The saleswoman was very helpful and saw the process through, even giving us a follow up call after the install to ensure we were happy. The pricing was competitive and the people were great. The two guys that came out to do the install were courteous and very quick. They did a great job cleaning up and removing everything with them.

Everything went great. I selected Flynns partly because of the fantastic reviews they have on Angies list. We worked with Danny in sales when selecting the new carpet. He was great...very helpful and knowledgeable. We had the carpet narrowed down to 3 or 4 brands, colors, patterns, etc. and he encouraged us to take samples home and look them over before making the final selection. It was much easier deciding when laying them around various areas of the house. Ryan came a couple days later to measure and look things over. He was great too. He answered all of our questions, was very helpful and professional, and took the samples, saving me a trip back to Lynnwood. Danny emailed me an estimate within a couple days. It was within $100 of 2 other local estimates I'd received (1 higher & 1 lower). We went for it and scheduled the installation. That's when the magic began. I've got a construction background (mainly finish work) and a keen eye for detail and was amazed by the quality of work. The installers did an outstanding job and were very friendly & professional. They moved 4 remaining pieces of furniture (the heavy stuff I couldn't lift), removed the old carpet & pad and vacuumed everything before laying the new carpet. The quality of installation was fantastic, plus, the installers vacuumed and helped move all the big furniture back. I was expecting to have at least a couple scuffs on the walls and baseboard to touch-up, but there were none. There are no visible seams either, even after they showed where they were. Before leaving, they re-stretched the original carpet in another room, drastically improving its appearance. I wouldn't hesitate use Flynns again. It was a joy to work with them and there's nothing I was unhappy with. The entire experience was great.
Description of Work: We had about 95 yards of carpet and pad replaced on a "waterfall" stairway, hallway, an extra large master bedroom & bath, and 3 adjoining closets (one is huge).

I visited the warehouse after having someone come out and measure. Danny called the next day with my dimensions, and helped me to narrow down the type of carpet I was looking for. He gave me a quote right there for a few different carpets I was considering. Originally was going to charge $800 to move furniture, but brought it down to $199 (we moved the little things). Install cost was $79. Removal and disposal of old carpet/pad was about $450. Original install date was supposed to be July 15/16, but when I called on the 14th, they were unable to locate my carpet. I worked with Ryan and Danny who kept me in the loop, but were not able to get carpet for install until the 16th. My install was a 2 day process and they could not come back on Friday. We were headed out of town on Saturday, so I had to wait until we got back to have the rest finished (2 sets of stairs/den). The installers worked really hard and were prompt and polite. We do have wire organizers in a few closets and some of those attachments were broken (although I needed to fix/replace anyway so it wasn't a big deal). They moved furniture and also moved it back once they were finished. They left me about 3 extra pieces in case we ever need to do any patching. Overall, I am really happy with the quality and service I received at Flynns. The cost for install, furniture moving, and removal of old carpet was WAY better than 3 other places I called. The carpet cost I felt was fair. We had about 2200 sq ft of carpet installed including 2 sets of stairs. Ryan just called this morning to check in and to once again apologize for the delay in install. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for carpet.

We worked with Stephanie from the beginning and she was really helpful. She showed us a lot of samples and let us take some home. She was always pretty quick to answer my calls and emails. The work is all done and everything looks really good. They had to tear out all of the baseboards upstairs during the install, and I've noticed some small damage in just a couple of parts. They did a pretty good job patching it up. This was pretty expected when removing all of those baseboards though. They also had to put a lot of nail holes in the baseboards, but for some reason they only filled about 20% of them. I called Flynn's and told them and they sent the installer back out right away to fill them. All in all, I'm very happy with the work and everything looks great!

We are from out of town and wanted to give our son a present of a new carpet for the family room of the house he was moving into that weekend. We went into Flynn's on the Wednesday prior to the moving day on Saturday. The first thing Mark asked was when did we need it! We said that we would really like it to be installed tomorrow ior the next day. He said they had just had a cancellation for that Thursday. We took home several samples and by 1 PM, we had the carpet selected and the installation scheduled for the next morning. We were very happy with the carpet quality, and the price. They came on time the next morning, removed all the old carpeting ( and took it away) and put the new carpeting in by noon. They were very professional and the rug looks beautiful. We really could not be happier and we are glad we went to Flynn's.

