Environix Testing & Remediation

I called and talked to Kathryn. I described my concerns and the fact that we took some samples for testing for asbetos but did not have the result back yet. She informed me that they can perform the testing but do not handle the abatement for asbestos. Knowing my concerns, she continued to talk me through the process so I would have a better idea about what can be done. She was very patient and basically put me at ease all the while knowing that the testing was already done. She also referred me to companies that she knows would be able to help if the asbestos is present and needs to removed. To me, Kathryn who is the manager, is a very trustworthy, kind person and I would highly recommend her company to others.

Excellent service and great professionalism. The technician was uber-professional and answered all my questions. Their anti-mole program which lasts up to several months was explained well and in a language I could understand. When I had a question a week after the service, they were just as friendly and helpful as when I first called. I'm calling them for ANY type of critter problems in the future!

It went fine. Came in checked out the walls and offered advise on how to minimize water problems. They showed up on time.

I am a Realtor and Envornix gave a presentation at my office at my office a few years ago.. It was an informative presentation and they by no means were trying to create fear about mold or other toxic conditions. A few years have passed and the buyer of a home that I was selling had concerns about conditions in a green built remodeled home that had a finished basement. Environix came up with positive reviews on Angie's List so I gave a call to spoke with Kathy at the company. She had a similar demeanor as did the man that gave the presentation at our office. It was informative and very even-keeled. I think I called on a Friday and she scheduled Dan V. to come out the following Monday. Dan's initial appearance was very professional, well dressed and consciences about protecting the house.. He placed shoe covers over his shoes, covered the floor with a protective tarp and wore coverall when he went into the crawlspace. Dan spent an amazing amount of time with moisture meters, humidity meters and Photoionization Detector (PID) trying to discover adverse conditions that might be present. He came across as very well educated and was effective in explaining building materials, why odors are not a good method smell of detection, why concrete feels damp when touch by skin, etc. After completing his inspection he spent additional time with us answering questions and concerns. In conclusion the cure for the higher level of humidity was relatively simple and would involve having a contractor a ventilation fan with a timer. He promised to deliver a report in two days. The report was delivered in one day and he followed up with a phone call to me, the buyers and to the builder. I do not have any relationship with Enviornix and would definitely recommend this company.

Dan was very knowledgeable, professional, and took time to answer questions. The company provided a quick response to my initial phone call by providing a detailed attic inspection the following day. The report was professionally written and supplied to us in two business days.

I was impressed with Dan from Environix. He came on time with all of the tools. Throughout the whole process he explained what he was doing, what the tools were measuring, and what to expect. He took several measurements, pictures of possible sources (interior and exterior) and told me the type of data to expect. When I received the report, it was very comprehensive. From the tests it included the type of mold and the amount. From his observations and recommendations he gave me a remediation plan that worked well. It involved installing a newer high capacity fan (he had a specific one in mind which was great). He also pointed out mold in areas like the dishwasher hose. After following his remediation steps, there was significant improvement in the environmental air quality. I would highly recommend his work. At $350, the price was a little steep relative to the amount of time he spent at the location (which was about 30 minutes). But the quality of the work and his experience made it worth it.

Scheduling was easy, they called the day before to confirm and turned up exactly on time. From start to finish Dan was a model of professionalism and courtesy. He dispelled the myths (if you need this service, you've probably done a bit of research online about it, and chances are you're making some pretty big false conclusions) and gave great advice throughout the inspection. He took time to answer any questions, and explain all the things he was doing and that we were doing wrong. Not once before, during or after did I get the impression I was being sold something I didn't want or need (very refreshing). When the full report arrived, I was given a cell phone number for any follow up questions and they worked with my budget and schedule to find a solution to my needs. Overall a great experience and a fantastic service. Highly recommended.

From start to finish, this project not only remediated our mold/ventilation problems but also our stress level. Dan, Josh, Dakota and Cathy ( the office contact) were personable, professional and downright AWESOME! I might not like mold but I LOVE the folks at Environix.

Tim, an AHERA certified inspector, arrived on time, explained how he would do the testing and alternative sampling techniques he might employ depending on the general findings. He asked pertinent questions about the age, construction and use of the cabin to help assess potential materials and sites for lead or asbestos. Tim took physical samples of flooring, roofing and other materials to send to the lab for asbestos testing. He used a hand-held X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) meter to test doors, walls, window frames, siding, etc. for the presence of lead paint as well as taking physical samples for TCLP lab tests. He was very pleasant, took the time to explain the testing, and allowed me to observe his work. Tim completed his work in about 3 hours. We received the results of the lead testing about 10 days later and the results of the lead testing about 3 weeks after the site visit.

Dan was very professional and efficient. He knew where to look, found high quantities of lead in some painted surfaces and low to zero in others. Based on his findings, Dan gave what I think was very good and balanced advice on how to mitigate the problems. Dan didn't try to push any services I didn't want, instead suggested ways to save money on any further testing and mitigation.

He was awesome! He let me know that I actually didn't have mold. He advised us that sometimes bringing a synthetic material into the house could emit the scent of mold. My husband had recently purchased some new swimming equipment and we found that that what was causing the issue.

The service turned out great. I was really nervous to call them but they gave me a good bill of health. They suggested a good alternative and did not try to sell me on anything un necessary. They really knew what they were doing. They were thorough, fast, and on time. It was a good experience.

The inspector really understood how the ventilation system on my roof worked and understood how moisture escapes. He gave me additional tips of what to do and what not to do when replacing my roof. I was very happy with the recommendations. The inspector was really prompt and came out the next day. Everything about the service was really good. The price was also reasonable. He really went above and beyond.

With water pouring through my condo ceiling and mold being found, Environix was fabulous to work with. Kathy in the front office was very responsive, professional, and calm. Dan V. came out promptly for testing and Jared was in the next day to start the remediation process. Once the drywall was down, another crack was found in a sewage line so Jared tacked a picture and explanation on the wall so that the plumber and insurance adjusters knew exactly what/where it was. Everyone, including myself, was so impressed at this extra step. Communication was excellent throughout the process. When the job was done, Jared was meticulous in his clean up and even cleaned up the mess that the plumber left. I hope I never need to call Environix again, but if the need arises, I will not hesitate. Thank you, Environix!

Technicians arrived on time, were professional, respectful and very thorough. Evaluated our home's interior crawl space and attic/upper floor located the ventilation problems. Provided detailed explanations of how to address the issues.

Exactly what I wanted. A competent and complete inspection of our home. I felt that the job was done throughly and we were able to ask questions and discuss in real time while he was there. The detailed report provided after was very helpful. Turned out that nothing was terribly wrong with our home, and the money we spent to be sure, was well worth it.

Dan provided affordable resolution options to our problems that will allow us to phase in our fixes. Dan suspected our new air-tight windows upstairs as one of the causes as we no longer had adequate airflow in the area most affected. We followed his recommendations to execute a multiple day whole house air refresh using house fans exhausting through open windows then purchased and installed new constant on ventillation fans in the bathrooms. The air has improved dramatically now and we have a plan of action for our remaining problem areas. Thanks to Dan we are now confident the problems have been pinpointed and can be resolved in an affordable and permanent way. We're no longer grasping at straws which could well have resulted in unnecessary $$ spent. Very happy customers!!
