First, I have to say that these guys are first class and stand behind their work. I’m a hard guy to please and I expect work to be done right. Bodine Construction exceeded my expectations and I really can’t say enough good things about the company. They are terrific folks to work with. How many times can you say that about any construction experience? We were in the process of selling our home and the buyer’s home inspector found standing water in the crawl space. Further investigation found that the old drainage system had failed and water was seeping into the crawl space. We needed work done fast and done right to be able sell our home. Bodine worked extra hours to make this happen. Upon re-inspection, they also talked with the inspector to explain what they had done and gave us a warranty for the new owner. There was a lot of weekend work and extra effort involved and Steve Bodine arranged his teams schedule to make sure we could get everything done in time to close. What a great guy. He really does care about his customers and I highly recommend Bodine Construction for any drainage issue. You won’t find a better company out there. Can you tell I’m 110% satisfied? Their reputation in the area is top notch. You can’t go wrong if you work with these guys.

After another contractor failed to show up on one scheduled date and then again on the back up date. However, Bodine Construction was ready to be on site the day after my phone request and completed the work within 3 days of my phone request. The 3 days to complete was only due to the logistics of Friday, weekend, Monday scheduling with a cement mason subcontractor. Deposit and final payment were professionally handled. SPU blessed the work. So we are very happy with Bodine. Highly recommend.

They were excellent and we were very pleased with their work. They took a camera and put in down in the drainage system in our home and it showed the problem that was causing the water to flood.

They put in a special drain for us and did a great job. They do maintenance for us and are very prompt. We trust them wholeheartedly. We were told initially from another company that it required $30,000.00 to fix the problem. This company came in and solved our problem for $795.00.

We have a very wet property, with natural springs running throughout and a stream in the back yard very close to the house. We had several other drainage companies out, and they recommended a partial interior drain and partial exterior drain. Steve came, and was very thoughtful, and took measurements of the house and noticed the far corner has settled significantly. He recommended we get a soil engineer to evaluate. We ended up deciding that it may compromise the stability of the house to cut the foundation and do an interior drain, so we went with an exterior drain around 2/3rds of the perimeter. Very responsive and professional crew. It was a very big project, but throughout, we appreciated the way they cleaned up every night and that Steve or the foreman would respond promptly if we had any questions or concerns. One example is that one of the workers left a trailer for a digger parked in front of our house, and partly in front of the neighbors. The neighbors called us and asked if it could be moved, as they were having company. It was Sat. morning and I left a message, and within the hour, someone had come by and apologized to the neighbor and moved the trailer. We truly believe that he is very skilled at figuring out water issues and appreciate his thoroughness. We have spent money on this problem in the past and didn't solve it, so we are very pleased that he has managed to find a solution for us that maintains the integrity of this old house on a very unstable soil base.

It went well, they were there when they said and finished quickly. Some of the work was weather dependent, and they called to let me know they hadn't forgotten about me, and as promised they came when the weather was right. They were knowledgeable and professional. What they said they would do, they did, and so far it seems to have worked very well. I am about ready to put my row boat on Craig's List!!

When I called to arrange for an estimate they said there would a $75 charge to inspect the crawl space but if I had them do the repair work they would credit it back to the job. Ken did the inspection, he arrived right on time and gave me lots of information about the problems I was having in the crawl space and the yard. A few days later I received a written report describing all the issues and detailed recommendations for the repair work, along with a quote. They require a 40% deposit to schedule the job. Initially they said the next slot was in about 6 weeks. However they had a cancellation and got me scheduled a week later. The work crew showed up when they said they would at about 7:45 AM each day. The foreman reviewed the work with me and was the group spokesmen (and translator) The entrance to the crawl space is in an interior closet. They covered the hardwood floors, a carpeted area and a portion of the walls between the closet and outside door with a heavy plastic so they would not damage them. They also took out a crawl space vent cover and took all the pipe and gravel in through it so they didn't have to track it all through the house. The job was completed in two days. When I scheduled the work they said it could take three days. Toward the end of the 2nd day Ken came by to review and inspect the work. They cleaned up the site and hauled away the debris when they were done. The only issue that occurred was toward the end of the first day. They broke one of the sprinkler pipes but had everything they needed to fix it and did so right away. These were a bunch of hard working guys and they did a great job.

It went well. They did a good follow up and return. You don't have to wait for them to get back to you. They are not the cheapest, but they are not the most expensive either.

The bid they provided was very thorough, describing both the work to be done and even the type of materials that would be used (i.e. SDR #35 heavy duty pipe). This attention to detail in the bid gave me the confidence to hire them. They did a good job and the problem is now fixed. I only have three minor complaints: 1. They said the work would begin 3 weeks after I signed the paperwork, but work didn't begin until 6 weeks after I signed. I believe the delay was due to them being too busy at that time of the year (Fall '07). 2. After I signed the contract and sent my first payment I didn't see Steve again...and the crew that arrived to do the work didn't speak English which was a bit frustrating. 3. After the work was done, I noticed a couple minor details that were not completed - I asked Steve for a small refund, but he refused saying that the he had actually done more work in other areas than he originally said he would. He's probably right, so I paid him in full.

Work went really well. As opposed to the other 3 or 4 drainage companies who just wanted to replace everything for many thousands of dollars and drain water into the backyard into a french drain (or worse solutions), these guys figured out the real problem, determined that I was currently draining into a storm sewer and gave me detailed plans on the work they were going to do. Definitely the most anlaytical of the bunch and when I started talking to them, I knew they has a sophistication of thinking that I felt comfortable with. When I had some water build up next to the house after a heavy storm, I contacted them and they checked the pipes which were clean. I now suspect that my gutters were overflowing because of clogged strainers. But I appreciate their responsiveness.

Bodine did a good job; they were on time and got the job finished quickly and efficiently. The men were polite and friendly and the price was reasonable. There were no surprises that came up either.

They were polite, efficient, and hard workers. They stayed late to get the job done and finished in just 2 days.

Steve was so nice and knowledgeable. I was surprised when he didn't charge me anything to check out the problem, and also told me how to fix it myself! The whole process only took 20 minutes or so. We may need outside drain repair eventually, and I'd definitely call Steve for the job.

Punctual, very knowledgeable, offered options with pros and cons, kept to bid amount, and met all schedules. Could not have been more pleased with the work or the people.

Both the man who gave us the bid and the two men who did the work were professional and punctual. They had failed to notice that additional venting would be needed, but they solved the problem and we were not charged for the extra work. Already our first floor has no hint of stale or moist air and humidity levels have dropped. In this part of the country, that is a big accomplishment.

Each crew came on time and all work was done in a very professional and curteous manner. We were very pleased and will have them do additional work in the future.

THEY CAME OUT IN A TIMELY MANNER AND FOUND THE PROBLEM. SEVERAL ROOTS HAD BLOCKED THE PIPE AND THEY REPLACED A SMALL SECTION OF THE PIPE WITH NEW MATERIAL AND OPENED UP THE DRAIN. THEY WERE EFFICIENT AND PROFESSIONAL.

THIS WAS A TERRIBLE JOB THAT WAS CRITICAL TO THE SAFETY OF OUR FAMILY AND FOUNDATION OF OUR HOME. WE INHERITED THE STANDING WATER PROBLEM IN OUR CRAWL SPACE, AND THEY WERE INCREDIBLY PROFESSIONAL ABOUT IT. THE CREW AS INCREDIBLE!
