the future.

The Company was prompt and responsive. Our water heater was leaking, and they came out the same day and replaced our water heater. The price was very good. I got several bids and while South County wasn't the lowest, I was impressed with their professionalism and that it would give me an opportunity to support a local business. The work was completed on schedule. While it took several days, they were always careful to leave me with working plumbing at the end of each day. Took time every day to clean up the work areas. It ended up being a tough job and the plumber had to try several different things to finally get the clog clear. He was very clear and up front about the cost and warned me when we were getting close to the two hour mark which would cause an increase in service cost. There were several points when he could have just said, I can't get this clear we need to come back but he didn't. He kept problem solving and finally fixed the issue. Very polite and courteous. Would definitely recommend their services.

Replacing our laundry tub turned out to be a much larger job than anticipated. We experienced a huge leak at the wall, requiring us to shut off the water. It was late on a Saturday night. We checked Angie's List for 24 hour plumbers. Called South County Plumbing, and were told they'd have someone out within 30 minutes. Rey Romero arrived right on time. He replaced the part which had blown, answered many questions and tested the new laundry tub connections. Everything went perfectly. He was here exactly 42 minutes, which he reflected on the receipt. Absolutely no inflating of his time. The downside is that we had to pay double-time for after 9pm service, but had we waited until Sunday, it still would've been double-time. We were not going to wait until Monday for water and were so happy that we found such a reliable plumber. We received the 10% Angie's List discount, which really helped. We will not hesitate to contact South County Plumbing if we need assistance again. Rey Romero was great.