This is a long overdue review for Flynn's. I worked almost exclusively with Stephanie and Mark. The customer service was phenomenal and all jobs were completed without either homeowner present. It takes a great deal of trust to let a vendor into your home while you're away! We flew home from NYC to new carpet and zero mess (it even looked like they vacuumed)! The carpet color matched the sample and there were no odd seams or debris left over. I thanked Stephanie profusely and promised to use Flynn's again for other jobs. In July, we opted to remove all the bathroom flooring but we'd blown through most our renovation budget. Stephanie helped us pick out an affordable vinyl and had it installed the same week. The installers evened out areas of subfloor, caulked around the tub and re-installed transition pieces between the carpet and vinyl. Exceptional work and I am so thankful that we decided to use Flynn's for our flooring needs. I have since recommended to other homeowners.
Description of Work: On June 27, 2014, Flynn's installed new Shaw carpet and water resistant padding in three bedrooms and a basement. We decided to remove/dispose of our own carpet (to decrease cost). On July 18, 2014, they removed existing flooring and installed vinyl in my laundry room and two bathrooms.

Man, where do I start. I went to Flynn's with my wife to purchase carpet and install for my home. We spoke to Stephanie and went over different types of carpet and pads. After making our selections, Stephanie offered to have our house measured then provide us a quote. I scheduled our measurement on a Tuesday at Noon. At 12:45pm, I called Stephanie to see where the Ryan (measuring guy) was and she said there was a mix-up and Ryan would call me ASAP to reschedule. An hour later I get a call from Ryan and he says my appointment was never scheduled but he could be over at 3:00pm. So now I have to clear my schedule to accommodate Flynn's. Ryan measured my home in 30 minutes and said Stephanie would email me a price quote. Now the fun begins. After providing Stephanie my selections, she contacted me six times to clarify things. It seemed like amateur hour. You have the measurements, now provide the quote. After two hours of back and fourth, I have my price quote. $9k to carpet a 2100 sq ft home. $2500 more than Home Depot and $3000 more than Lowes. Flynns offers a $79 install but charges for moving furniture (even if you don't request it) and removal and disposal of your old carpet. Removal and disposal is free with Home Depot. Both of these items bumped my quote up $2000. Stephanie called me and stated she would do whatever it takes to win my business. My wife and I stopped in Flynn's and spoke to Stephanie and I told her Home Depot was offering free removal and disposal and a $39 carpet install fee. Even though she said she would beat their price, she would not remove the removal and disposal fees but she did match the $39 install charge. I told her Home Depot was still $250 cheaper and Flynn jumped in and said, "Well at least our installers do not have criminal records" I replied, that is the least of my worries.I am looking for the best price and service and the market is very competitive. Flynn looked stunned. After 30 minutes we agreed on a price. Stephanie offered me financing through GE and we accepted. After 30 more minutes, Stephanie and the entire sales team at Flynns could not figure out how to submit or application for financing. After 90 minutes into my visit, my kids were tired and my wife and I were frustrated. Every step we took with Flynn's was a disaster and wore on our confidence that they were a reputable business and that they could even do the job correctly. Needless to say, we left frustrated. On our way home, my wife and I both agreed that we could not trust Flynn's to do a flooring project in our home. I really have to question the reviews here on Yelp. I cannot imagine anyone doing business with this company for anything. They are a flooring chop shop with an amateur staff.

Carpet Cents responded quickly to our email and set up an appointment. They sent a man to measure the job and Ryan sent me an email with an estimate based on our discussion of the type of quality we wanted. When the estimate was too high, Ryan provided an second estimate with an alternate, lower-priced carpet option. We appreciated their responsiveness and that the estimates seemed fair but still ultimately too high for what we wanted.

Everything went well. The installers were professional, friendly, and excellent in their work. They were always on time. They had to move the furniture for me and were so careful and made sure everything was put back in it's place when they were done. There was an issue with some of the moulding being delivered wrong from the supplier, but it was solved without problems. Mark was great in helping me make decisions since I knew absolutey nothing about what I wanted when I walked in. He was also so good about keeping me informed of everything from the day I went in till the day it was finished, and he always called to follow-up. Daniel was so great about making sure everything was done to my satisfaction.

These guys are awesome. The price was actually quite competitive. Everything was great and fantastic. The price was great. The communication was great. Their level of professionalism was fantastic. The carpet looks fantastic. The only problem we had them was they handed the key to someone else. They were supposed to contact me to return the key because they were there at my property. They could not get a hold of me and so they just gave the key to some random guy who was coming up the steps and who they did not know. And that is why we had to change the locks. Their team were quick to respond and they offered to pay for the change of locks which we refused. Everything was exceptional and good except for that.

