Description of Work: We had bought a Bradford White water heater from South County Plumbing in May 2006. It had a 10 year warrantee and served us well till about a week ago when it started hissing and a puddle of water appeared underneath. We discovered the 10 year warrantee and called South County Plumbing and asked if it was good even though there was only a month left on it. They said it was and were out within an hour to replace the water heater with a brand new one, which now costs more than double the original one did. We certainly felt pleased! Mark who did the uninstall of the old one and the install of the new one, seemed highly competent and was pleasant to deal with. We did have to pay for a few external parts and the installation itself, which totaled about $550. It was still a tremendous savings. We would have paid close to $2000 if we'd had to buy a brand new water heater and had it installed. We're happy with South County Plumbing and would have them out again.

Description of Work: Was quoted a specific price over the phone. However, when the service rep came, he insisted that we paid additional for an extra person to help remove the water heater.

Description of Work: They repaired a broken pipe which was leaking under our house! They checked for overly saturated insulation and also explained the best method for us to use to dry the underside of our house! Very professional and also very helpful!

Description of Work: Repaired the floor flange, which had been set in the concrete. also the flange was below grade level, with the slots filled with concrete. He replaced the flange and reset the toilet and re-anchored the toilet correctly. He also showed me the steps he took to correct the installation, and cleaned up his work very well. I would use him again anytime, recommend their to anyone.

Description of Work: Called the office and told them we didn't have an emergency - the Sump pump went out a day or 2 earlier and it wasn't like the water was going anywhere. We got an appointment for first thing the next morning. Norman showed up right on time and went under the house. We had LOTS of water - ugh! He got an old pump from the truck and began pumping the water out. He said he'd be back the next day to install a new pump, right now there was just too much water to really get any work done. Again, next day - right on time - Norman came back and started work under the house - still quite a bit of water but he could finally work. The sump hole had to be dug out some from the water that had been there, pushing silt into the hole. He installed a top quality sump pump (we had a crummy Home Depot one before)and was finished in about 1.5 hours. The cost was almost $800 from parts and labor, which killed us at Christmas time, but I guess plumbing stuff is not cheap and the problem was addressed right away. We have used So. County Plumbing in the past and will definitely call them again if needed in the future. Norman is very pleasant and always has good information for us plumbing "dummies" - the work is done fast and is quality. |We did receive an Angie's List discount of 10% on the labor.

Description of Work: Excellent service at a reasonable cost. The plumber readily diagnosed the problem and did the repair work. He explained everything he did and why. The problem was repaired in a short period of time. Some plumbing companies charge just for coming out - this one did not.

Description of Work: I discovered I had a water line leak between the meter and house which made it my problem, not the utility's. I'm a DIY kind of guy so I found the source of the leak which was a crack in the pvc pipe itself. South County came out the next morning and spent time confirming there was only 1 leak. They also found a toilet with a very slow leak which I wasn't aware of, but fortunately those were the only problems. They replaced the pipe from the break to the meter with pex and some compression fittings. I think that was a much better solution than trying to repair the crack. Very professionally done and I'm confident I won't have to dig it up again. | |It took a couple of hours which was time well spent. I know the line is good now and the repair is rock solid. I think South County is the best value available and I'll continue to use them for the things that I'm not qualified to be doing.

Description of Work: WE HAD A PLUGGED KITCHEN SINK AND IT WAS LEAKING UNDERNEATH. THEY REPLACED PIPE UNDER SINK AND RAN DISHWASHER DRAIN INTO THE KITCHEN SINK AND CLEANED THE LINES.

Description of Work: REPAIRED LEAK AT TOP OF GAS WATER HEATER: $94 IN LABOR/ $21 IN PARTS.
