I no longer wanted the deal due to how I was spoken to on the phone. The person I spoke to on the phone was rude and uprofessional.

They did a great job. I received three different bids, and theirs was the lowest. They were punctual with all of their appointments - from the time they looked at the roof for the bid to the days they worked on the house. They were understanding - including the fact that when I asked them to work the job one month later than the date they originally gave me - they didn't give me any grief over it. Particularly when I explained that I needed them to wait because we had some birds nesting in our house - yes, they are nesting in our house - it happened before we realized it (next year, we will be much more vigilant!). They didn't even laugh at me for asking them to wait! The workers were professional and nice. They did a great job on the roof, and they did an excellent job when cleaning up. My gardener asked when the roofers were coming, and when I said they were already done, she was very impressed. She didn't find a single piece of trash or nails from the work that was done. I would definitely use them again, and will recommend them to anyone.

Dan and Hillside are a very professional company. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

The whole job went well. It took three days to complete. The debris was removed every day and the job site was left in good condition. We especially liked that Hillside used their dump truck to get rid of our old roofing material instead of having a dumpster delivered to our driveway and left there for the duration of the job.

Dan came out, looked around, we chatted, he gave a bid, I got a couple of others, chose Dan, Crew came out a week later, three days later new roof.

Hillside Roofing performed the job in a friendly and professional manner. Dan Smith gave us some good information on attic ventilation which we are now working on ourselves.

Hillside Roofing and Gutter did an excellent job from start to finish. A friend had seen them work on a house in his neighborhood and was impressed with them, so suggested I get a bid from them when I needed to have my roof and gutters replaced. The bid was very professional, and detailed. They came on time, and completed the work as scheduled. They did an excellent job cleaning up. The roof and gutters look great.

Our ceiling was leaking in the kitchen so I gave them a call and set up an appointment for one of their guys to come out and take a look at it. Dan came exactly on time the date of the appointment. He went up on the roof and went up into our attic to diagnose the problem. He even had a digital camera to explain the situation to us using photos. It turns out that there was space between the exhaust fan outlet and the roof due to a faulty job by the contractor. This was allowing the rain water to leak into the ceiling. Dan fixed it on the spot for $250.00. We really appreciated the time Dan took to diagnose, explain, and fix the problem for us. Especially considering this was such a small job as far as roofing jobs go!

He was prompt. He was here when he said he would be. He was a nice guy. He went and looked over at the roof. He said frankly that I really do not need one.

Wonderful and professional about wraps it up!!!! Greg, the owner, was incredible as well as his crew. On time each day and cleaned up like they werent even there. My neighbor came over and asked who they were. He said he was watching from across the street and thought they were very professional. I put the work on facebook, in pictures, as they did it and several of my friends say in the next year or two they are calling this company. I recommend them to everyone who needs a new roof. I couldnt be happier.

I was very happy with them. They were here when they said they were going to be here, they did what they said they were going to do and I think they were done in two days. When they left I couldn’t even tell they were here as in the fact they did work. They also gave me a good discount on the garage work and it was the same deal in, out and gone. Everybody was real nice and they had good equipment. I have recommended them to all my neighbors.

See above. They were careful and neat. They came when they said they would come, and they worked consistently without wasting time or causing any particular mess or disruption. They clearly knew exactly what they were doing, and they cleaned up completely after they had finished. There were no surprises when it came time for me to pay.

It went real well. They seemed to do a real thorough job and they had good cleanup and they had good safety equipment. They seemed to be a thorough company to work with.

Work not done, just a bid was given and explained. Will report back in when roof is completed.