They gave us a competitive bid even though we were on the edge of their service area. Another vendor (who advertises a lot on TV) gave us a $10000 price and would discount it to $7000 if we signed that day, then came back a week later with $5100. We went with Flynns because the reviews are good for quality and service and I felt the other people could not be trusted (think used cars) and I did not want to have any hassles, which I did not have. They worked with us to have it as efficient as possible to do the house in one day. They did a special fitted look to the entry stairs to showcase then entrance as we are selling our house. Very little dings or scuffs on the baseboards or walls. The installers were friendly and professional.

I went in to the Lynnwood showroom, and found a very helpful salesperson named Ryan. He sat down with me to look at the sketch/measurements I had with me of my two bathrooms. He penciled out the total square footage and directed me to the "remnant" rolls he had on site for $0.79/square foot. I told him I wanted a nice beige neutral with no faux grout lines. He had three choices that were beautiful, I was impressed for that price and being that specific that I had choices even though I was shopping remnants. He cut off three samples for me to take home to decide on one. We sat down and I wanted to schedule the job as soon as possible. He had a tech out two days later! I paid 65% to order the job, the rest was to be paid after the job was completed. He called me later that afternoon to ask which sample I liked best, so we could finalize my order. It was easy to tell him which sample I chose because he had written the SKU numbers on the backs of each sample. The day of the service, the tech called on his way and was punctual. He had a helper and the job went very fast. He did a little bit of floor leveling that I had struggled with, even though the job was not supposed to include any prep work because I wanted to do it myself to save money. It was nice of him to do that leveling because the job truly turned out perfect. He really did a great job and did not leave a mess at all. He also did the caulking at the base of the tubs where they meet the new vinyl. I was very pleased with the quality job, the beautiful vinyl, and the whole experience was very professional. Ryan called me the next day to follow up about if I was pleased with the work, and then charged my card for the remainder of the total after hearing I was pleased. I would highly recommend going in and checking out these guys' remnant rolls!!!! Take home your samples and you will be pleased like I was.

Mark (salesperson) was great! Helped me pick out a laminate and carpet and schedule dates for installation, and gave an accurate quote based on my measurements. Installation of the laminate hardwood and carpet happened on different days. The laminate hardwood happened first. I had been told it would be "all day" -- starting at 9am. I had explained that I was not living at the house (recently purchased and had not moved in yet), but apparently the installer did not get that information. He arrived 45 minutes early and called to see where I was! Once I arrived and checked in with the installer, it was obvious that there was not a clear work order, as I had to explain where hardwood was to be installed. I then had to leave (as I was with a family member in the hospital) and told the installer to give me a heads up an hour to half an hour before he thought he would be finished so that I could come down and lock up, but that there was no rush. He estimated he would finish about 5pm. I got a call about 5pm saying it would be about another hour, so I headed down and arrived at 6pm. He was no where close to being finished. Didn't end up finishing until 8:30pm. The next day, I came back to see the new floors in daylight, and there were several issues. The quarter-round was not finished; there were a few spots where the hardwood had a small 1/4-1/2" gap before the molding, and had been filled in with a clear epoxy (instead of a matching color; screens had been taken off windows and not put back up; extra product was left in the middle of the living room; dirt & sawdust were left on the back deck with several pieces of cut wood. These last few were not major issues ( I can sweep and move the leftover remnants)... they just made it seem as though leaving the house in a good condition was not a priority for this installer. I called the next day (Monday) and explained everything to Mark, who said that these issues would be taken care of. He would let the installation manager know to take care of everything. On the following Wednesday, the carpets were installed. This went great! The installer showed up on time, and finished on time. The carpets look great -- still! They also took some of the remnant carpet and fixed the top riser of my stairs -- which previously had carpet all the way up, but now had a gap to the bullnose threshold connecting to the new hardwood floors. The only issue is that the carpets were put over the existing hardwood, so my bedroom and closet doors needed to be cut down 1/2" to fit over the carpet. At this point I also noticed more problems with the hardwood. A few boards had gaps between the ends of the boards; a piece of existing wood threshold for the back door had been damaged (I'm assuming from moving the refrigerator outside to lay the hardwood in the kitchen); and a board had an obvious sign of something dropped on it, causing it to buckle. I called Mark again and explained the new issues I found, and was again told that it would be taken care of. The following Saturday the same hardwood installer came and took a look at the issues that I pointed out. He stated that he had not been told the right amount of quarter-round to bring, which is why that wasn't finished. He said that taking care of the clear epoxy would not be a problem -- he could easily stain it to match the hardwood. He couldn't do anything about fixing the threshold. He tried to offer to simply nail down the buckled board, as otherwise he would have to take off the bullnose and unsnap several of the lines of laminate to replace the buckled piece. I told him that simply nailing it down was unacceptable, and finally had to ask, "If you had paid for brand-new floors, would you accept that?" and that was when he consented to fixing it properly. I had to leave (because I was packing up my previous residence to move the next day) and had him finish up and lock the door on his way out. I came back the next day and the issues had been taken care of -- a colored sealant was used on the gaps and the clear epoxy to match the color of the wood, and the quarter round was finished and adhered well. But the bullnose on the top of the stairs pretty much popped off the first time I stepped on it (as he had to remove it to repair the buckled wood, and it did not get put back down well). So I called Mark again, and he had the carpet installer come out the next week to fix the bullnose by gluing it down and renailing it. Altogether I wish I could separate out the two installations, but it was all one purchase from my perspective. Flynn's uses different subcontractors for hardwood than for carpets, so from their perspective it's two different jobs. I was extremely happy with the carpets I got. I would give them straight A's for their carpets. I was dissatisfied overall with the hardwood. My concerns were addressed in the end, which I am happy about, but I would give D's for punctuality, professionalism, and quality. I'm already noticing some small issues with the laminate hardwood -- some vertical movement of boards, mild scuffing, and one pretty major ding. I'm not sure if they are related to the installation at all, or if they've happened because of the type of hardwood that I chose, but I wish that these floors were a bit more durable. I would definitely use Flynn's again for carpet -- in fact I'm probably going to get the same carpet installed in my downstairs den and office. I would not use Flynn's again for hardwood.

