First time ever needing a plumber. I know very little about plumbing and felt after 45mins I understand how it works and what can cause issues. Geoffe spent the time to explain my concerns of my toilets not flushing as strong as they use to, he adjusted a few things and explained what they do. He also eased my mind about bursting water main pipes, which I often see every winter in my neighborhood,. Highly recommend, just remember they often are working on emergencies so they most likely will be late, unless you have an emergency.
Description of Work: Adjusted toilets, checked flow, checked water meter, explained in detail how the toilets work, as well as any possible water leakage.

My hot water heater wasn't adequately heating the water in the house. I called South County, and they scheduled an appointment for the following day. They were supposed to come at 1, but when they didn't arrive, I called the office and they said that they had someone call in sick so the service person wouldn't be there until later in the afternoon. It would have been preferable for them to call and let me know. Geoff was great. He immediately knew what the problem was and explained what he'd need to do/replace and approximately how long it would take and how much it would cost. He performed the work quickly and ensured that my water was hot before he left.
Description of Work: Geoff replaced the overflow valve and pressure regulator and the pipes that connect to them for my hot water heater.

I called South County Plumbing on Thursday 7-19-12 to install a garbage disposal in my sink and fix a leaking faucet in my bathtub. I was told the plumber would arrive between 1 and 2 PM on 7-19. At 3 PM the plumber had not arrived and I called to see if he was on his way. I was told he would be there soon. At 6 PM the plumber had not arrived and I was told when I called there was an emergency and he could not make it on Thursday 7-19. I spent the whole day waiting, no phone call from South County Plumbing letting me know the plumber was not coming that day. I set up an appointment for 7-20-12. The plumber arrived on time and took 2.5 hours to install a garbage disposal, install new drain pipes under the sink and fix one leaky faucet. The disposal replaced an existing unit, no new wiring or fabrication required, just take the old one out and put the new one in. I was charged $431.43. The plumber left a mess in the bathroom. I do not recommend this company.

We smelled this awful smell which at first we thought came up from the crawl space. We thought that something had died down there.Come to find out, the smell was not from the crawl space, but from sludge that had backed up from the sewer into our guest room tub. Yuk Plus! I went right to Angie's List to find a local plumbing business. We have only lived here 2 years and had not needed a plumber yet. But now, we needed one BADLY.South County Plumbing Inc answered the phone in the morning, let us explain our problem, and promised to be at our house that same day by about 2pm or so.They also said they would call before they came. Both of these commitments were met and on schedule. The plumber checked things out first before he snaked the tub drain. He also walked my husband through a detailed explanation of what he thought was the cause. He asked a lot of questions about our home drainage system set up too.Even after the plumber had finished, he warned us to keep an eye on this tub and drain to see if any further backup might occur. He was very professional and worked the whole time he talked. When he left, we knew we had OUR PLUMBER for all future problems. And the best part he was a LOCAL business.

Went extremely well. I discovered the problem on Saturday morning at 6:30am. I called them at 6:45, and surprisingly someone answered and said someone would be over by 8:30am. He actually came around that time and fixed the problem in 30 minutes. Geoff was the one who came out. He was very professional and efficient. I would definitely call these guys again!

I called three plumbing companies and asked them to give me a quote for installing a garbage disposal. I was given quotes of approximately $500, $400 and $300. South County was the one at $300 plus they offered a 10% Angies List discount, so price-wise, they were far more reasonable. And add to that the fact that the rep was on time, pleasant, extremely experienced and had the job done in well under an hour and I can't think of any reason not to call them in the future. A very pleasant experience!

Because we had a very good experience with this Co. last year, we called them again when we needed a new kitchen sink. Old one was rusting around edges as water had gotten in there. We wanted the same sink which they ordered from Kohler. We also decided our noisy disposal needed replacing. Geoff came out the next day, Took out old sink, carefully cleaned the rust off the edge of the corian counter top. Put in new, sink , disposal & new pipes. Fantastic job. Geoff even came back right away the next day when I called about a very small area in the caulking that needed more caulking. Very pleased with everyone we have dealt with at So Co Plumbing.

