I called Olympia Overhead and other garage door businesses on a Monday morning about replacing my broken torsion spring. Olympia Overhead quoted a comparable price to the other businesses and they could send someone out that very afternoon. Jason arrived on time, replaced my torsion springs and fixed the garage door motion sensor lights as part of the service. Those lights hadn't worked properly since I first had the garage door opener installed out of the box a few years ago. I called the contractor that originally installed it for me and he claimed he fixed it when he simply turned the bulb and the light came on. I explained that I'd already tried that and it didn't fix the problem; the light would eventually go out and not come on again. But the original contractor couldn't be bothered with investigating the matter any further. It's been over a month since Jason came out and the motion sensor lights still work. I'm very pleased that Jason took the time to figure out what was really wrong with the lights and fixed the problem.

I called Olympia Overhead Doors today as my garage door sprung a spring! I was trapped! I spoke to John, who gave me an estimate over the phone. Seemed fair, but I called a few other guys, and yes, John's price was a little better than most. So I called back and got an appointment the same day. The repairman (Sam) came out and told me great news ... because of the type of spring, it would not cost me as much as John estimated. It was about $35 less! Sam was terrific. Replaced the springs, did some troubleshooting, lubricated some moving parts, and this resulted in the doors operating a lot better than before. I would definitely recommend Olympia Overhead Doors!

Initial seal didn't stop leakage of water into garage but slowed it some. Installer had difficulty installing correctly due to unusual shape of garage door edge so had to reverse it, with some cuts showing on the outside. Couldn't install storm shield as weather was not warm enough for glue to seal in 2013. Installation of storm shield 2014 resolved water leakage. Asked store staff to small piece in at each end as preventative measure after installed as installer said that could be done if there were any leaks. Assistant manager was very responsive and listened.

Did as expected and also offered tips and ideas for using the garage door enhanced features.

Came the same day as called, within the time they said, took about 30 min, and all is well. What more could you ask for. Great job.

It went fantastic! They provided the service I'd originally contacted them about for a flat service call fee, and also noticed the dangerous installation issue and fixed that as well...at no extra charge. They also showed me how perform periodic maintenance to keep everything in good working order.

Our overhead garage door ceased to respond to the remote activator or the wall switch. It could not be lifted by hand either. Looking at it, it was obvious that the large spring that's wound around the horizontal shaft mounted on the wall above the door lintel was broken. I called this provider based on Angie's list ratings. The service manager gave me a quote on the probable price for replacing the spring and we made an appointment to have the work done. Jason, the technician, phoned about half an hour before the appointment time to confirm he was en route and would arrive as scheduled. He looked at the door and confirmed the cost estimate I had been given was accurate, then immediately went to work. When he was finished replacing the spring and properly tensioning it he did some quick routine maintenance on the door (lubing moving parts - tightening fasteners that had worked loose). He instructed me how to do so myself in the future. My experience with this firm was entirely positive and I have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

My garage door would not go up and when I pulled the release, I could not budge the door. I contact Olympia Overhead Door and was told it was most likely a spring above the door. When I checked, one of the springs had broke into two pieces. Today an installer from Olympia Overhead Door, Jason W. came to do the repair work. He called prior to his arrival to let me know when he would arrive, showed up, did the work quickly and professionally. He made sure the settings were correct and the sensors worked on the door. He also explained maintenance I can do myself to help the life of my garage door opener. If I ever need work done on my garage door again, or decide to get a new garage door opener, Olympia Overhead door will be the first place I call.

Sam arrived as scheduled. Very professional. Lubricated door rollers and door opener track and provided guidance on keeping door maintained. Also went the extra mile and tweaked a separate single door that wouldn't stay all the way opened.

I had a really good experience with them. They gave me some advice after hours free of charge. They set up an appointment the following day to avoid a call out fee. So I was pretty happy with that experience. The price was reasonable.

They gave me a data and showed up on time the day of the appointment. I thought I might have to get a new garage door opener, as mine was not working anymore. They diagnosed the problem as simply a bad circuit board in the opener. The technician replaced it with one he had on-hand. The opener worked just fine after that. He also lubed up the rollers, inspected the springs, and lubed up the chain. I've used Olympia Overhead doors before. They always do great work for me.

I talked with Erik to schedule service on my broken garage door. Sam, the service repairman, was scheduled to arrive between noon and 2:00, and he arrived just before noon. He serviced the door quickly, and he explained what service he performed. He recommended appropriate work. I asked him about the condition of my current door, and he described what to look for if my door needs replacing. He said mine looked fine. He gave me an estimate for a new door opener, which I had requested, and he explained the differences between the three estimates he gave me. Sam was very nice. Called to check availablility and price for a broken spring replacement on a home garage door. They gave us an immediate quote and showed up less than an hour after we called them and the work was done just an hour or two after that. Charged us exactly what they quoted and we paid over the phone. Couldn't have gone smoother.

Company set a day and time with me. Serviceman called when he was on his way. He arrived on time, was professional, told me about what was wrong, showed me how he would repair it, and then he did. Answered my questions professionally. When he was finished there was no mess. The door works perfectly, he lubricated, tightened and put in some new bolts and provided a new garage door openner..

Conflicting product information from employees. Seem to have little knowledge of their product lines. I went to their competition and had excellent service.

On Friday morning, June 10, the spring on my overhead garage door broke suddenly. I called Olympia Overhead Door to see about a replacement. The man who answered the phone apologized that he couldn’t send anyone out until Monday June 13. An appointment interval was set for 10 A.M. to noon. He told me the price would be $175 plus tax. The repairman showed up at 10:15. He had all the necessary tools, and of course an appropriate replacement spring. The repair took less than 45 minutes, and went without a snag. The repairman adjusted the spring tension, and the garage door now works much more easily than it ever had before. He lubricated the appropriate parts, and left a can of lubricant for me to use occasionally in the future. I was given a senior citizen discount, and the total price came to $180, tax included. It was a positive experience in all respects, and I would not hesitate to use Olympic Overhead Doors for any future repairs.