SECOND REVIEW: After I wrote the first review below, the manager of the business (Daniel) called me to discuss it. He was very professional and agreed that their Terms and Conditions were dated. I had not engaged another contractor yet, and he asked whether I would be amenable to proceeding with the engagement if he made my suggested revisions to their Terms and Conditions. I said that would be fine. He did make the revisions, and the project moved forward. The new carpets were installed when they committed to installing them and the work was high quality. I would use them again. FIRST REVIEW: We agreed on just about everything, including the product and the price. They were very pleasant on the phone. The final bid they sent me, however, had their standard Terms & Conditions, most legal boilerplate. I could live with about 95% of it, but two sections struck me as unreasonable, so I asked them to revise these sections and they said no. For example, under Section 11 (Indemnity) of their standard Terms and Conditions, if their workers showed up at my building and one them committed a crime like theft or, worse, an assault, that would be my responsibility. Their agreement makes me indemnify (pick up their legal costs and expenses) them for everything, whether or not it's my fault. I told them that I won't take responsibility (or legal liability) for their actions, but I would take responsibility for my own actions. I wouldn't ask them to take responsibility of my actions either because that's unreasonable. They responded that their management was not receptive to revising their Terms and Conditions, so we parted ways. Now I have to start all over again, so I've wasted a day. Like I said, they were nice on the phone and nice by email, and I don't blame the fellow who was helping me. He's just doing his job, but the company needs to revisit its policies. If you are going to use them, good idea to read the Terms and Conditions before you start any discussions; otherwise, you can end up wasting a lot of time.

Staff were personable and responsive at initial contact. I had a specific type of flooring in mind (cork) and found a terrific product from their choices. However, staff seemed uninformed about this type of flooring and what removal of existing tiles might entail. Installation began with no preparation for the ensuing mess (no tarps put down to catch the huge amounts of dust, brooms used to move grout residue around - and into the air - instead of vacs). I am still cleaning debris from the rest of my condo. The preparation of the bare surface for the cork installation appeared excellent. I am confident that the underlayers were well prepared. But the reinstallation of the existing baseboards were shoddy. Grimy handprints were left everywhere, chunks of wall corners were nicked, and the nail holes and seams were left unfilled and obvious. Without consultation, incorrect baseboard was installed in the kitchen. Wthout permission the remaining half of the cost of the project was put on the credit card used for the initial half down payment, which left me no real leverage to address the installation problems or chance to use cash or a different mode of payment. I understand that one of the persons who installed the flooring had a family crisis during this time. Compassion was most certainly in order. However, the company sent that same person to do the repairs on the baseboards over a month later. While some of the problems were corrected, the overall appearance is still rather shoddy. I truly love the cork flooring. I am confident of the installation of the flooring itself. The process and final touches were unsatisfactory and I will need to repaint and repair - which will not be done via Flynn's.