Hillside Roofing & Gutters, Inc. representative Dan, arrived to give me an estimate about two weeks prior to the actual installation date. At this time I hadn't decided who the contractor would be as another well regarded company was to give me a bid also. Dan was running about an hour late but was kind enough to call me to let me know, so this was not an inconvenience. Dan was very professional and nice. Together we went on the roof(I didn't need to, but wanted to ask some questions as he examined it). He explained what he thought needed to be done, along with the options available to me, and how to accomplish it. My house has built in gutters, not the metal add on type, and I also have several evergreen trees whose needles clog the downspouts so I wanted to enlarge them from 2" diameter to 3" diameter. Dan explained that would double the actual volume of the downspouts, and help. The house was built in 1963 so attic ventilation was minimal, and I decided to have soffet vents and a ridge vent added. This will add to the roofs life. The ridge vent was extra as several can vents could have done the job but I preferred the ridge vent. The chimney flashing was removed and new flashing installed, as were all other flashings for vents, electrical service, etc. I asked for lead flashings, that were added at no extra cost. The second company arrived the next day for their bid. Once again the represntative was very professional and nice. That bid included the exact same roofing material and was a lower bid but they wouldn't add roof ventilation or a flashing for the furnace gas vent, which I was told a heating company would need to do and I would have to arrange. I consider roof flashings part of the roof so this was a real put off for me as co-ordinating would have been a bummer. Also they wouldn't install the actual downspouts but gave me a number to call for a gutter company they use. That company came by to look at the downspouts a couple days later and said that they would get back to me with a price but I never heard from them. Anyway I decided that Hillside was the way to go as they gave me the price that included everything I needed. Their three man crew showed up on time, were very professional, worked exceedingly hard and efficiently. They cleaned up after each days work and finished in the two days I was told it would take. The downspout sub contractor came the next day and installed the downspouts. Again, professional! The roof looks great!! As do the downspouts. I feel very good about Hillside Roofing & Gutters and would gladly recommend them. Very good experience!

Hillside Roofing was prompt with an estimate based on quality materials. I checked out the materials with three informed parties: one a client of Hillside who gave me a fine recommendation; one a contractor; and one an ower of homes that had been roofed. The last two looked over the materials to be used and thought the cost was reasonable and the materials excellent. I had five company estimates and chose Hillside. I was very pleased with the way Dan presented the information; checked on the roofing progress, and made sure that I was satisfied with the work. He came by several days and went up on the roof to inspect the process. The work was delayed one and half days due to rain and as a result the workers had to tarp the roof over a rainy weekend. No leaks appeared during this time.The working crew was very pleasant and did not take much leisure time in between tasks. It would have been helpful to have the crew manager speak and understand English very well. Another crew member did speak well. The crew found 2 wasp nests and at least one vermin's hole. I gave them wasp spray and they contined their work. The workers cleaned up each evening and protected plants from being injured. A garage window was broken from "flying " cedar shingles and Hillside had someone out to fix it the day after at no cost to me. I would enthusiastically recommend Hillside Roofing to friends and family who needed such services.

Dan was great to work with. He let me know that we did not need a new roof at this time. He recommended cutting back some barge board that was not consistent with the architectural style of the home. Glad he did. It looks much better. We had old wood gutters that were not even attached to fascia boards. He installed new fascia and gutters. They are hung perfect and work perfect. He also worked with us on the unusual downspout design to tie into our rainbarrels. A perfect finished product.

They were excellent. They are so neat and clean. They understood exactly what the situation was with this roof and what it needed. I got another estimate from a company and they didn't have near as much understanding of it. I was very much impressed with Hillside's understanding of their work and the rules and the whole situation. The cleanup was remarkable. There were absolutely no mess or residue left. They were very professional and really knew their work. What they said about the roof when they tore it off was absolutely accurate. The price was good. Compared with the other quote I got, it was about two thirds. I would absolutely use them again.

Eventually it worked out ok ... but it did take awhile. There were some issues with some gutter work, which was quite a long process while dealing with the angles and such. They did come back as required to get the job done properly. There were no problems with the roof and that work seemed to be a much smoother process. All in all, the roof looks very nice and the gutters are fine.

They were very friendly when they where out there working. They were also very professional about the job. They showed up on time to do the work.

THEY WERE REASONABLY PRICED, THEY DID EXACTLY WHAT WE TALKED ABOUT AND THEY WERE VERY RESPECTFUL. WE COMMUNICATED FAIRLY WELL, DESPITE LANGUAGE DISCREPANCIES. TWO STORY HOUSE IS APPROXIMATELY 2000 SQ FT WITH TWO CAR GARAGE, A SHED WAS INCLUDED AS WELL.