Had a severe water leak between water shut off at street & our house. Called South Co Plumbing. Came out gave us a bid. Came back in three days, along with a drilling company, Drilled under driveway 200 ft. Replaced with new line. Put in new shut off valve at house. Done in one day. Fantastic job. Appreciated Geoff's work, suggestions & he also replaced leaking flapper in toilet without charge. Liked everything about the company from cheerfully answering the phone when I first called to end of project. Would definitely hire them again. Sorry this report is so late. I thought I had put in a review right after they finished. Sometimes I have trouble navigating Angies list.

Leak under the concrete driveway - they were right on with their diagnosis. Replaced the entire line all the way to the street. Don't confuse this Company with Southwest Plumbing - which is much more expensive (we ahve used both). Good people to work with.

We live in a 45 year old + house in North Edmonds, WA. We had already patched the 40 foot incoming water line (original line) once about a year or so ago. It was leaking yet again and we decided to replace it and fix any future problems. I had used South County before to install a kitchen faucet and was very pleased. Always helpful and answer all questions and a good price. We got an estimate for the line replacement that we thought was reasonable. We decided to bore instead of tearing up the whole yard and the old line was not worth saving. They arranged for the locates (PSE never showed) and the Edmonds permit ($145). They were here at 7:20 in the morning digging and prepping for the boring crew (sub-contract by Southcounty). A corner of my garage had to be jack hammered out as the water shut-off was inside close to the floor. They bore thru the yard and under the house footing/foundation and came up in the hole in my garage. All soil, concrete, etc. was captured on tarps. Did not take but 30 mins. to bore from the meter to the house. My plumber pulled the new 'pex pipe' and had everything wrapped up/sealed up waiting for Edmonds code person to sign off on the job. He replaced all the soil and sod near the meter (I will need to add more topsoil). He back-filled the garage hole and put down fresh cement. He also put in a current code shut-off and shut-off for the outside faucet so we don't have to cover it anymore in the winter.I am very happy with the hard work done quickly and throughly by Mort.

They came out right away, did a good job and seemed really fair price wise. My tenants wanted a bigger water heater and the guy said they didn't need a bigger on, it was just that they had a bad one. I thought that was great because he could have tried to sell me a bigger one but he didn't.

The price was right in line with the bid. Most plumbers try to charge you a service rate with is around $100-150/hr. This company has a rough in price rate of $60/hr which is very reasonable. I gutted the bathroom so it was very accessible for the tech to work easily & cleanly. They did an excellent job & I am very satisfied, no surprises with these guys.

Each job was done efficiently. When the 1/2 bath was roughed in, the plumber discovered our sewer line was cracked. He designed a way to install a new PVC sewer line to connect to the main line without requiring a total break up of the patio. While this added to the total cost of the job, he showed us the cracks (and the tree roots) and gave several options.Since this problem would have surfaced later, we were happy he found it while doing the other project. All the work was done as promised and they cleaned up afterward, including taking away the broken up patio pieces. Will definitely hire them again!

Our experience with South County Plumbing was very positive. Although this wasn't a complicated task, it was done well and for a fair price (about $165.00, using the coupon available on Angie's List). Geoff called to let us know he was on his way and how long he expected to be in transit, he arrived promptly on time and did the work in a friendly and professional manner, leaving behind a clean kitchen with no debris. I definately plan on using South County Plumbing again.
Description of Work: Our kiitchen drain had backed up, and I had already tried everything I could do myself before giving up (including dismantling the pipes under the sink and running a 25-foot snake through the clean-out). I called South County Plumbing about mid-day on Monday, and they were able to give me an appointment for the next morning. Geoff came out and was able to clear the line after putting in about 40 foot of rotary snake down the pipes. He was very professional, didn't mind me watching what he was doing and asking questions, and explained everything in detail including recommendations for how to keep pipes clear in the future. I was surprised to find that they had Saturday appointments available at no extra charge. I will certainly keep them in mind for any future plumbing issues.

Les arrived on time, to investigate an odd noise in my house. I didn't know exactly where the loud noise was originating, but he guessed it was from one of my toilets. He replaced the innards in my three toilets and I haven't heard the noise since. About a week later, I noticed one of the toilets was constantly refilling. I called them and Les arived the same day and fixed it for no charge. Very pleasant employee.