I had a problem with the installers damaging my baseboards and walls so I sent an email to Mr. Flynn. He responded within 15 minutes telling me he wanted to do whatever it took to make it right. He is personally coming to my home with his best installer to assess the damage and fix it. He is also paying for a Handyman to come fix the wall damage since this is something his company does not do. I love my new floors but wasn't happy with the baseboards and wall damage but I am extremely happy with how Mr. Flynn has stood by his promise to make sure his customers are happy. I will be using Flynn's in the future for my flooring needs because he has taken such care to make sure to right the wrong.

I chose Home Depot because they were below 60 square yards. They included a chart that showed exactly how the carpet would be cut out of the roll. Their bid also was more comprehensive in covering items that would have been additional to the job. So there were no surprises in the price of the final installation. I received another bid from a high rated company from Angie Haight and they came up with 77 square yards and $2897.77 - but this was a more expensive carpet. Still the extra yardage adds up. I'd advise anyone looking for carpet to take the time to estimate the square yardage or deal with Home Depot.
Description of Work: I got 3 quotes from 3 dealers to install carpet in a family room, landing and hall. I had computed the square footage by hand and using a tool at bank rate.com. The square yardage came up between 55 and 60 sq yards. When I mentioned this range to Flynn's he blew me off and immediately came up to above 75. Their final bid was for 100 square yards for a minimal repeating pattern of a few inches. Their bid was $3685.77. The job I chose came in UNDER $1900 for a similar quality carpet.

From start to finish, we have been very pleased. Our salesperson could not have been better. He even ordered samples for us and shipped them directly to our home. They really made buying easy. The order wait time was really short, in fact they held our carpet til the painters were finished. Installation is perfect. They did mark up the trim, but most could be cleaned with a Mr Clean Magic Eraser, a couple of touch ups required. The price was about 25% less than even the big box stores.we are definitely planning on using Flynn's again.

They were absolutely fantastic. We needed some carpet quickly as our remodel took a little longer than planned. I had a very pregnant wife who was stressed out about not having some carpet. Went in on a Wednesday to pick out some carpet and they installed on that Saturday. Gave us a great deal on a remnant for the baby's room and installation was top notch. They worked their tails off and did a fantastic job and were exceedingly polite. We had a couch in there I couldn't move by myself and they took care of that and tucked away my speaker wire under the trim for me. I would unreservedly recommend all the folks at Flynn's (Anthony) and their overall team. When we do the rest of the house we'll go nowhere else.

Had an outstanding selection and price range available both in store or by special order. We found several patterns we liked in the store and took the samples home to compare against our oak cabinets. We paid a deposit prior to leaving the store to cover the cost of the flooring and installation. Made a phone call back to Flynn's to inform them of our final choice, so they could "hold" the linoleum until the installers were ready. We had requested Tony as the installer based on previous reviews on this site. Several days later Flynn's called to inform us that Tony had a family emergency and would not be available for several weeks and do we want to wait. Since time was not an issue we chose to wait and are we glad we did. The original bid was to lay the new flooring on top of the old flooring. When Tony started the prep on the old flooring he found the top surface separating from the bottom which could have caused serious problems several months later. He immediately started scraping off the old flooring down to the sub-flooring mostly in the high traffic area. Two hours later after removing about 3/4 of the flooring, what remained was in good condition. He secured the edges, applied a leveling compound, and repaired the sub-flooring. This caused a 4 hour delay with all the unscheduled prep time, but Tony pressed on until 7 pm that evening. When addressing several other small issues he decided rather than rushing through he would rather come back on Saturday to finish. After 3 more hours on Saturday the job was finished and what a beautiful job he did. Flynn's did call Friday afternoon increasing the price for the installation charges by several hours. Considering all the extra work, cleanup, and prep work involved and how disappointed we would have been several months later, we had no problem with the additional charges. Flynn's was an outstanding company to work with. Their prices and selections were the best we found, but Tony made this project special with his eye for small details and professionalism.
Description of Work: Purchased the linoleum flooring at Flynn's for our kitchen, nook, and master bathroom. They arrange the subcontractors for the installation.
